Owner description: Dive with us into the spectacular and fascinating underwater world of the Galapagos Islands, one of the last natural paradises on earth. Discover nature at its purest and most original form, while following the footsteps of Darwin. See what is seen only in dreams...Each and every dive site around the islands ranks among the best and most impressive destinations in the world. Diving with pelagic fish and large sea creatures gives divers one of the most spectacular experiences possible. Encounters with different species of sharks, mantas, rays, whale sharks, marine turtles and sea lions are typically seen on most dives. With some luck, dolphins, marine iguanas and penguins can also be seen underwater! To give guests from around the world the opportunity to dive in this "natural aquarium", Hotel Silberstein in Puerto Ayora opened this Dive Center in February 2006.

We dove with Alex at Silberstein dive center back in July during our visit. I highly recommend it! Alex was professional, knowledgable, personable, safe, and fun!! We dove Gordon rocks and he made every effort to help us see everything we wanted in the area. He was great at educating and briefing the group prior to each dive which was helpful to everyone. The lunch afterward at the hotel was nice as well. Thanks Alex!

We had such great days out diving with these guys, they were alot of fun and really looked after us! My friends did their open water with Alex and I went out on 6 dives. Highly recommend this company as I went with a few others and had mixed experiences.
Gordon's Rocks was my favourite of the dives, lots of hammerheads- amazing!!
Cheers guys.....see you next time :o)

We had a great 2 dives at Gordon Rock with Alex, we felt very comfortable with him as our divemaster. We checked around at a few dive shops, they all seemed to be around the same price. Be warned that the currents at Gordon Rock are no joke - (not that it should discourage novice divers, most of our group was fairly novice and hadn't dived in 1-2 years), but be prepared to do some swimming, hold on to some rocks, and to burn through your air more quickly than usual - but we all just followed Alex's lead and were fine. The only suggestion I would have for Alex is to check our air a bit earlier, by the time he first checked a couple of us were getting quite low. And if you have a gopro, don't make the mistake of just using the head strap - clip it into your BCD or put it on your wrist. I almost lost mine off my head!

So it's simple- if you want to dive with Galapagos Sharks, white tip sharps, eagle rays, hammerhead sharks , turtles, sea lion and tons of amazing fish -Alex is the dive master for you.
We were six people with 3 less experienced teens.
Alex was professional, patient and got us to the most amazing spots.

Equipment was pretty good and we had enough air for 2 40 min divers at ~ 20m

Boat is simple but has everything you need. Taxi to boat was good as well.
Between dives you have an hour to rest, sunbathe , snorkel or just swim.

Thanks Alex for an amazing experience.
