“Beautiful place ever for a quite vacation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2010

All is good in Dahab Paradise .. I was there spending my honeymoon , great rooms , nice room service and excellent Chef.
All rooms have a sea view in front and in back mountain view . I see it as most peace and quite place to spend ur vacation.

I stayed here for 2 nights in mid November. It is a lovely small hotel in a superb location. The rooms are very basic and small, but clean enough. They can only sleep 2 people so as a family we needed to book 2 rooms which bumps up the cost. That said, we would not hessitate to return for a week because it is such a lovely relaxing place. Our main holiday was in Sharm, and we really appreciated the less developed resort of Dahab.
The food was good in the main restaurant, but a limited menu means its good to eat out too. We had a great meal at the Ali Baba restaurant recommended by the hotel. Breakfast was excellent in the hotel too.
The snorkelling was brilliant just outside the hotel, and water crystal clear.
This hotel deserves is excellent reviews and we lok forward to returning.

We loved Dahab Paradise. But one should know that while this is a lovely little hotel, it is not the Four Seasons - don't expect total luxury. But it is peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing. The service is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are a good size for the price. If we had to do it over again, we'd spend a week in Dahab instead of three days, and we do it all here.

It's just a little bit outside of town, so you'll have to take a cab back and forth (5 minutes, about 20 EGP) from the major strip of Tourist restaurants/bars and shops. We walked it once just to get a feel for the area, but it was a solid 30-40 minutes. The restaurant at the hotel is decent, though not amazing. The Western-style food is a relief if you've been in Egypt for awhile (but there's Western-style food throughout Dahab), but the execution is really hit or miss. To whoever's manning the deep fryers: you're overdoing it or the oil is way too hot.

But again, the hotel was very good about setting up tours, massages, etc., and there was a dive shop also on site. The dive shop guy was great and informative. And there's a beautiful little reef just perfect for snorkeling right in front of the hotel (and, of course, UNESCO-quality reefs just a few minutes away by taxi).

A great hotel.

What can i say i would actually give this hotel 110% if they allowed it on here, the place and staff were amazing! And seeing Mohammed smiley happy face every morning is enough to brighten up anyone's day. The hotel and surroundings are just beautiful all rooms facing the sea. We stayed in a room on the ground floor which had two deckchairs you can sit on and relax. The rooms all came with Air-conditioning which was a blessing as at times it did get quite warm. The restaurant food was also superb and serve all day and night. I was prepared to suffer from a bad tummy at some stage in the holiday but this did not happen at all. Opposite where our hotel is is an area where you can go snorkelling, we managed to do the whole stretch it took about 2 & 1/2 hours but its is defiantly worth doing as the reef is out of this world. We are already looking to go back again soon cause we loved it so much.

Upside? Terrific friendly staff. Can do attitude of management team (they will sort out pretty much anything you need). Good pricing including little incidentals like airport transfers. Close ties with reliable dive school (Big Blue) which make logistics of dives really simple. (Be prepared for early starts though)

Downside? A little way out of Dahab but taxis are cheap and quick to organise. Need to barter for one on the way back. (15LE is fine) Food is pretty good but their menu description are a little over the top! (In reality, think Garfunkel's) When they do real Egyptian food (one a week) it's great. More please! In fairness Dahab as a whole isn't brilliant for food. Weirdly the Blue House Thai is probably the best. Sea Bride for fish is terrific but barter hard.

All in all Dahab Paradise is terrific primarily because of the peaceful location and brilliant staff.

The hotel only has 36 rooms, so it has a more intimate feel than some of the large chain hotels. All staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel was right on the beach, so all rooms have sea view and the dining area looks out over the sea too which is lovely.
Lunch and dinner is a la carte and all the food was of great quality and large portion size. However, if you go half board, you'll probably work your way through most of the menu by the end of your holiday. It may be better to go b&b as there are some great restaurants in town.
The location is lovely and peaceful as it's a bit out of town, but it is walkable if you don't mind walking for about 30 minutes. However, if you're doing watersports down at the lagoon, this is a taxi ride away so be prepared - it is too long a walk to do every day. Taxis are quite cheap though, so not a problem if you don't mind being a bit further out of the way.

We had a lovely stay at the Dahab Paradise this October half term, holidaying with our children aged 16, 12 and 9. It is small, feels very relaxed and suffused with simplicity and good taste. The location is lovely, overlooking the sea and the staff and service excellent. The hotel gives great snorkelling equipment and advice and also arranges really good outings. We had a bedouin dinner cooked under the stars in the hills behind Dahab and a wonderful camel safari - an all day snorkelling exercursion which felt like a genuine adventure. Thoroughly recommended.
