“Very nice restaurant with a familiar touch”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

We went at the Garrapatero after we read the menu in front of the restaurant. I wanted to eat the Shrimp in the coconut sauce. It was delicious indeed. The food and service have a familiar touch and you feel like you are eating mama's food. It may be a little slow if its crowded, but your are on vacation, right?

“Simple but excellent”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

This is an unassuming restaurant on the main street (Av Charles Darwin) in Puerto Ayora. The basics are done well here: wide menu choice, excellent service, lovely atmosphere. The best dining experience we had on Isla Santa Cruz

“Lovely public beach; go late afternoon to avoid the crowds.”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

Got here at about 4.30pm on a Sunday and it was pretty much deserted at that point. Beautiful beach with power-fine sand and rock pools to explore. A good place to while away a few hours.

“Another Gorgeous Beach”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

This is a large and white sandy beach with beautiful turquoise water. It's very tranquil, gorgeous and scenic here. We also saw a few flamingos in a lagoon away from the main beach.

We took a taxi here from the main town of Santa Cruz since it's too far to walk. Then he came back to pick us up at a set time. The taxi drivers will provide that kind of service if you ask and our driver was ok with getting paid at the end. We just negotiated the rate beforehand.

There were lots of finches at this beach too. It was so pretty here. And the time went by very fast. This is another beach that is very much like the best beaches in Hawaii.
