Almost all modern sights in Ivory coast occupy vast unused space and show megalomania of its time.
Visits are not very organized. Security guard took us inside the Cathedral and called one priest who were our guide and took us through whole place. He was a nice guy and his speech was OK. As I said it's bit informal in the end you are free to pay for his services.
Elevator up didn't work but it's about to be repaired. Then you can have a wonderful view of Abidjan.

My only regret was not been able to worship in it. It's a beautiful church located in a beautiful area. Definitely one of the highlights of my West African backpacker tour.

Its really good to visit during "golden time", around 5 pm. Sunset view from here is so amazing. You can also have english mass on Sunday (11am) in the chapel (church for france mass). Standing in front of the statue feel like you were in different century. So unique. Come on christmas and you will see a giant christmas tree full of light!

This cathedral is a stunning sight, and is a beautiful building both inside and out. I was able to walk around and feel the immensity of the place. Very impressive and a real landmark of the city of Abidjan
