“Great hotel”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

We had a very nice time here. Place was clean, room was clean, they let us check in an hour early, there was no tub in the room but the shower is very big, that was nice. Was very disappointed with the casino though, half the tables were closed because it was miss week, I can understand that, but they only had 1 Texas hold em table operating that was always full and that was basically the only game I was interested in playing, so I guess the bright side is that I didn't gamble my money away.

Although the hotel is beautiful with many great restaurants, workers aren't so pleasant. So i went to Ac in Dec which I had booked a room at the Borgata and upon arrival my comp room wasn't avaliable, it was given away and they took a deposit fee from my account due to me canceling right there.I was forced to stay at another hotel.
I went back to Ac in Jan and stood at the Borgata which I had no problems checking in thank God, but upon arrival as I opened my closet door to put my bags in along with the fact of a wire sticking out, an iron fell on my hand and broke my finger. I was forced to have surgery and still in physical therapy. As I spoke with a manager about it they told me "they are not responsible, they have no proof if it was the person who stood there before me"
Um it's called telling your maids to open their eyes and do their jobs correctly before someone else gets hurt!

My wife and I, along with my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law, have just returned from a weekend away stay at the Borgata. We stayed here just over a year ago and had, not a terrible experience, just not what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. I reserved writing a review at that time because I take writing a negative review of any business very seriously. The recent two night stay was comped due to last year's issues, which I won't go into here. The stay this time around was much better. We are not gamblers and spent no money in the casino. Had we paid for our rooms this time, it would have amounted to over $900 for the two nights. What I still don't get is that for a hotel that would cost that much, they still seem to struggle from a customer service point of view.

Starting at check-in. The hotel was pretty fully booked so they weren't pre-assigning rooms. They did not have the 2 Queen room that we had booked, but instead offered us a handicap accessible room. This turned out well as my mother-in-law is handicapped and the room is much larger than the standard. The leak assisting me had to call a manager over to release the room. I asked for as high a room as possible because this gives you a much better view of the city and the ocean. The manager first told me we would be on the 13th floor then came back and said now that room was unavailable and she put is in room 931 on the 9th floor. I gave the clerk my credit card, on which they hold $150 per night for "incidentals". When she handed me my room keys in an envelope, she had written room 631 on it. I asked why it said 631 when the manager said 931. She insisted it was 631. I insisted that was not what the manager said. She went to ask and came back and wrote me out a new envelope with the correct room, 931. The manager at one point joked that they were trying for the record for longest check-in ever.

After the first day there, I looked at my room folio on the TV and saw that they had charged $119 room fee to my bill. I called the front desk and asked what this was and they said, "Oh, they didn't code the comp correctly. " The charge was removed.

Lastly, when checking out, I called for bell services to help with our bags. They said someone would be right up. 45 minutes later, the gentleman arrived.

As for the hotel itself, we were for the most part happy. The room was clean and large. However, it was ridiculously dark in the room, even with every available light turned on. Large TV. Small fridge. The bathroom was also huge. Much larger than their standard room. Large walk-in shower. No tub. The biggest issue, and I'm assuming it's just because it was almost 100% humidity, was the room was incredibly humid and moist. I mean the beds were wet moist. I assume it wasn't just that the sheets weren't fully dried before being put on the beds.

One of our biggest enjoyment, as people watchers, is sitting in the Living Room and watching the sights go by. And man, are there some sights!

Overall, we had a great time. And that's what it was about anyway. Would I stay here again? Sure. Would I pay $400 per night? Never.

It is true that you get what you pay for, at the Borgata. This property was built with the concept of being a high end property and it succeed to fulfilling the concept. Rooms are large, very well appointed and well maintained. The staff truly understand customer service and practices that everyday.

The bogada hotel is one of the newest hotels in Atlantic city ,I spent one week there last year , it is so beautiful from the decor to the food it was just fantastic .the rooms were spotless clean the beds were so comfortable no end to the lovely soft towels ,entertainment was fantastic live bands every night ,beautiful shops ,casino was great we were waited on hand and foot never had to wait on drinks to be served ,as for the buffet it was the nicest I have tasted don't think there was any sort of food they did not have ,the room service was excellent ,staff were so friendly and helpful . Spa was just so good every treatment you could ask for ,I would highly recommend the bogada hotel to every one I know, also they have a great bus service to take u anywhere u want to go it runs every few min ,only thing I did not like about bogada hotel was the amount of call girls that were there every night proposition men very openly in all the bars I think this is going to give the hotel a very bad name ,I am sorry I had to add that last bit of information but I think honesty is best ,but it would not stop me going back there .

Room Tip: Get room with sea view ,as this gives u a view all down the strip as well

I stayed in the hotel rm 817...nice room minus that fact my bed skirt and my friend's had semen all over it... It wasn't hard to see either it was pretty obvious it had both dripped and been wiped off on to the skirt. It would be almost acceptable since mistakes happen and I know cleaning staff are human but there was also a HUGE clump of hair on the floor of the bathroom...not like it was in the corner.... It was pretty close to the MIDDLE!! Like I said, I understand mistakes happen but this is the second time something gross like this has happened to me while staying at borgata. I would have changed rooms or complained but I was running late and really only stayed in the room for a few hours....I was there to gamble. Oh yeah.... Incase anyone doesn't believe me I have pictures.

One of my last borgata stays included a big dry patch on the rug which kinda looked to us all like vomit and once there was a used towel in the room... I think this stuff will keep me from wanting to stay at borgata ever despite my love for the staff and casino... Shame

Side note: We ate at old homestead and it took forever for the food and our meat was all over done..the waiters agreed with us... That was a $720 meal that was a waste of gambling time and money. Al of that I assume is not borgata's fault but they are located in the borgata and I wanted to let you guys know to be prepared. Should I stay here again? Should you?

Just returned from a weekend at The Borgata. We have spent many nights at many hotels in Atlantic City and The Borgata always excels over the others. Our room with king sized bed was large, comfortable, and well appointed. Nice large bathroom with walk-in tiled shower. Property itself is beautiful and well maintained with good security throughout. All in all, it is a classy hotel with clientele to match.

Room Tip: Pick a high room for outstanding views of the boardwalk and ocean.
