I would not recommend Hurghada in general for the holiday maker (if you are a Westerner you will get a lot of hassle on the streets here and you will not find the beaches impressive), but if you want a cheap non resort hotel for a stop over this hotel is OK. The building looks good from the outside and the layout inside is good. The first things which will strike you when you enter the lobby are the large kitsch pictures of Dianna, Princess of Wales and its tacky but fun dated decor. I got the impression that this place peaked in the 1980’s and has gradually run down hill since. I stayed here for one night, the up side is that it is located in the centre of town with lots of places to eat and it is only 10 minutes walk to the coast (but you will have to pay a resort hotel to access their beach). Free WiFi is available in reception and the staff tried their best to be helpful but their grasp of English was poor despite the fact that this place caters for Western holiday makers. Breakfast was OK, the hotel is generally light and airy and some rooms have limited views out to the coast.
If you have to holiday in Hurghada you may be better off with a resort hotel which will protect you from the hassle of walking the streets, but if you are looking for a cheap one night stop over, this place will do the job. My tip is to ask for a corner room with balcony and a view to the coast.
