The first visit to el Gouna and it won't be the last. The animation team especially Lilo were brilliant. Would recommend to anyone.
The whole area is clean and first class with views that are some of the best in Egypt. Having been to Sharm el Sheik over 30 times I will return here soon!!

At last, a hotel in Egypt that has impressed me. Never going to Sharm again! El Gouna is just perfect, you wouldn't think that you were in Egypt.

Three Corners Ocean View has the best location set on the marina with amazing views all round.
Great rooms, great staff and even the food was pretty good. Loved it!

We have just returned from a week at the Ocean View, El Gouna (21/12) and had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Firstly, El gouna is a beautiful place, so much different to the madness of Hurghada and Naama Bay. The Ocean View hotel is next to a lovely marina where you can walk around at your leisure and look at the huge boats, beautiful scenery and wander round the shops and bars without being hassled, Secondly, the hotel itself is great. We managed to get one of the refurbished rooms on the ground floor. This was a very spacious room, very nicely decorated, with a lovely modern bathroom. The view was also very nice, looking over the lagoon and because we were on the ground floor we had two sun loungers just outside our door where we used to sunbathe in the afternoon. Couldn't have asked for a better room. They were cleaned daily and you could have your towels, sheets changed whenever required. The food was very good and there was a lot of choice. We also ate at the Chez Pascal restaurant once night and the food was very good. It made a change from the hustle and bustle of the main restaurant. The waiters in here were very attentive and the service was great. In fact the service throughout the hotel was excellent - in the bars (especially Peanuts bar), the main restuarant, reception, Guest Relations and not forgetting the animation team who were very entertaining without being in your face. I particularly enjoyed the fire show which they put on one night. The hotel handed out blankets so you could watch the shows outside in comfort. We went into Hurghada one night for a change and couldn't wait to get back to El Gouna. You couldn't walk two steps down the main street without being hassled by shop keepers trying to force you into their shops.Getting quite aggressive when you refused. I know business is probably very poor at the moment in the resorts, but they should realise that if they left you alone to browse at your leisure, then more people will buy from them.
We also tried the catamaran trip which was very well organised we thoroughly enjoyed it. We even saw dolphins. The trip was worth it just to see them and we were glad we went on this trip.
We will definitely return to El Gouna and can't think that another hotel in El Gouna would be any better than the Ocean View, both for service or location so we'll be back.
Thank you to all the staff for making us feel very welcome and ensuring we had a great holiday. You're a credit to the hotel.

Hi there, El gouna is a fabulous destination especially for first time Egyot goers. The 3cov was a super hotel , we had a refurbished room with a fantastic Lagoon view , we were room 2302, but we think 2301 is the best room in the hotel .
This hotel is all about the staff , tey themselves are 6 * . YO YO , and LiLo the anomation were great and very professional , IBRAHAM , the pool bar guy was good fun , and every single one of the Dining room staff were exceptional , especially MUSTAFA . The hotel manager was German and called Jurgan , he was very hands on, was everywhere, and a lovely friendly aproachable guy .
The position of the hotel was in the best spot in Elgouna, plenty of food , spotlessly clean, and we never ever had to wait for any kind of sevice, the DRINKS WERE VERY GENEROUS .
You could sunbathe round the pool , or a little beach area at the side of the pool , and a fantastic little jetty into the sea , good for diving off .
we never actually went to the hotel beach as we enjoyed sunbathing over the mariner at Moods beach. A bit more sheltered. Weather was amazing , it was only overcast twice in 3 weeks, we went from 30th nov for 21 nights. Bikini in the day , around 27 everyday , and pleasant in the evenings.
The boats around the mariner are amazing, some are £20,000,000 . We enjoyed going into Smuglers, a little English bar off the Mariner, it was great to get chatting to some very interesting people , and the expats that live there.
Peanuts bar is open from 4pm till late , allinclusive up to 12pm , free wifi and great fun , with good music Kareoki and lots of Drinkies' .
The entertainment in the hotel was great , the Egyption belly dance show on Sundays is a must , there is always something going on .
Elgouna is a proper town, on Lagoons that is safe and hassle free, you can walk round, or get a tok tok , its not the best resort for snorkling , but it is for hassle free living. Its always quiet here , I dont understand why as its echo friendly spotless and hardly ever ever rains .
Thank -you 3 corners for an excellent holiday. I would recomend this hotel to everyone xx

Room Tip: Returning 3 corners get a free upgrade , the Lagoon view on the bottom floor are the best , especial...

Staying there from 7/12 to 21/12
The best thing about this hotel is its staff and its location. Our room was located in the main building. We understood from other guests staying in the annex that it was a bit of a trek from there to the main building to have their meals. Our room was 'tired' but but comfortable and we understand there is a plan of redecoration and some rooms have already been updated.
The resort itself is beautiful.
The only complaint we had was the food. We are not fussy eaters but several times the fish I had was uncooked and the grilled steak one evening needed a chain saw to cut it. We did complain to the Restaurant Manager and he offered to have something specially cooked. There was always a salad but after 2 weeks we were getting fed up with this. Also several people went down with upset stomachs - no idea if this was connected. If they want to retain the 4* then they definitely need to find a new Chef.
We booked with Thomas Cook and understood this to hotel to have no children. However there were some children there whose parents had obviously booked with other companies.
One the whole (leaving aside the food problems) we found this a pleasant holiday. The lagoons were a pleasure to walk round and look at all the boats moored there and hoping that we had won the lottery when we got home.
Would we return? Don't think so.

just returned from the three corners ocean view. arriving friday evening and greeted by plenty of staff checkin was quick and easy, and our luggage arrived at our room before us excellent. we found the room spacious and the view amazing no complaints at all. the food was very varied always something different lunch time and evening and we always found plenty to eat if you cant you must be very fussy. Pool area and beach always very clean and tidy, only down side was the reservation of towels on the sun beds which occur very, very early in the morning, but saying that we always found sunbeds for us, even if not quite in ther place we wanted. The staff were always polite and more than willing to help with anything you should require, service was top quality. The hotel does provide a free boat trip round the lagoons but please book early we were told to book a day in advance and we tried to book 5 days before our return flight and they were all fully booked, still hopefully we will return. we dined several nights in the Dolce Vita restaurant, and can totally recommend the lobster, and the steaks, once again service was excellent, and being all inclusive you do not pay for any drinks. It was so nice to beable to walk round the marina which is totally safe, and you can look round the shops without getting hassled. A good relaxing holiday and good value for money. we were also lucky with the weather most days 28/29 and the sea about 25, and for the end of november that was good,.

Great hotel, very clean and well run. Lovely location in the marina area with plenty of bars and cafes nearby. The bedrooms are spacious; room 222 overlooks the gardens and has been renovated to a high standard. All staff are friendly and very efficient. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.
