Stayed at this hotel and dive centre in late November 2012. Went as an independant female traveller. I have travelled solo before as have backpacked across the world but felt slightly anxious that I might not meet many people, I need'nt of worried. The hotel was quiet but I met some lovely people both staying at the hotel, in my dive group and in Yalla bar outside the entrance to the hotel, (great bar for drinks, sunbathing and shisha!)
My first night I had a room in the old part next to the dive shop it was clean but abit gloomy and was next to a work site so was noisy at night, the next morning I asked if I could be moved to the new accomodation by the pool this was no problem and it was lovely I had a big twin room with a balcony, brand new pine furniture, lovely warm power shower and a big open warbdrobe it was perfect! The pool is lovely for sunbathing and chilling with a book but very cold!
I used the dive centre, I am an advanced diver so did fun dives but felt that the service was very good as was the equipment and the health and safety, the diving was also very good better the furthur you are away from Dahab I felt, the boat trip is very good and decent prices!
Over all this is a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff that serve a nice egyptian breakfast amougst the cats and dogs so be aware if your not an animal lover! If you are looking for 5 star luxury accomodation in a 5 star resort go to Sharm this is 5 star accomodation for travellors and dive fanatics in a quaint not too touristy resort!
