It was a amazing experience! My husband and I loved those animals so much. It gave us a great opportunity to appreciate the diversity of the species and the greatness of the nature. Thanks to our guide Jairo and all the crew members. They are all very friendly and professional. There were two walking tours and two snorkelings every day, fully packaged but not tired. I am not a good swimmer at all, so at first I thought I might miss a lot of fun in the ocean. But Jairo helped me a lot, very patiently guiding me through step by step. When I couldn't catch up with others because of the wave, he swimmed back and helped me get through, giving me the chance to see the beauty of the ocean. I even see many hammerhead sharks! Thanks. And now back from the trip, I am strongly motivated to learn better swimming and scuba diving. And by the way, the chef on the boat is really awsome! Food is so delicious every day.
Had a fantastic 7 night trip w my family. Nemo 2 a great boat and a great value compared to other boats.
Our guide , Jairo, gets 5 stars. Food and crew were great. We really enjoyed all the outdoor space on the deck.
Very busy days with 2 walks and 2 snorkels each day. Busy but never rushed. Tired and happily asleep each night.
One afternoon with sails up was a real treat.
Thanks again Nemo!
Just finished a week on the Nemo II on the North Itinerary and it was an amazing week!
The boat was really well maintained and clean. Our cabin was small but well appointed and truthfully, you are rarely in them! Chef Ivan always was creating amazing meals with tons of food, fun midday snacks, and delicious juices. All the meals are served buffet style with everyone eating together outside.
The crew- Francisco, Eddy, Alex, Luis, and Captain Antonio took amazing care of us. Snorkeling with the Captain was also a major highlight.
The days are packed with 4 activities a day. Usually a walk and a snorkel in the morning and the same in the afternoon. There are also two kayaks on board for guests to use.
Jairo was our guide and we couldn't have asked for anything more. He was knowledgeable, funny, and patient. We were so happy to have him as our guide on this adventure.
Would highly recommend a trip on Nemo II!
My family and I spent eight days on the Nemo II with a fantastic crew, captain and guide. The other ten passengers were also fun and interesting. It was a perfect way to explore the different islands of the Galapagos. Our chef (artist) Ivan served plenty of food and all enjoyable, something for everyone! Our guide,Jairo, was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. Our Captain Antonio not only sailed us around without issue, he lead a couple of the snorkel trips with a fabulous smile. Francisco could make any drink and kept things running smoothly and tidy. Alex maintained Nemo perfectly. Luis and Eddie were always helpful getting everyone on and off the dingy and Nemo safely. They also helped sail the Nemo. Every island and wildlife was more amazing than the next. We really appreciated the fantastic cake Ivan made for our daughters birthday. ❤️ Truly an amazing trip our whole family loved. Thanks Nemo Crew for making some sweet memories and educating us about the marvelous ecosystems in the Galapagos.
Nemo II team provided a remarkable experience for a family of 10 with ages ranging from 9 - 68. They had great expertise in when and where to snorkel or hike that we were able to play with sea lions (I think the reverse is more true - they played with us), snorkel with hammerhead sharks and swim in the middle of a school of anchovies while blue footed boobies dove in the water around us. They treated us like family throughout the adventure.
This was one of the best trips that we ever did as a family. Our group included me and my wife ( grandparents), two sons and two daughters and six of our grandchildren wiith ages varying from 4 to 16 years If age.
We all enjoyed imensely all aspects of the trip both on water and at land. Food was outstanding: fresh, tasty and well presented. Accomodations and Room services este always corteous and non intrusive.
The sailing team was very professional and commanded the ship with both knowledge and sensitivity to our needs and difficulties.
The guide proved to be very knowledgeable and a good communicator. He was also responsible for all the planning of our activities in Galápagos and managed for us being always at the best time at the right places.
Unforgetable experiência for our family.
I strongly recommend this Company, boat, crew and Guide.
We took the 8 day southern itinerary tour that started at the end of April and wrapped up on May 7th and had an amazing time. The crew was amazing - looking after us, creating incredible meals and making sure we got the most out of every excursion. Our guide was Gabriel and he was knowledgable, funny and wasn't afraid to hop in the water and show us where the sea life was. Captain Antonio also enjoyed the water and was more than happy to assist in our snorkeling adventures. We saw sharks, rays of all types, turtles, fish of numerous descriptions, penguins, sea lions and more. Raoul took care of us on board, laying out our meals, maintaining our cabin and serving us drinks. Chef Patricio managed to crank out three delicious meals a day, plus snacks from the tiny kitchen. You won't go hungry and will likely gain a few pounds, despite all the snorkeling and walking. We saw almost every animal there was to see, both on land and in the water. The cruise let us see so much with so little hassle. It's definitely the best way to get the most out of the islands and we highly recommend this company to give you the adventure of a lifetime.
Things to know: if you book last minute, you'll likely have to pay in cash at the office which won't leave money to tip the crew, especially if you max out your ATM withdrawals. (It would be nice if the office accepted last minute credit card payments.) Tipping isn't mandatory - our guide made that clear - but knowing how Ecuador works (workers generally get low wages), I'm certain the crew is reliant on their guests' generosity. It wasn't hard for us to do, as they work so hard and deserve it. The general suggestion (in the industry) is $10 - 15 a day (per person) for the guide and $15 - 20 for the crew. It sounds like a lot, but in the end, we were more than happy to show the crew our appreciation in cash.
Sea sickness and other health stuff: if you don't feel well on the high seas, you'll be well taken care of, one of our fellow passenger came down with a cold and our guide offered to take her to the doctor or hospital. The passenger, fortunately, felt well enough to continue the trip without the doctor's visit. This just confirmed to us that we were in good hands. There is also sea sickness pills readily available on board. Listen to your guide...take the pills before it's too late. I had no problems with sea sickness following Gabriel's advice.
