Good location near restaurants and shops. There was great air conditioning in a clean room. Our room on the second floor was quiet. The breakfast was fine. The staff was very helpful. I would stay here again.

I reserved for double room for $75/night for three nights. Jonathan, the owner, canceled it without penalty. I stayed in a single room for one night. it is not a very nice room, but for 30 bucks, it is a good value.
Jonathan is also very helpful in answering all kinds of questions, day tours, giving me ride to Tortuge by etc.

This was an okay hotel for a short stay. Unfortunately they put us in the very first room, right next to the hotel lobby/breakfast area- and the curtains didn't close all the way! I walked out of the shower literally to find myself staring at a worker sitting at a lobby table tapping her cell phone (as they all seem to be except Jonathan, the manager, who is great).
The price is definitely flexible so gaggle a bit, and don't bother with the breakfast. They offered tours but I had already booked with another company.

My partner and I stayed for a week with a trip to isabella in between.

Firstly when we asked the price for a double,
Jonethan said $35, we said ok a little higher than the place around the corner we got offered ($25) but we will go with the reviews, ok. Then he explained $35 each... totally not worth $70 for his standard double! Anyway he agreed to $35 in the end.

He comes across a little pushy with trips and prices are slightly higher than other places but I think he actually puts a bit of ground work in and uses decent boats, taxis, hostels, restaurants, etc... to make sure it all goes smoothly.

His down fall really is his staff, the girls he has making breakfast and cleaning really need a shake up. One seemed to constantly sit on Facebook, not only hogging the only guest computer but its just awkward when you need to ask her for something. Jonathan seems to be a good guy with a nice place trying to organise good trips for his guests but he is totally run off his feet trying to do it all his self thus missing minor details... like changing the breakfast a little from day to day (bread, scrambled egg, jam), the girls could look away from FB and smile when a guest walks in, fix leaky toilet, avoid the whole place running out of water (happened twice), avoid running out of gas (happened once), but these are things his staff should help with.

All in all it was nice but a funny atmosphere.
Good wifi, clean beds, tv, he speaks great english. I would stay again but no more than $35 for us.

My wife and I stayed here through the booking of our tour. We stayed 3 nights and I must say it was the largest and cleanest of all the places we stayed in our 2 weeks all over Ecuador (except for a friends families house). The wifi is spotty (pretty much everywhere we stayed) but the dining area and room was surprisingly large and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.... even doing laundry for us. The costs are very reasonable and include a nice breakfast as well. The only issue we had (and others as we saw) was the fact that they start serving breakfast at 7am. This is an issue as all of the boats traveling to the other islands leave at 7am. Although we were reassured that they knew we were supposed to have breakfast at 6:30am they again did not serve until almost 7am. Other than that I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Puerto Ayora as its only a few blocks walk from the main port/boat area

the travel agency booked this hotel for us (my husband and I) for 3 nights. We had a room upstairs with street view.
The room was clean and we had clean towels every day. Breakfast consist in coffee and milk, juice, bread and scramble eggs.
the big issue was that our tour started at 7am and they were suppose to give us breakfast at 6:30am but that never happened.
A big plus was the option to do laundry at the hotel.

Room Tip: get the ones upstairs

we stayed 2 nights after our cruise in a double room with private bathroom (n 15). moreover, we booked with Jonatan a two day trip to San Cristobal.

+ very big and clean room
+ okay breakfast included
+ free and reliable wifi
+ well situated in a quiet area (3' min walk to restaurants, 10' to the pier)
+ free shampoo
+ friendly host Jonatan (keen to assist you with whatever you wish)
+ good value for money

what could be improved in our view:
- provide more fruit at breakfast (not just two slices of apple)
- make sure that no "unnecessary staff" like construction gear is standing around in common areas (detail...)
- improve the coordination for the daytours (nobody had reliable information and we had to "chase" someone for the required information (what time, where, with what equipment). hence, we had to wait often...

our conclusion: recommended, we would stay here again. we prefer cruises instead of day tours!
