“A place to return”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

We're from Belgium and we stayed already 10 times in the Makadi Palace. Yes,we are customers of the very first year. The 11th and the 12th times is coming very soon. Meanwhile we've already booked for the month of April and also for the month of June. We enjoyed year after year, time after time. It always feels like coming home. The rooms are clean and there is a daily evening service to change the used beach towels. It doesn't matter whether you choose for the swimming pool or for the beach, drinks are brought up to your seat and you will be served by a very friendly staff. The gardens are beautiful and for those who like snorkeling there is a beautiful coral reef. You have a choise of 6 restaurants (something for everyone). There are buffet restaurants but there are also some à la carte restaurants with exellent service. Be friendly and they will do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. What more could you desire? Needless to say a tip is always welcome for everyone. Still a problem? Go to the reception and you will be helped. The name of Mr. Mohamed Fetouh (Assistant Front Office Manager) is definitely worth mentioning..A very friendly person and at the same time very helpful. As mentioned earlier, we can imagine no better holiday and therefore we look forward to our next stay to the Makadi Palace.

Returned from this lovely hotel on the 7th February 2014, after spending another week there. This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and our 8th with a Red Sea Holidays hotel. Our room was 3304 lovely room which was kept lovely and clean by our room boy who was excellent. You cannot fault the food and service which is available at this hotel, especially in the a la carte restaurants which are included in your all inclusive package. Our special thanks goes to Hamada restaurant manager in the Thai restaurant where we had two great meals, also the botanical gardens restaurant and the French restaurant in the Mall, it is worth paying for a few little extras on this menu here, food was very enjoyable in very nice surroundings. Our special thanks also to the management of this hotel for their very warm welcome, and their guest relations especially Anna and Marvin, who could not do enough for us, even organised a birthday cake for my birthday!
Will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to recommend.

apart from the room needing a bit of TLC .....everything was lovely ....we did not use the restaurants because we prefer buffet .....i think there was more choice for germans/russians think they could make more effort for the english but not making a great complaint just an opinion ....gardens absolutely beautiful ....staff couldnt be nicer ....all in all it was a great week

Room Tip: 3rd floor big balcony overlooking the gardens / pool

Our second experience of the beautiful relaxing makadi palace. The grounds and pool areas are well kept and oases of calm with attentive friendly drink service in all areas. Our room was spacious, well appointed and kept spotless, the bath/shower was a little shabby and probably due some renovation. The resort seemed very quiet (probably a third occupied) however this allowed us to take full advantage of the excellent restaurants. our favourites were Botanical and Tarboush, however service at all was attentive and friendly. The option of extra charge items is nice and we booked the wine dinner at Botanical which was delicious The beach guys were all great and the drinks served frequently were very welcome. The massage guys and beauty salon touts were friendly and not too overbearing so you did not feel over pressured. The evening entertainment is to all tastes and although the Piano bar was very quiet the guys in there are very welcoming and entertaining. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

Just returned from a very hot -28 degrees!- holiday here. Whilst I wouldn't say this was 5 star, we had a very nice lazy two weeks. Once I got my bearings around the complex, its built more or less in a circle, I felt more at home. The guest relation team, Anna and Marvin, were absolutely brilliant, especially Marvin, who had only started work there the previous week!
The rooms are a little dated, but you only sleep in them, and as long as it is kept clean - it was! - it had everything you would need, fridge, TV etc., as they are junior suites they were spacious, and lots of space for all your belongings to find a home.
The food was wonderful, 6 or more restaurants, do visit The Botanical Gardens, the meals and the service there are second to none.
The sea is only 5 mins walk through wonderful grounds, the massage and beauty guys come round and ask if you need them, but we found a polite No thanks, was enough to stop them being a pest.
It would have been nicer if more English guests were there, but it was the quiet season, and the Germans seemed to be making the most of this!!
Overall, a good value, relaxing, sunshine guaranteed holiday, but Management, please cheer up the reception area, very dark and gloomy at night time!!

Room Tip: Top floors, there are 3 floors, better views.
