Tuesday 22nd November was our shortest ever visit to SRM we were at the hotel for just one day, But it was great to return and see so many friends, spent all day at the VIP pool and a great evening in the Italian, Can't wait to return in March for a full weeks holiday.

Really enjoyed our stay -11 nights returned on 22nd November. The hotel is nice and our room and attendant very good. The highlight is of course the 7 A la Carte restaurants. Our personal favourite was the Asian which we visited 4 times and every time the food and service was first class. The Pergoal bar was good and special mention goes to Ahmed and Mahmood who were always friendly and literally had your drinks by the time you sat down. I would agree with another reviewer however in that the resort needs to make provision for the cold windy nights. all the entertainment was outside and perhaps a closed in area or patio heaters would have helped as most people found it too cold to sit out which led to the lobby bar being packed and no atmosphere as it didnt provide music/entertainment or even tv.
All in all though we truly enjoyed our break and totally erases all worries with the upset tummy as the al a cartes are all waiter service and very good

Room Tip: Ask for a central location .we were in block 15 opposite pool-most restaurants and pergola bar

Had an amazing time at srmb the staff are amazing they cant do enough for you resturants excellent khalid the waiter in asian was superb he couldnt do enough for you patrick or paddy was great fun room very nice saudy was great in lobby bar

We have just arrived back from our 4th visit to the sunrise royal makadi bay resort and it is evan better than it was before,there are now 7 al a carte resturants. steak house,egyptian mexican and a fish in additian to the asian,italian and mediteranian,which is perticulaly good, the manager Said and assistant Mostafa performing a first class service the Manager of the Italian Sayed is also very obliging nothing is too much trouble this applies to all the staff.
all the bars provided great sevice even when very busy especially the pergoda captain mohamad and the other two mohamads who worked for him.
The entire site was exreamly well cared for,the rooms were well looked after with the cleaning staff,
The pool staff kept the pools in good condition.
I am afraid we were too old to join in the games put on by the anmimation team but we enjoyed watching them Partick was a True professional.
We are looking forward to the next trip

Just got back after two weeks stayed 8th november until 22nd November This was our second visit after staying in June this year. We never usually return to a Hotel but due to the good value we did return.
On arrival staff recgonised us straight away and this adds to the good experience of your stay.
Bad points out of the way first the hoel is looking very tired especially the furniture and decour. The furniture around the poll bar/Pargola bar is falling apart and needs replacing.
Cold weahter has caught the hotel out with limited space and no atomsphere in the lobby bar and reception this leaves you shivering outside by the pergola bar. Even the staff were cold.
The stake House resturant was also outside and if you did not get to sit by a heater it was too cold to enjoy your meal.
They staff informed us that the area had been measured up and the area will have panels fitted to the frame in the next couple of weeks to enclose thea area , pherhaps they should consider this for the Pergola bar area.
They have also begun painting the parasols around the pool area .
Good points the staff and this is what makes this hotel.
Big big thank you to Mohammad Ali guest services, my wife has a severe nut allergy.He took the time to hand write a note to give at each resturant but also helped us arrange our bookings for the Al a carte resturants and then e mailed them to explain. This really helped us relax and took a lot of stress and worry out of stay.
Also goes wtihout saying all the staff at the pergola bar but a big thank you to Ahmed and Islam always smiling and the service was great.
Patrick on the entertainment team was a great guy and even when the place was empty in the evening due to the cold attempted to keep everyone happy and entertained.
Mohamad theThomas Cook rep was also a great help and nothing was bother to him.
Sorry to go on but yes I agree the hotel has faults and looks tired but the staff will do anything to help, the resturants are very good and all in all it gives excellant value for money.
Thank you to all the chefs but Ahmed in the Mexican who is so proud of his resturant and came out each visit to check out everything and it was excellent.

fabulous hotel 2nd time this year, cannot fault anything about the hotel. staff, food, restaurants, pools, entertainment and clealiness fantastic.
all staf brilliant but few names to mention, Mostaffa Ali from Pergoda bar, Morsy and Mahmoud towel boys, Hossam recreation and Abo from steak house, and Nesma from Mexican. But all the staff are absolutely brilliant, cant wait to go back

We stayed at sunrise makadi bay between the 11th and 18th of November have have to say how fantastic the service was from start to finish.

Considering the large number of people booking in at the same time from the uk the service was efficient and hassle free.

We booked tables for every night at the various themed dining rooms which was well worth the effort. Great choice and service - much better than buffet service - treat the staff with respect and you get so much back.

The pizza chef by the main pool was amazing - the best pizza I have ever had. I asked for something he didn't have on the pizza - he told me to come back the next lunchtime and he would have it under the counter for me. He immediately recognised me in the queue and made be a larger and even crisper pizza of my choice. This was a fantastic example of the service across the resort.

The Mahaya trip pushed by Thomas cook is over priced but still enjoyed the day, however I booked a diving and snorkelling trip with the drive centre for far less.

We did the private car tour to luxor - great service, individual guide working to our timetable topped of by a private boat on the Nile before the 3 hour journey back to the hotel. Would have been at least 4 or 5 hours by coach.

There are a few issues with maintaince, nothing you wouldn't expect in such a large resort but the service is the key difference here - better service than a british 4 star.

Internet cafe is slow and expensive, get a red flag from the towel centre to reduce sales people approaching you but it won't stop it completely.

Overall fantastic and would go back!
