“Gamel Musa”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

Very interesting, that for a very good price I was able to visit Mount Sinai (Gamel Musa or Moises' mountain), while I was visiting Dahab in Egypt. They very diligently to pick us up, took us to the tourist police to write down our passports and ride to Mt.Sinai and Saint Catherine Monastery. I walk at 11:00 P.M. to claim the mountain 4 hours, 20 minutes. At the top, still time to rent a mattress and a blanket to rest. (It was cold). I woke up with the most impressive view of sunrise from the mountain top. I entered St. Catherine at 9:00 A.M. when I claimed down the mountain...Thank you for a very memorable-must do tour in Egypt!

“Bedouin Dinner”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 via mobile

What a disaster! Don't waste time booking through King Safari or Bright Stars or whatever they will call themselves next week. It was a shambles.

We were an hour late being picked up then overcharged when paying by card so had to get a cash refund.

The Bedouin dinner itself was poor. We waited over an hour & a half for them to get the barbecue going because they managed to get the coals wet & then when the food arrived, it was a piece of rubber chicken, a burnt lamb kofta, rice, some mushy vegetables & a hard pitta bread. So not worth the money.

The seating area was enclosed so you couldn't see the stars & they didn't light the fire so we all sat freezing.

On the way back, the driver was an idiot & drove stupidly down a sandy mountain ending up crashing into some rocks.

I am registered disabled & really hurt my back & legs whilst my partner spent the whole night until 6am the next morning being sick.

Most hotels offer this trip themselves so book through them. We were given half our money back but for the suffering caused to us & the money lost from having to cancel a diving trip the next day, this wasn't enough.

My advice is to steer clear of King Safari as they ruined 2 trips for us. The other being Jerusalem which we were really looking forward to.

“expensive and bad service”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

We went in to talk about a trip to Jerusalem. They gave us a very high price, that wouldn't even be with an english guide for the whole trip but tagging along with a russian group. Further the (i think russian) woman helping us wasn't very helpful or friendly at all. The was shouting at the person she was calling to check for information, and was very short to us mostly just saying 'go on this tour! or on this tour!'.
Really didn't like the vibe, so we left, and had some great tours with a different company.

“Jeep trip to the White Canyon ,Oasis and Little Coloured Canyon”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

We booked the trip with Marco in the Tropitel Dahab Oasis who was very helpful .It was 40e per person if we went as a group but no one else wanted to go . So just the 2 of us went ,50e per person. The land cruiser turned up on time and we set of towards St.Catherines Monastery driving for about an hour on the road before we set off into the desert.
15 minutes into the desert we got to the start of the white canyon. This is a hour walk starting with an easy rope climb down into the canyon. The scenery is stunning and they were happy to let us wander down on our own , but there is a guide if want some company.
At the end of the gorge you reach a large oasis where your car is waiting for you.We had a hour or so in the oasis and had a bedouin meal which was very good.Being a bird watcher I spent most of my time walking round the oasis(blackstart, arabian warbler, orphean warbler, levant sparrowhawk) which was great ,no hastle and very peaceful.
Then more driving across the sand dunes and desert up the waddi to the mushroom rock and on to the little coloured canyon.
Not as grand as the white canyon but a beautiful walk , about an hour if you take the left fork at the top half an hour if you go right) and again you were left on your own if you wanted.
Then more fun in the 4x4 on the way back to the road and back to Dahab.
A great day out in wonderful scenery and quite exciting in the 4x4.
