wedding was absolutely perfect. We had our ceremony & cocktail hour at the Vue and the wedding in the Grand Ballroom. Everything went so smooth and flowed perfectly from one event to the next. We had 180 people for a sit down dinner of filet & fish and everyome raved about their meals being delicious, hot and cooked perfectly. Thamks to Kacie the planner and Lance the banquet manager for making my wedding absolutely perfect!

During our stay we found the staff to be very friendly but totally ineffective and unresponsive and even on departure where I saw a glimmer of proper customer service eventually my hopes were dashed again. We checked in (a lengthy procedure compare with other hotels on our trip) and went to our room. Not impressed with the room as it was definitely in need of a refurb – couldn’t find a room service menu so called room service for one….phone rang for minutes so we eventually hung up and rang the front desk who promised to have one sent up - it hadn’t arrived when we left 3 days later. On the morning after we arrived I reported personally to the front desk that the air conditioning was not working in our room and saw him write down the room number and the fault – by the time we left, no-one had been to look at it and it was still not working. We went for breakfast after our first night at circa 0640 to find the restaurant locked and no-one there. We went to reception who told us that it should be open (we knew that!) but rang up to find out what was going on. After a couple of minutes on the phone she told us that someone had not turned into work and there was no one to prepare breakfast and they did not know if / when there would be. We therefore sorted our own breakfast out that day but did receive a call shortly after 0700 saying that we could now go for breakfast…too late! On our second morning we went for breakfast and the restaurant was open but it seems that we should have been given vouchers for our inclusive breakfast when we checked in (which of course had not happened). Our waiter offered to ring reception to check whether our booking included breakfast and came back and confirmed it and said that reception would send up our vouchers. A lady from reception arrived and gave us our vouchers for that day only and told us we could get the ones for the next day later at reception.
We checked out the next day without bothering with the breakfast as we had a train to catch in Philadelphia. When I checked out, the member of staff asked if we had had a good stay to which I replied NO - she asked why and I related the above tale which she wrote out in great detail and said she would pass to the manager as we obviously had not received the level of service that we should have. This was the glimmer of hope that the hotel did actually care about its customers and the service it delivered. It is now nearly 4 days since we left and I have not had as much as an email from the hotel concerning my complaints……..so the glimmer which might have been the light at the end of the tunnel was obviously a train coming in the opposite direction!
We spend several months of the year travelling and have currently various levels in multiple hotel loyalty programs from base to top tier but, based on this, our foray into the Radisson Blu program will be very short lived.
I will say that the public rooms at the Claridge were very nice – The restaurant and Rooftop bar were also enjoyable with efficient and friendly staff – shame about the rest of the hotel.

Room Tip: another hotel might be better

Dear TrevB56,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Let me start by apologizing for no one getting back to you, that's unacceptable and we will address with the proper team.

Although we have procedures in place how to efficiently greet our guests with packages seems like that day, we dropped the ball and added extra steps that were not necessary. This is not how we handle our guest, and for that I would like to speak to you directly and discuss you past experience!

Please you can reach me directly at the hotel , joseph Oliveira GM

Best regards

The last time I was here, they had made leaps and bounds improvement over my previous visit. Their convention and function space is now fully complete and it seems like their decor has taken yet another step up.

This building opened nearly 90yrs ago originally and even after it was shuttered for years by Bally's, the company that came back and gave it new life (TJM), it still holds up to its glory.

If you're going to stay somewhere in Atlantic City and you're a history buff, there are few spots better than this one for tickling that prohibition-era itch.

Room Tip: A walk back in-time.

Dear Paul B,

Thank you for your kind feedback and for taking the time to write about your experience. We are delighted to read that you are a Claridge - TJM believer - am glad to read you checked out the Conference center, almost 20K Sq ft of space! We continue making improvements and yet keeping that 90+ year look. We look forward to your next stay.

Do NOT stay here. The photos do not reflect what the rooms actually look like. The suites no longer have an occupancy of 4. The hotel removed the sofas with the pull out beds. They expect 2 people to sleep on a single roll away bed or have a person sleep on the sofa and on the floor. And the Hotel Maintenance Engineer had the audacity to lie to the Manager and say we were okay with this situation... sleeping on the floor for a hotel suite that costs $400-$600+ a night!

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE!
STAY AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL!
The staff puts the phones off the hook at the front desk so they don't have to answer for room issues or complaints. They lie about room availability so they don't have to move your room. This hotel will strong arm you into paying for an additional room rather than correcting their mistake of false advertisement on their website along with the mistakes they made and the corners they cut in the first place.

The roof is leaking and rooms have mold and silverfish.

When I was checking out on 9/10, every single person in line had an issue with their room. And the "computer system was down" again preventing people from checking in and checking out.

Stay at Bally's. Stay at Caesars. Stay at the Hard Rock or Oceans Resort.
DO NOT STAY HERE. RADISSON DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CORRECTING THE ISSUES THEY CREATED DUE TO FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

l would also request for your hotel Manager Stephanie to go back for a refresher course in Hotel Management and Hospitality. She is horrendous. Your Valet attendants and Bellmen run circles around your management.

I chose the Claridge Hotel because of it’s history. It was a Birthday trip for my husband, who’s parents used to take him and his siblings to the Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel which was located where Bally’s is today. From the valet parking to the gorgeous lobby to the beautiful vintage room I chose, it was a trip down memory lane for him. There were awesome historical pictures on the elevator doors, including one of the hotels his parents took him to. On the rooftop was an awesome Cocktail Lounge with an amazing Vue, which is the name of the lounge. There is an indoor pool, with adult only swim 10:00-12:00 midnight. It was a beachfront hotel!! The beach and boardwalk were close and clean. We had a wonderful stay!! Can’t wait to return!!
