Stayed at this hotel and dive centre in late November 2012. Went as an independant female traveller. I have travelled solo before as have backpacked across the world but felt slightly anxious that I might not meet many people, I need'nt of worried. The hotel was quiet but I met some lovely people both staying at the hotel, in my dive group and in Yalla bar outside the entrance to the hotel, (great bar for drinks, sunbathing and shisha!)
My first night I had a room in the old part next to the dive shop it was clean but abit gloomy and was next to a work site so was noisy at night, the next morning I asked if I could be moved to the new accomodation by the pool this was no problem and it was lovely I had a big twin room with a balcony, brand new pine furniture, lovely warm power shower and a big open warbdrobe it was perfect! The pool is lovely for sunbathing and chilling with a book but very cold!
I used the dive centre, I am an advanced diver so did fun dives but felt that the service was very good as was the equipment and the health and safety, the diving was also very good better the furthur you are away from Dahab I felt, the boat trip is very good and decent prices!
Over all this is a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff that serve a nice egyptian breakfast amougst the cats and dogs so be aware if your not an animal lover! If you are looking for 5 star luxury accomodation in a 5 star resort go to Sharm this is 5 star accomodation for travellors and dive fanatics in a quaint not too touristy resort!

Room Tip: Ask for a room by the pool in the new part.

This is a great choice for solo divers looking for an inexpensive hotel. Rooms are basic but clean and large. The location is good for the bars and shops. Yalla bar outside is inexpensive and has free wifi.

The only issue is the closeness to the mosque and the call to prayer at 4:45am - a previous reviewer mentions the good voice, must have had a sore throat for the whole two weeks I was there..

Dahab Technical - Team Blue Immersion are a great crew with a relaxed but very professional dive center. A must for any technical divers looking to go to Dahab.

Hotel Breakfast was the same every morning, but good and cheap, tea and coffee unlimited. There is a good German bakery near by for lunch between dives.

HOTEL
The "superior room" upstairs, was really nice. Very spacious. Luminous, big window. Modern decor and furniture. Comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Good shower. Good a/c.

No noise problems. Just a couple of times we heard the next door compressor pump working which was just below our door, at the start of our stay, but didn't hear it again afterwards, and it wasn't a problem. There is a bar nearby and plenty of activity restaurants etc. along the water, but we didn't hear any of that from our room, which was nearest to that side.

An important plus, is that the imam at the mosque next door has a beautiful singing voice of which alas I only managed to record a snippet, as the call to prayer is very brief.

Great view from the rooftop.

Location is fine. It is on the waterfront, which means that between the hotel entrance and the sea, is a pedestrian-only street.

It is located in central Dahab, where the shore is really taken over by restaurants.

The problem with this area of the sea front, is that the restaurants tout for business, so every few metres a new voice hassles you for attention, which is frankly really annoying, but it presents a good opportunity to practice your "patience skills", either that or stare straight ahead and walk quickly so there is no ambiguity about whether you are interested, but don't amble along as though you're enjoying yourself. Inadvertently we arrived at one of the busiest times of the year, but it was slightly easier at Eid weekend, when there were even more tourists, the touts were quieter, probably because the restaurants already had enough business. To see less tourists, it might be nice to stay in a quieter spot on the north edge of town, or go at a quieter time of year.

Breakfast is included. Tell the chef you're vegan and he'll prepare something specially for you.

DIVING
The dive shop is well organised. Staff friendly. Rental equipment was good. Oxygen and first aid kit taken for trips (good to see that!). We dived for one week, and had several different guides. Group sizes ranged from 3 to 7 (on one day). Dive sites: The Islands, 10 minutes by car south of town, very nice swim-throughs; some dives further south; Eel garden good for the coral at shallow depths, also good for snorkeling, to the north of the town; Blue Hole and Canyon about 25mins by car to the north, which is pretty hectic, with snorkellers, day trippers, free-divers and scuba-divers but nice diving.

One things that always leaves an impression on me is the quality of service I receive. The rooms are Dahab divers are good but the service is exceptional. From housekeeping right to the hotel manager they made me feel I was their most important guest and I'm sure every guest felt the same. One day I would love to dive with them too and hope to have the same positive experience.

We picked this hotel as it ticked all the boxes: it looked great and had a pool, being close to the front and the dive center we were using and the rooms had fridges - most important for the gin and tonics in the evening!! True to say that it met and exceeded expectations: the rooms were a good size, bright and extemely clean. The staff were great and could not do enough for you - we were served coffee at 3 am prior to our dive trip to Thistlegorm. Thanks to all the staff and see you next May.

Dahab Divers is located in one of the best locations in Dahab for both divers and non divers. It is located on the promenade and around 20 metres from the water which is an entry point for the Lighthouse dive site. I stayed and dived with Dahab Divers for ten days in July 2012 with several friends. I was very impressed with the operation of the dive centre, friendliness of staff, standard of rooms and the high standard of the dive guides. The cost of the hotel and diving is very reasonable. I would have no hesitation to return to stay and dive with Dahab Divers.
