Stayed here for 1 night after a blue o two diving holiday. We had a few problems checking in, because i think we were an unmarried couple. the first member of staff to try check us in was adamant there were no double rooms left - what huge hotel sells out of double rooms and needs to give s two single rooms for the same price??. after a few words with another staff member they suprise suprise found us a double room! I need to add we were with a group and other couples were married experienced none of these problems, so not the best experience to start our stay with! The room was great after a week aboard a ship, bed was huge and very comfortable and the room decor was modern yet traditional. There was a good sized tv, free bottled water and coffee/tea main facilities, and a mini bar in the room. The bath room was adequate, not quite what you would expect for a five star hotel, it was all clean, but dated and little things were in need of repair, but this didn't really detract from our stay. There was a huge balcony on the side of our room, with full sun during the day, so I felt this space could have been used more with providing a table or something. The buffet breakfast was good with lots to choose from. We also ate at the pool side restaurant and the food there was fresh and well cooked. The hotel is not in the main area of hurgarda, but taxis are so cheap you can get there for £3 (English money) - they will try charge you six, but we always got there for £3 / 30 Egyptian, so I would prefer to stay away from the noise and just get taxi when needed. Even though we has the problems which checking in, I would still stay here again, because it was resolved, I just think you need to be firm with the staff and make sure you get what you want, that said with any place here. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and they tried to tell us we had under paid even though we had vastly overpaid, in the end the manager sorted it out and told us we were correct and his other staff had made a mistake? Hmmmmm, as long as you stick your ground you will be fine! So basically, good room, good food, good beach, would stay again. Thankyou for a pleasant stay :)
