Our first experience of the Red Sea could not have been better.
Dive Urge’s picture do not give credit to this beautiful oasis of calm and friendlessness.

We felt immediately welcome and were able to tailor our diving day by day, leaving plenty of time to explore the village, the sea front and even some wonderful horse riding early in the morning.

The room are specious, comfortable and very clean. The instructor were very professional and enthusiastic; the after-dive discussions so useful!!

The family is lovely and very caring; we all felt like guests rather then “tourist” : well looked after and cared for throughout our stay.

Nikki is running the office very efficiently and yet with an extremely friendly touch.

The cafe/restaurant is very convenient and in an amazing location just by the sea.
Banana pancakes for breakfast and a snack after a night dive are lovely …
However we had most of our meals by the seafront restaurants were price / portions are much better value and the service is always exquisite (The “Beduin’s son” by the light house serves amazing lunches/early dinners).

We would definitely love to go back, we could not have hoped for a better place!

Dive Urge is a friendly, hospitable and well organised holiday destination which offers great facilities and activities for divers and non divers. One of us is a diver and the other a skiver and both of us were really pleased with our 10 day holiday which left us relaxed and feeling part of the family. The food and hospitality were superb... we recommend the banana pancakes, milkshakes and chicken kebabs particularly highly!!

The diving cannot be faulted, fantastic instruction and breathtaking dive locations including the Blue Hole and Canyon. There are boat trips and camel safaris on offer too. Non divers are able to go on the various trips and snorkel there instead of diving. The boat trip and Camel ride/Bedouin dinner were particularly fun for both divers and non divers.

Go there and enjoy your holiday!

We stayed at Dive Urge for a week in July to take our PADI qualifications and I cannot fault them. We were treated like friends from even before we arrived and the service we received from everyone was brilliant from booking to leaving.

The club is in a quiet location, but it is easy to walk into the centre of Dahab to restaurants and bars. I have to say that passing other dive clubs on the way into town made me very glad that we were staying at Dive Urge.

Room are comfortable and have air con. Restaurant was excellent with a wide range of dishes.

Having booked the accomodation and open water dive course for the 4 of us after liking what we saw on their web-site, there is always a certain nervousness that the reality won't match up, however we were not disappointed. Ahmed was our excellent Egyptian dive instructor and very patient! The staff both Egyptian and English were attentive and Nikki managed the diving schedule and office with utmost efficiency ....and a big smile!
All meals were eaten on the beach in front of our room and the stunnning house reef (Eel Gardens) is a 5 minute snorkel from there too. A 2 minute walk from the 'old town' where most things could be bought and a 10 minute stroll from the newer sea-front shops and restaurants, Dive-Urge is in a quiet non-threatening sea front location where it was safe enough to leave our room unlocked even with cameras and phones inside. The whole place had a family feel to it, with the owners 3 children in regular attendance about the place chatting to everyone! Stray cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are frequent visitors and goats and camels wander the streets, we woke up to 2 camels sat on the beach one morning! A camel trip and bedouin supper in the mountains are a must and made one of our most relaxing evenings. Definately recommended, thanks guys for a great holiday!

Dive urge was a highlight of my 2 month adventure... As a solo traveller I was made to feel right at home. Rooms are simple, clean and perfect for what you're there for. Great selection of food at the on-sight cafe. About 10 minute beach side walk to food and markets - be prepared for touters though. Spolit for instructors who are professional, happy and, luckily, patient! I even got one on one tuition during a quiet period in July. Also notable for professionalism and emphasing looking after the local environment you're swimming in. Nikki will answer any and all question so don't think... just book!
