excellent getaway place with beatiful diving spots

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 Jan 2013
2nd time here (last time in October 2012), each time i come, i love it even more :)
very good price to value ratio, while rooms might be a bit basic (but then you not exactly gonna be inside all the time) but everything else makes up for it (though superior rooms are quite pretty), pool with an excellent view, pretty garden and little mountain behind that provides a dramatic night background (lights on) and ultra friendly staff (hi Yassir and Ahmed!). got upgraded to superior room for free only because that was my second stay (thanks Flo!)
as for the dive center - couldn't ask for more - professional, flexible and friendly crew that will make your dives unforgettable, good priced as well (2nd time diving with them, thanks guys for all the patience!) - can only recommend - no better place in Dahab, and forget the trashy Sharm, this is real Egypt! - already planning a trip back!
thanks a lot guys!

A nice hotel located by the beach and providing easy access to a variety of dive sites around Dahab in a less hectic atmosphere than "Sharm".

The service as well as the amenties were good but more importantly all the staff were personable and engaging. Thus proving an excellent holiday.

Many thanks

I spent a week at the Bedouin Moon Hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very basic, the pool area is very well maintained. The only problem I had was the stray kittens wandering into the restaurant all the time. Otherwise, a good hotel in Dahab.

I have just returned for another stay at the wonderful Bedouin Moon. All the staff at the hotel (Saoud, Lucy, Ahmed) and the dive school (Moh, Jasmine, Becky, Dan, Noeleen, Kamal, Akram) looked after me very well. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is very polite.
As a single diver there are always people to talk to, the hotel and Dahab itself is very safe and the hotel dog Solo is charm himself and makes all the guests smile.
The food in the restaurant is excellent- from grilled fish to the hugest prawns I have ever seen. The kitchen is spotless and very well organised.
What more can I say? Come stay here for cheap, clean, friendly accommodation. I can add no more.

I stayed at the Bedouin Moon Hotel for 1 week in December with my father. The room was a basic twin (the cheapest on booking .com about 1 week before), but it had everything we needed (fridge, air con, towels, shower, balcony) and still had a great view! The breakfast was really good (buffet with eggs, pancakes, fruit and other cooked things). We ate several times in the restaurant in the evening, the food was good and very convenient (as the hotel is a taxi ride/20 min walk from the main town).

All the staff were really friendly and helpful, at all times of the day. Whenever I asked them for something, it was there when I returned. On the last day they helped us by organising a taxi driver to stay with us the whole day and take us around Sharm el Sheikh and drop us at the airport.

The hotel was also good for meeting other people as many (most?) were travelling alone, so everyone was quite open to getting to know each other.

I also did some yoga at the hotel, which was good, with a dedicated yoga room.

Having been to Dahab before, I chose this hotel as it was well equipped for what I wanted to do (relax!). However, if you would prefer to be within walking distance of restaurants and shops, this is perhaps not the best place. But taxis are very cheap and available all the time.

I have just returned from a week at the Bedouin Moon. Luxurious it isn't, but it's great value for money, and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I travelled alone and was a bit apprehensive about being a single female in Egypt, but I needn't have worried. I met several other single travellers, and as I was diving with a group every day was not short of company. The hotel staff are very polite friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is pretty good and cheap. The walk into town is around 20-30 minutes, but taxis are readily available for around £2 each way. The dive centre next door Reef2000 is excellent and very conveniently located. I would definitely return.

Room tip: My sea view was lovely, but the mountain view is also stunning!
