Hotel is lovely and staff are brilliant. Rooms although some are 'tired' they are kept clean. Hotel has nice touches: free safe, Wi fi, towels for sunbathing, free boat to beach, free transport on some times to town, free air conditioning. Whole resort and hotel had a lovely relaxed feel to it. Did have some basic entertainment. Food on whole was very good and well cooked and kept fresh and was surprised at choice of drinks in all inclusive. Only negative I can think of is certain parts of day and times got smell like drains and shower bit weak on pressure. Can shop without getting hassled too. Jeep safari trip is brill.
Summary: highly recommend and we hope to go back!

Room tip: We had 326 and overlooked pool and lagoon - was beautiful but some night could be noisy if had music on by restaurant

Actually most of reviews about this hotel on this website make you worried! But if you to the water bungalow nothing to worry about, contrary you will have an unforgettable experience.
Definitely the hotel need some updating and maintenance either in the garden or inside the room, but just imagine if you are in a water Bungalow you can go direct to the lagoon and swim and get back through to your bungalow to have a sun bath.

The hotel offer an all inclusive accommodation, the mini bar is at charge. A large bottle of mineral water is free of charge daily. Moreover in the room there is coffee and tea facilities for free.

The food quality is always subjective, but the lunch and dinner items are not the same everyday which offers you daily different choices. Sometimes the hotel organize shows during the dinner and live music.

The staff are very kind and helpful either in the hotel or in Zaitouna Beach.

The water bungalow is highly recommended for a honeymooner couples.

Room tip: Not all water bungalow have direct access to the lagoon, so make sure when you do the reservation to take those with stairs into the lagoon to enjoy the experience. Rooms are from 500-524.

On arrival (at night) we were dissapointed, but in the light of day the hotel and facilities were just as we expected. Hotel was clean, food pretty basic but always fresh and edible. Without exception all resort staff spoke passable english and were warm and friendly, in fact they couldn't do enough for us.

like alot of revewers i did not know what to expect as the hotel has had some very bad revews it was my 4th visit to egypt but 1st to el gouna,
me and my family stayed for two weeks in a water bungalow and it was spot on the staff were very good the food was spot on, i have stayed in a 5 star hotel in egypt and the food was not a patch on the panorama, the location is 5min walk from downtown which we found very handy, also the free internet was a blessing also quite fast. would not recomend hotel for anyone with mobility porblems as no wheelchair acsses. would stay at the hotel again and most likley will as i visit egypt a lot. so if you are thinking about this hotel but have seen some bad revews dont take no notice as they are very very unfair and not a true reflection of the hotel, HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Room tip: go for a water bungalow

Before visiting this Hotel I read a number of negative reviews about this hotel, all I can say is most of the negative reviews are unfounded, this hotel may well be in need of some updating but I found it to be cosy the staff, especially Adel Allaa and Mamoud could not do enough for you the pool areas and the bar areas were tidy, my room was outstanding although the air con was a bit noisy this was not a problem for me the food at Breakfast Lunch and Dinner was outstanding and compared with some hotels I have stayed at in Egypt it was exceptional, I try to visit El Gouna for a couple of days whilst in Egypt each time and I would have no hesitation of booking this hotel again as I found my short 4 day break exceptional once again many thanks for a very enjoyable stay

Room tip: Try to visit Downtown whilst in El Gouna an exceptional and outstanding place to sit and watch the day go by
