“A must-see if you are there...”
Reviewed 16 November 2013

Seeing the tortoises in a natural setting (if you are unable to make it to the highlands) and to hear about their efforts to restore the population is inspiring.

“Worth The Trip”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

The guide we had from Gate 1 Travel was excellent, good English and very very informative of this center.

We were there over and hour and learned so much on the history of the species and how it is making a comeback.

Seeing the baby turtles was wonderful, and the full grown ones, amazing. A well kept facility you could see the people love what they do.

“Well worth the trip.”
Reviewed 31 October 2013

The Darwin station is well worth seeing, as most visitors will be on a tour, you will have your own naturalist to show you the station. Just getting to the Galapagos can be a real event, so do not miss what may be your only chance.

“Nice place to walk by and see the Giant Tortugas”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

The Darwin Research station is a huge facilities were you can walk by and see the Giant Turtles of the Galapagos and learn about their species and strugle to survive. They might be doing a great job, but we don't get to learn much about what happens behind the scenes, which is a pity. The Turtles center in Puerto Villamil is much smaller and so much more educative. We liked it better then the Darvin's.
