We stayed in December and were lucky with the weather.
Positive sides:
Beautiful beach and nicely organized
Excellent swimming pools for those who need them but the main one is really cold.
Good looking hotel from the outside.
Negatives:
Service is too bad, rooms are not clean properly and the staff touched our belongings.
Horrible inattentive service in the buffet, the food is just to avoid starvation.
Beware of restaurants! You can get food poisoning.
Beware of the hotel bars, you can wait forever to get served, even if you tip them.
The check in/check service out , or rather lack of service, is is appalling. The staff tries to extort money under any occasion.
People offering massage don't let you to relax on the beach bugging you every 10 minutes.
If the beach and the sea your priority you can go there. Don't expect decent service and food.

We spent one week in the best 5 egyptian* hotel. It is far from crowded and noisy Hurghada,in a splendid bay, with good facilities and a great staff for English speaking.
Rooms are cleaned by men,but it was ok.Restaurant was clean, we ask chief Wael how to dress the food and he was always glad to help us.Great cuisine, tasty and sure.
Great animation team(Rema,Jamaica) on the beach and at the disco.Frendly Tania was painted all the day the kids at the Kids Club, but unfortunately she do not speak English.
Nobody not mentioned that near the jacuzzi pool, the rooms are not finished and the workers are inside the club(undisturbed). This is not Movenpick or Steigenberger, but it
worse the money and we founded unexpectedly good services. Thanks for everything!

Well my spouse and I, we spent our week in this hotel.
It worse the money we paid, about 25 per day per person.

The staff is polite and respectful, as long as you are with them.

Our room was clean, towels are changed. Every time we had our bottles of water. TV set is plain of channels.

Beach is clean, bar is near by pool. You can ask your free cocktails with or without alcohol. However service promoters are like flies, at least two of them interrupt your sunbath. But we found a solution, to say them directly, if we are not interested, without listening them.

An entertainment program is proposed all the day. So you always have something to do.

Well the food. As I read previously, I can say, that it's better now. Glasses are well cleaned, but tables are in a poor state. The staff is unable to manage this amount of people. There is a large variety of food, you have to find yours. Never eat the same thing. Some local dishes and some imported.

We tried aqua-park Titanic, we loved. Nice sensations. But safari with "Bawaya", or something like that, was poor. You drive in one line, no freedom. Nothing interesting.

It worth that money. Try it!

We had a great week at the Old Palace. Very clean, the cleaning staff was working 24 hours a day (like most of the other staff too....). The food was ok when we got used to it, and knew were everything was.. The only thing we wasn`t satisfied with was the all inclusive alcohol. All the spirits tasted like it was homemade. The beer was good, but the glasses sooo small. You needed 4 glasses to get a pint I think... The pools and the beach was lovely! All in all a great place to stay!

just got back from a 2 week holiday had a great ime.the location is perfect for a chill out break yes it is isolated nothing within walking distance. the pool is great and never to busy, the beach is a stones throw away with a few small reefs but plenty of fish. we walked 100 m to the left of the hotel by a jetty and had the beach to ourselfselfs.
rooms large and clean, staff try there best but a few EGP pounds helps you for better service.
ok food not great if you are english but you won,t starve hotel caters for the majority which are russian who are great to watch.
please just go and enjoy we will be looking to go again.
in 4 or 5 years this will be the place to go in egypt.
