This was our fifth time to the spa and we love it.The staff are very friendly and they will try their upmost to help you with anything. The restaurants are really nice. Our faves are the steak house and the Asian for dinner and the cove and shimmers for lunch. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are really comfy. With tea and coffee making facillities and a fridge with sodas and water that is topped up every day.The pool area is really nice, but we prefer the beach which is private with a lovely view.We really couldn’t recommend it enough.Hoping to go back agin in December.

Room Tip: Try and get a room near the reception as you are central to everything. We stayed in room 6127 and it was perfect

We have been all inclusive before but paid a lot more so we weren't expecting anything as good as it was.
The accommodation and view from our room was really good. The staff and I mean all the staff were so happy to see you and be helpful. The food was very good and lots to choose from. While eating or sitting by the pool as soon as your drink was finished they would ask if you wanted another. The steak restaurant was my favourite but all the restaurants were good.
I'm pretty sure we will be back again.
Many thanks again to all the staff.
Steve Playford.

We have been on many all inclusive holidays, but can honestly say that this was the best we have ever experienced. The hotel is set on a large and perfectly maintained complex with three other hotels. The Makadi Spa is the newest of the hotels, and the premium offering. Guests at the Makadi Spa can visit and use the facilities at the other hotels on the complex, but the guests from the other hotels cannot enter or use the facilities at the Makadi Spa (including the private beach). This is a nice touch and adds to the exclusive feel. The hotel is beautiful, there is literally a fleet of staff that the keep the place spotless at all times. The staff are a real asset to this hotel, we felt so welcome and so well looked after the whole time. The food is out of this world. The buffet restaurant on its own was of great quality, but the availability of so many different restaurants for lunch and dinner meant that no two meals were the same. The menus in all the restaurants were varied and the food was always terrific. During our stay we visited the Iltalian, Chinese, Steak House and Seafood restaurant (many times, this one was so good and the view at lunch is bliss). We also attended the themed evening that is held once a week with live entertainment, which was terrific value for money. There was also a Spanish restaurant. As well as these restaurants at the Makadi Spa guests could also eat the the extensive list of restaurants at the other hotels, we did not as we are allergic to children! There are many bars in all the hotels and varied entertainment in the resort hotels in the evening. We often wandered through the hotels at night (they are all within a few minutes walk of each other) looking for bars to stop at. The drinks menu was extensive, although the spirits were rough and the wine is heavily watered down. There is a good cocktail menu though which were nice. There is always the option to purchase premium alcohol at any venue for a reasonable price. On that note,; you can spend as much or as little as you want at this resort. If you go all inclusive there are so many bars and restaurants to choose from included in the all inclusive, there is also always a chance to pay extra for either premium food or drink options. We paid for the theme night as we wanted to see the entertainment and we bought two bottles of prosecco during our one week stay. If you do decide to purchase extras they are billed to your room and paid on departure so no need for cash. We did tip our waiters and the bar staff at the end of an evening, but it was never because we felt we were obliged to tip, always because we wanted to. The hotel offers currency exchange from an ATM near reception. The standard room at this hotel is superb with a really luxurious fell. The rooms are serviced twice a day and kept to a pristine standard. I can express enough how impressed we were by this hotel. We are looking forward to our return. Its is definitely some where we will be returning to again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks including Christmas Day and were very much impressed by the quality of the hotel, the size of the rooms and the quality of the food. What made it even better for us as well as the "world" buffet restaurant which is very good on it's own you can also have water served service at all the restaurants in the Red sea hotels in Makadi Bay (ie Sunwings, the Palace and the Grand) PLUS the first class restaurants (Casa Romana Italian, Steak House and Sea Food restaurants) which also includes all your drinks drinks. The private beach area is also very good and the bar waiters really look after you and that's on the beach so you can only imagine how good they are in the restaurants. ITS A MUST visit if you have not been before

Room Tip: All rooms are good and there are plenty of quality lifts so it does not matter which floor
