We spent a week at the jungle aqua park in early March. It was fantastic!
We have 2 young kids - (2 and 4) and they loved it. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff polite and the pools are wonderful. We stayed in a larger family room but even the normal bungalows have a separate area with a bunk bed. Most rooms look out on to a secluded pool. Only the heated ones were warm enough for the little ones to swim in but ours were happy to paddle in the shallow end.
Food was good for an AI - much better than other AI's that we have been to and the wine was surprisingly palatable. The children's pools (2 of them) were great fun and the aqua park didn't have many queues. One of out favourite pools was the one with the inflatable boats and wave machine. If you are bringing children, I would recommend bringing an inflatable with you or buying one out there. Much more fun to be had that way!
The evenings were a bit quiet - which suited us. The temperature dropped a little but on several night, it was nice enough to sit out with a drink. There is an active kiddies disco every night which our little ones loved.
The hotel next door offered camel / horse rides (we were charged $2) and also a light show which was average. We did walk round the 3 sister hotels and Jungle Park was by far the nicest - spacious and uncrowded. The beach makes a bit of a change of scene but not really worth going to. It is man-made and all I saw in the water was a dead squid! We didn't feel the need to return to the beach with the vast array of pools in the resort itself. There is also a great supermarket 10 mins walk up the road which also has free wifi (otherwise 50 euros for the week).
It was nice hearing lots of different languages being spoken in the park - made it feel more away from home. We had no problems whatsoever with rude europeans!!
All in all - this resort is highly recommended - especially if you have kids who love swimming. I would look elsewhere if you want lots of snorkelling / diving (go to Sharm for coral was what all the locals were telling me!) The accommodation is not luxurious but very clean and comfortable. The pools, layout and vibe of the resort are what made it for us!
