I feel compelled to write as i've read a few negative comments. Firstly, yes the food isnt great but for 3star what do you expect, i've been to 4 & 5 star in muslim countries previously and whilst this wasnt on a par with these I never expected it to be. However the management couldnt be trying any harder than they are to rectify this. You dont have to moan just make a suggestion and they are doing their utmost to keep the english guests happy. I cant comment on any suggestions from German or Russian as didnt really speak to that many. The rooms are clean and spacious, we had an issue with large ants on our 1st night, we were told they would fumigate room and move us, they fumigated and we decided to stay as the room itself was perfect, sea view, block 7 and close to pool. After fumigation we had the 1 or 2 little sods re-appear but nothing major and easily squished!!! A friend with a young fussy eater mentioned kids food and a kids club table appeared the next day with plain tomato pasta and chicken wings, sausages etc. Omlettes and fried eggs were made for anyone wanting them everyday, these are prepared on request. Personally the pancakes were enough for me. There were about 4 varieties of cereal and yoghurts every morning. I dont eat red meat so i struggled with meals but that said i do wherever I go for that very reason. There is a bbq of an evening in the terrace outside the main restaurant, you dont notice this unless you are told, this is really nice and freshly cooked. Myself and husband were both sick during the hol but i actually put this down to a bug being carried by the air con rather than food as we were ill 2 days apart and rarely eat the same. Location wise its certainly 5star as its stunning. Id be interested to see what the hotel was like in 18 months to see the improvement now Thomas Cook have an interest in it. Outside the hotel is a bit rough looking and you get a bit of hassle from shopkeepers but be firm. Pharmacy is about 5 min walk turning left out of hotel. You get told by staff not to go right as its unsafe. My advice, if you want 4 - 5 star food and luxury dip your hand in your pocket a bit further and pay for it, for a 3 star its good value for money.
