I went with my friends in july for 7days. The hotel is very good and the food and drink are not bad. You will get pestered by staff all the time but say a firm no and they will go. Please be very careful if you going for sexcapades. 2 of my friends caught something very serious when there and they will regret it for the rest of their lives. we just found out that some guys there make you feel like you are the most beautiful girl in the world. But they do that to hundreds of girls. So Ladies be very careful. catching nasty diseases in your 40s isn't nice. Other than that, enjoy the sunshine and the pool. can get very hot this time of the year though.

Great hotel. Frequent returnees. Meta couple who had been 7 years running so speaks for itself. The only problem was that pool is too small for size of hotel even with the lagoon which was amazing anyway. Big thank you to dina, Mido, mambo and the entertainment team you were fab. Not much to do on a night in hotel but close enough to hurghada to venture out. Overall was great. Would definitely go again. The guy in one of hotel shops drew both my dogs and did an amazing job from photos off my phone. Absolutely fantastic and can't wait to return.

We stayed in two different rooms. For a total of 7nights. The whole of hurghada has a big issue with the Russian touristic volumes. These tourist are of a new negative order. To avoid this I suggest to do a cruise. More fun, culture but not all in.

3 big Downers:
-Both room had terrible beds. (Guess that goes for nearly all of egypt
-There was raw chicken on numerous occasions.
-the fresh up room we could use was without towels and very dirty. A shameful end to our stay

The goodies:
-doctor on site
-sand beach on hotel site and fresh water swimming pool.
-a lot of on site extra facilities (spa)
-adults only
-shop keepers downstairs from the lobby are great, funny and full of good advice.

Tips:
- good free wifi at the shisha bar.
- look for excursions from operator In case you don't feel comfortable. Local ones of you want to be lazy.
- at nearly all cultural spots you will not find the bad Russians.

We arrived on 11th July to a crazy Hurgarda airport, really disorgnised and hectic, but once you are finally out of there you can breath a sigh of relief.
We arrived at about 1030 at the Sunrise, the recepton staff seemed friendly enough initially but the same can't be said for the duration of our stay!
Our room was 401, the housekeeper we had was fantastic he worked so hard, the room was spotless and he always asked us if everything was ok and if we needed anything. The only fault with the room and indeed this also applies to the communial areas ie, restaurants, lobby areas ect... was the air conditioning. It was really poor, almost non existent at times and being that we went in July obviously the weather was extremely hot. We reported the air con numerous times only to be told a different story every time. We did get offered a different room however on checking it the air con was exactly the in that room so it was pointless us moving. The entertainment I would say was poor, I stayed at this hotel 2years ago and the staff have since been changed and I would say for the worst! The shows were boring and looked like they had been thrown together but it didn't make much difference to us as most nights because the alcohol is so poor we went to the Retro bar which is just a short walk away - highly recommend they do fabulous cocktails and ice cold heineken oh and the free wifi is great there too (The hotels is very poor and extremly slow)
The logoon is beautiful, its kept very clean and there are always plenty of beds, the beds that are at the edge of the lagoon are amazing especially with the weather in July and Aug it makes sunbathing alot more bearable.
The food I found absolutely fine, there was always something that I liked (Despite being quite fussy when I go abroad) after the first week it does get a bit repetitive but thats the same no matter where you go all inclusive. The omlettes of a morning were lovely and the beach bar serves freshly made burgers, and pizzas every afternoon which I would recommend.
I think the drinks around the beach bar should be self service as the queues get quite long and you can tell the bar staff get stressed out especially with the rude Russians who are obsessed with drinking and getting as drunk as they possiby can - vile, horrible people Ive got to say but thats nothig to do with the staff or the hotel. They also should open the bar earlier as most people are up from very early doors, and sunbathig in those temps, waiting until 10am is hard work just to get a cold drink.
Hurgarda itself I found quite unsafe! We didn't have it happen to us but other guests had reported being pick pocketed so thats put us off going out of a night although we did give in and ventured out after about 4 days - we started getting cabin fever! Nothing bad happened to us although we felt far from safe, plus non of the lights work so its pitch black which doesn;t help. The retro bar though is well worth going out for, its only about 5 mins away and the staff in there are lovely.
All in all we had a good holiday, the staff on the whole were ok, the reception staff I think are very rude and not freindly or helpful at all but the management try their best. If you are looking for a cheap get away I would recommend this hotel, if you are looking for anything more I would say to pay a bit more and go elsewhere - you get what you pay for at the end of the day. Id rate this a 3 star hotel and give it 6.5 out of 10

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the lagoon for best views

This was my 9th time to Egypt but 1st to this hotel and it tops the other places by miles.
I pre arranged a private taxi instead of using the Thomas cook transfer coach, I always use gotohurghada , Mohamed will sort your visa s out and then take you to your hotel whilst everyone else is still queuing for a visa! (top tip) , visa is now £19 and the private taxi is £2.50 each.

Welcome; on arrival we were asked to sit down and relax, check in was quick and we was in our room within mins, rooms 601 and 602, far end of hotel but rooms were good and clean with amazing views, the higher up you go the better the view .these rooms aren't refurbished yet but we had no problem, the only difference is a walk in shower to a shower in a bath, so no big deal.
our cleaner was great and created some fab towel art.

The setting is beautiful with a lovely pool and an incredible lagoon and plenty of sun beds, no need to be up early either. The beach is kept clean and the sand is smoothed out daily, clean towels from under the pool.

Alcohol was good, no cheap paint stripper, bar staff are brilliant with special mention to Mohamed abdoul round the pool bar.

Boat trip out, booked with sultan and gamil from the beach, cost was about 35 quid each for a day looking and swimming with dolphins on the Tropicana boat. What an amazing day out we had, loved every second of the trip. The captain knew exactly where the dolphins hang out and took us miles out to a little lagoon with only a couple of other boats about and a family of dolphins live there, 2 babies and about 5 others, what an experience to swim with them in their natural habitat.

Food, plenty of food, always a couple of potatoe options, rice, fresh pasta and about 4 sorts of meat , salad and lots of cakes, fresh pancakes and doughnut balls. My only tiny moan is as a vegetarian, after a few days of rice and salad or boiled veg that was it! BUT the top chef is always walking around asking for advice and I was being spoilt in the end by them cooking me a vegi meal. So I cant really moan can I. The upstairs restaurant does daily themes and on a sunday the English roast is to die for!

Thomas cook travellers seem to get a bit extra, we can book more than 1 night in the al a cart restaurant and keep the room till 2pm, we paid 32 euros for the room to be kept till 6pm, well worth it. We didn't see the Thomas cook rep at all but that was our choice.

The managers are constantly walking round asking for feedback and making sure you are all well, they have a cocktail night where all managers are there mingling and chatting to you. They want repeat travellers and I for one will defo be going back!

Lastly the entertainment gang! You made our holiday, Yoni, Omar, Solly, Gigi , Diana and Mido, thanks sooooo much for having a laugh with us and Solly your a star for looking after our girls on nights out. Mido made bingo a good laugh!! Plenty to do if you wanna join in. We miss you guys loads.

we made some great friends and had a good night out at the south beach bar which is about 100 mts away to the right of hotel, great live band and good cheap drink, there is a new ICE BAR which is next to the south beach bar, about £15 each incl a shot and a cocktail, we had a great time in there cooling down. Went to the retro bar as well, again nice place with cheap booze and food.

will defo be returning to this hotel and I cant recommend it enough, go and have a lovely holiday. please ask away with any questions

Room Tip: the higher up you are the better the view

Another fantastic stay. We've been here numerous times and never been disappointed. Adults
only is a bonus. All the staff are friendly. Everywhere is spotlessly clean from beach, all public areas, and our room was cleaned to an excellent standard by the very curtious cleaner Metwaly.
The food was first class, and the service in the restaurants superb, thanks to brothers Mostafa
and Sayed and also Abdeen and Mostaff Ammin and the boys from the pool bar Ohmar and M Abdou. The professional entertainment was good especially the acrobats and the animation team superb thanks to Mr Mizzo and his team especially Mido and Gigi and new members of team who
did just great. Our evening drinks service always excellent thaks to Mahmoud.

We had a fantastic holiday, as soon as we arrived we were thoroughly looked after and this continued throughout our stay - the staff could not have done anymore for us. Upon arrival we were greeted with a refreshing drink and asked to take a seat, taking the stress out of the checking in process - we just sat and were given our key and our bags were taken upstairs for us. We had a beautiful sea view room, looking out onto the private beach belonging to the hotel. I would recommend, as others have, to ask for a 'red flag' when collecting towels - the excursion sellers then respect your quiet space and don't bother you.

The restaurants were fantastic, there was always something that we ate on offer - we never went hungry. The staff were often around and checking that we had enough and checking that there was nothing else that we wanted. Thursday and Sunday nights are English themed nights in some of the restaurants, so they feel like home from home.

The room was always immaculately clean, water was always replenished first thing in the morning and if you displayed the do not disturb sign, the water would be left outside your room. The towels are amazing, so clever and resourceful for the different animals that can be made - it made my day to walk back into the room to see what had been made.

Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet holiday and just wanting to relax! Had such a fabulous holiday!!
