“2 week get away”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Me and my partner have just come back from a really nice 2 week stay at Titanic Palace.
The hotel: Overall the hotel is a really nice place to stay, its spacious, always somewhere to sit and drink in the lobby bar. The hotel was really big and quite easy to get lost on the first couple of days as it was connected to Titanic Beach. You have full access to titanic beach (pool, restaurants, gym, spa, beach, slides etc) but we didn't really venture into titanic beach.

Food,Drink and Restaurants: There were 2 main restaurants in titanic palace and 2 in titanic beach which served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast there was a variety of pastries, pancakes, doughnuts, eggs, beans, couscous, sausages, cereal and fruit. We stuck to pancakes, croissants and doughnuts and occasionally had sausages and beans but they weren't the usual baked beans they were kidney beans in tomato or brown mushy beans.
Lunch they served a variety of foods which were more or less the same each day but cooked differently (beef, chicken, rice, fish, veg) as well as salad, fruit and cold meats. Dinner was the same as lunch really always had rice, chicken, beef, fish, veg etc. There is a pasta station, grill station, salad station and most nights had chips. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all had a selection of desserts usually bite sized cakes. The restaurants were large and we usually got a table as there was only 2 of us but for a family of 3+ as soon as you see a table being cleared you have to claim it.

Pool,Beach,Slides: there are several pools in each hotel and it was always easy to find a couple of free sunbeds. You didn't have to get up at a ridiculous time to put your towels on them. The beach is right at the end of the hotel so it only takes a few minutes to walk down there, its a lovely sandy beach with sunbeds, wind break and umbrellas ( you have to get there early to get a cushioned bed). When the tide is in its in touching distance which is good if you have children as its easy to keep an eye on them. When the tide is out its nice to go for a stroll out to sea but watch out for jellyfish, crabs and starfish, there's millions of starfish! The pier is quite long but there is a free mini bus that goes to the end and back. There are a few sunbeds on the pier and there are stars that you can go snorkeling off. We bought snorkeling equipment from our hotel and went off the pier 4 times, the fish are so colourful and swim so close to you, the coral is really pretty so its worth buying an underwater camera. Our pictures came out great.
The slides are where most people go I think. It was always busy with children. There are 5 or so slides which all need rubber rings and boats to go down so there is always a queue to get them but you cant take it back to your sunbed to use after. Kids will try and take them off you before you've even gotten off of the boat!

The room: our room was spacious and the TV was large. Our room had 2 separate beds which we tried to push together, the next day the house keeper moved the furniture around so that the beds were together. The bathroom was average size with a large shower. All the rooms has AC which we had on every night and it definitely makes a difference. The housekeeper made our own towels into animals and made some of our clothes into butterflies, which creased easily so make sure you put all your clothes away.

Trips: We went on 3 trips booked through our rep. There are people that will come up to you and try and sell trips which sound really good but they are over priced and our rep said sometimes they say you're going to a island but take you to a different one instead or stay you get lunch included when actually you have to pay for it. We booked a day trip to Luxor which was £60 each, transfer, attractions, lunch included the only thing we paid extra for was drinks and a boat trip down the Nile. The coach was meant to me 3hours but was actually 5 hours.
The second trip was to the Mahmya Island. we got the coach to the marina then a 40min boat trip to the island. It is lovely there, golden sands, crystal clear sea. We got given snorkeling equipment there so we didn't have to bring our own. Had about an hour on the beach then the boat took us to a coral reef where we spent about 45mins snorkeling. Its worth taking an underwater camera. Headed back to the island or a buffet lunch in the restaurant, only had to pay for drinks. Then had about 1 hour 30 on the beach then headed back to the hotel.
The last trip we went on was diving, it was about £45 per person for 2 drives and lunch included. When we was on the boat the instructor took us through everything we needed to know about diving and the equipment. We were the first couple to drive, the instructor stays with you the whole time whilst diving, helps you if you have a problem, shows you where to look etc.Had lunch on the boat then went to different reef for the second dive both lasting 30mins. The only down side is that most of the time you're waiting around on the boat for each person to do their dive.

Free a la carte and massage: on arrival you get given 1 free a la carte restaurant per week of stay and 1 massage per stay. You have to book your massage quite early in your stay, we left it till the last couple of days to book it but they couldn't fit us in so instead she gave us a discounted rate for a full body massage and 30mins in the spa which we had on the last day. Its not clear how to book the A la carte restaurant, we went to reception and they said you have to book it between 10-1 another guy looked at us like he had no clue what we was talking about but in the end we found out you have to book it at guest relations which is in reception but not at the main desk.

The whole stay was really lovely, some people say its not good for couples to go because there's a lot of kids there but we just took no notice. The only downside was the amount of Russians and Germans there, they have no manners what so ever, push in, don't say thank you or acknowledge that you are there.

Warning : So we was having a great holiday everything was good and the little things didn't really bother us anyway. On the last day my partner went up to reception to ask about extending the room (you have to be out by 12 noon) but our coach wasn't picking us up till 6.30. So he went to reception to find out about extending it, the guy he spoke to said to him that we could have it till 3 for free but after that up until 6 we would have to pay €40. So he said okay we will have it up until 3 then. So he came back then we went to the pool for a bit then up to the room until 3, got a call from reception at 3 saying they will come and collect our bags. We went up to reception to check-out and he said we had to pay £27 pound for staying in the room!...so we said no the guy said we could have it up till 3 for free so we argued with them about it, they were saying he would not have said that and we had to pay, then the guy my partner originally spoke to denied it all and said he never said anything like that! We stood there for about 1 hour 30 arguing with them about it and in the end we gave up and paid it.
So make sure if you do want to extend the room they tell you exactly how much it is and pay it when you ask to extend rather than when you check out for that they cant charge you more.

But don't let some of these negatives make you think otherwise about staying here, It was a really nice hotel and the people that worked there were friendly and helpful (except reception), there was entertainment every evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved each day there.

Room Tip: Our room was a standard room on the second floor quite close to the front of the hotel. Most people...

Titanic Palace is one of the best hotels in Hurghada and it look spectacular.. Magnificent marble interior and big specious halls make you feel amaze. I had a opportunity to visit Resta Grand Hotel in Marsa Alam and also Le Pacha in Hurghada both 5* both looks great (Resta Grand it the best from all). But let's go to the review:

Rooms: specious, with A/C, clean and with all you need for your pleasant stay (incl. Raid - electric insect device which is really needed here). Bathroom is very simple but have all you need during your stay - big shover, WC and sing with complimentary shampoo and shower gel exchanged every day. You have to remember that even tho you are in 5* hotel it is not the same as European 5*. So you can experience a lot of construction and fine details are not completed to precision (painting, wobbly table etc..).

Food/Dining: Hotel is completely packed with people and you can see them everywhere. Especially in restaurants (Hotel offer 2 large restaurants - free of charge which both of them offer exactly the same food). Stuff here is nice and make you feel welcome however the large number of people makes this place a bit messy and kids which are running everywhere and also crying all the time during you dinner/lunch/breakfast makes this place so noisy that you'd like to spend as less time as possible. Just eat and leave. Food is good, however after one week I was so happy that Im back in Europe and do not need to eat it anymore. Cakes, fruits, veggies all you can imagine however after 3 days you will have enough of all. Ice cream served everyday till 20:00 however if you'd like to have a ice cream you have to go through millions of screaming and pushing kids :(

Slides / Aquapark / Sea: great for relaxation and fun. I have not found any disadvantage of this maybe just wild river is open only during specific time and for limited number of people so you have to wait in line to get your ride. Sea is nice and warm however you have to go to pier to get to the water (complimentary bus for those lazy and fat people). From the beach to pier it will take you 5mins and it's nice walk.

Inside the hotel you can found small local shops incl. Egyptian sales which will be very intense with their offers and would like to invite you to theirs shops (TIP: if you'd like to buy perfume do not buy it in hotel as the price is very high. 75ml of pure perfume oil cost max. €25 - do not pay more - go somewhere else). No free WiFi only if you pay 8$ per hour. Other activities such as animation is a standard and pretty much the same as els were so not going to comment this.

Summary: Nice hotel with ENORMOUS number of kids (screaming and running everywhere) so if you are looking for piece and quiet go to different hotel ( the best is Primalife Makadi Bay). Also some of the tourists especially Russian which is majority in Egypt, can be difficult when they drink a lot all day in the sun and continue at the dinner. Pool is open from 8- 18:00 with free towel service and life guard.

Room Tip: I recommend rooms with access to pool (€10/day or private bungalow €15/day).

This hotel was described and sold to myself and family as 5* all inclusive, maybe some of the hotel ie lobby area are five star nothing else is.....

The staff are very friendly but the majority off them expect a large tip from you.

The food is very very basic and based on the majority of Russians taste who go to this hotel, I cannot say I enjoyed 1 meal at this hotel even the speciality restaurants are below average. I would not say I was a fussy eater at all but the chef could not even get a basic omelette right on a morning. I lost three pounds in weight in a week lol x

The rooms on the whole look nice but are in need of repair in some areas, the wires were bare on our hairdryer and the sealant around the bath was all black when you emptied the bath it came back up in the shower which had a major leak and smelled awful of urine.

The cleaners I must admit did a 5* star job at keeping the room clean.
The bar attenders have a lot to contend with but do a 5* star job also.
The receptionist can somewhat be rude and unhelpful.

Be prepared to take lots of money I could not describe this as all inclusive, you have to pay for popcorn, candy floss the childrens games room at £6.50 per hour for them to use the games. If you want strawberries etc these are also to be paid for, the orange juice they serve is so watered down they actually walk round to try and sell you a glass at about £2.50. And the internet do not get me started on that it is so expensive, and if you cannot get connected they will not give you a refund, so to say the least I did not have a connection all week.

The pools and the slides are the best asset of the hotel and my children enjoyed them thoroughly.

I love to shop so outside the hotel their are a few shops available but you are literally hounded from the moment you leave the complex it is not a pleasurable experience at all and was quite intimidating when it got dark for myself and my 10year old daughter we felt uneasy so went back to the complex.

We did go on a few trips which were not expensive and enjoyed a snorkelling trip and safari with a quad bike ride in the dessert.

All in all I would not rush back to Egypt and would most definitely not go back to this hotel I do not know how other hotels fair. But I did read trip advisor before I went and thought I would make up my own mind x

Room Tip: All rooms have good location

We visited here 13th may. I was a little uncertain after reading reviews on here. Somethings i agree with others not.
Firstly my biggest complaint is evening entertainment/activity. There isnt much to it. The animation team didnt seem to bother with the english none of it seemed to be in english either. I couldnt understand why cram everyone around the tiny stage in hotel when there is the arena.
The hotel grounds are amazing, the hotel itself is lovely rooms are in need of a little TLC but are nice. Water and fizzy drinks in your room fridge everyday. We recieved a suite upgrade an vip bands as on honemoon. We used the following a la cartes indian (lovely) chinese (stuck in a corner away from everyone an ignored, not happy) italian (staff where very helpful with my picky diet) the main restaurants are ok could maybe do a theme night instead of a la cartes???
Place is over run with Russians who are rude ignorrant greedy and wasteful. Simply smile, use please and thank you it will get you everywhere. Love the little shops inside and just outside the hotel.
Waterpark slides are a great laugh breaks the day up.
Definatly use the free shuttlebus to the harbour (can get FREE WIFI) disappointed at the fact they wanted to charge €6 an hour!! Its a 5* all inclusive!!
The shuttlebus (20egp return p/p) is worth a trip be aware they do not have rules when it comes to driving!!
One last thing i noticed is that russians get away with anything for instance we watched the FA cup final in the VIP lounge and one of the english guys daughter who was 8 came in and she was asked to leave by hotel staff yet 5 days later we were sat in there with 4 russian kids aged 1-4 running riot yet where not asked to leave....
Definatly worth purchasing swim shoes we saw some amazing fish just walking along side the jetty... jellyfish, puffa, stingrays to name just a few.
All in all i would return but would like free wifi!!!

we have just come back from a fun filled week at the palace. Found the hotel staff and food really good, as well as the beach staff really nice frendly people. Ignore the russians whom we found very rude impolite to the staff and genraly cold and unpleasant. Best thing to do is to ignore them and treat the staff well. Please and thank you goes a very long way here, as the service you will get will be 11/10 as they will always serve the brits 1st and make the russians wait.

We would happly recommend the Titanic palace verŷ good for families.
Breakfast very good with the pancakes and omlettes and breadwith lots of fruit.
We just cannot understand why people have no patence and expect eveything now. Your on holiday chill out and maybe drink less vodka.

We are in this hotel third time because we liked it before. Surraundings, rooms pools are still ok, we liked that beach is very spacy and depth in the sea is 0,5 m , because of the kids. But service and food this year are very poor. Kids are almost hungry every breakfast, because there is only very d quality sausages and crepes, but even to get those crepes you need to stand in the line and wait till cook prepares them. I realy do not understand why they can not prepare those crepes before breakfast and leave them , soeveryone could take them as much as they want. The same is with vegetebales. During lunch or diner we always need to stay and wait in the line till cook cuts some tomatoes and other vegetebles. Please cut them before diner, like you did in previuos seasons. The same is in pool bar. There is always a line of people who are waiting till someone gives chips and burger. And this is called 5 stars all inclusive.I am not talking about variety of foods. There is nothing to say about that because the is no any variety. Every day the same booring meals. By the way because we are in this hotel third time we got vip bracelets. With it itis possible to get a breakfast in lebanese ala carte restaurant. What a shame. In this restaurant during breakfast there is no even one hot meal.
Animation is very poor too, but i can not complain about that because it was poor and previuos times.

we travelled to the palace in april 2014 the temperature was about mid 80s but a breeze made it feel a cooler the pools still freezing apart from the heated one. this is our 4th time at these hotels and apart from the mozzies in our room it was again a very good relaxing holiday. the hotel was very quiet and sunbeds were easy to get whatever time of the day you went down.
the Palace seems to be the place where most of the russians were with the beach spa having most of the english.

the food did seem to have gone down hill since i last went but you wouldn t go hungry there is always something for everyone
the chinese restaurant has lovely food
i wouldnt rule out a 5th time to the titanic

Room Tip: mozzies are quite prolific if you are near the bungalows
