“Excellent presentation of how East Timor achieved independence”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

After WWII Portuguese East Timor was to become ind nation, only to be forcibly made part of Indonesia. This museum graphically shows pictures, videos, and words (in 3 languages including English) how independence was finally achieved after 20 years of resistance, violence, and repression. Very well done and important to understand the basis for this country.

“What is East Timor?”
Reviewed 20 February 2014 via mobile

The museum gives you the background and insight into the psyche of the East Timorese people and their struggle. Multi visual presentations are available and are good. I wish there was more English to read. What is in English is put in smaller print and is on the bottom of the displays closer to the floor.

“A 'must-visit' place”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

The museum is very well presented with multi-language displays. I reckon that everyone who visits / lives here should be fully aware of the harrowing history of this place and the amazing and ultimately successful resistance movement.
