Had a great trip here on my own was made to feel welcome. A few £1 tips went a long way. Food good in hotel pool was ok but was rather cold but guess that was time of year best thing was the jetty and reef that was awesome. Was a long walk and even longer back as all up hill but shuttle bus run both ways if i wanted it. Can also recommend dive school that you find here in lobby and on beach no hard sell and was a great experience.

My wife and I stayed at the Azure Club....AGAIN!...from the 1st June to the 15th June 2014. (sorry this review is a bit late!)
The hotel may have changed ownership and undergone a minor name change, but the quality is still there. The biggest change we noticed was the supply of bottled water. Until this year we collected our own bottles from the lobby bar. Now however your room attendant leaves water in the room for you. Don't worry though because you always have an ample supply, he never left less than 6 and on one occasion he left 12! The food had improved and all the staff from previous years greeted us warmly when we arrived. Outside of the hotel our favorite port of call used to be The Three Crowns Pub next door for a steak etc. Sadly it was not as good this year and we only ate there once, the steak was undercooked and full of gristle, items were missing off the order and the portions were a lot smaller. On the plus side the owners have installed good air conditioning now so having a drink is a more pleasurable experience than in other years.
At the beach the wooden sunbeds have been replaced by a variety of plastic ones with sagging canvas inserts...BAD MOVE! The beach snack and drink bars and their staff are still excellent and couldn't be more helpful, as usual.
So to sum it all up....still highly recommended, you'll have a great holiday!....and only two downers, the Pub Grub and the beach sunbeds!

Room Tip: When you arrive ask for a pool view at reception. Garden view rooms mean overlooking building sites...

my husband and I stayed at the Tirana Club Azure in April for two weeks. We have been to Nabq Bay many times before and always stayed at a bigger posher hotel along the road. This time around we would stay in a different hotel because of the installation of a water park(which is fabulous but not for us). Tirana club azure was available and we had the use of facilities in the sister hotel over the road. Arrived at reception shattered from the journey but the lads behind the desk were great. we were taken to our room and were devastated to find our room was 3 floors up and no lift. On our first full day I had to go to our room after lunch and was exhausted by the time I climbed the stairs. The cleaner saw me and asked if I was ok. I laughed and said It was too hot and too high up. 5 minutes later a supervisor knocked on the door and asked if we'd like to change rooms. We ended up in a lovely ground floor room with a terrace, pool view and a 30 second walk to a sunbed. I'm 65 and my toy boy husband is 62. we were delighted and the holiday just got better and better. The lads were fab, Shaker Jimmy, Ahmed in the restaurant and everyone in the Animation Team couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Couldn't find fault with anyone. My husband doesn't eat a great deal on holiday but enjoyed 3 meals a day. Amazing!!.Came home after a fab holiday and booked straight away for another 2 weeks in September. Cant wait. Hope we get rom 704. thanks everyone and see you all soon.

Not going to lie when I first arrived at the hotel I thought I was going to have a horrible week, it was like a ghost town there was absolutely nobody around. But the animation team made a massive difference to my holiday!! Steph and Ryan made mine and my families week always over to say hello and have a chat.

You hear people moaning about the food but you're abroad!!! What do you expect?! they do the best they can and there is always something you can find to eat, there is always pizza or spaghetti made which was a favourite of mine! Also the snack bar helped when we got a bit peckish and the hot dogs were lovely!

The hotel started to fill up but it was a lot of Polish, but as the week went on more and more English started to arrive as the 6 weeks holidays started to kick into gear, and the receptionist and pool bar men were lovely, always having a laugh and great with the children! Also the waiters in the dining hall, one brought my 4 year old sister non-alcoholic cocktails every dinner time and she still goes on about them now! They're great with the kids.

And yes the pool could do with some paint but it's a massive pool and its one of the best I've seen there are also slides near the back of the hotel, the room was massive as we had a ground floor, pool view room in block 5, it had two rooms with two balconies and a massive bed in one room with two large sized single beds in the other, the air conditioning was amazing and worked well, but the fridge we first had wasn't working but the fixed it when we asked.

All in all this holiday was amazing to me and my family and it caters for everyone no matter the age or where you are from and I would return in a heart beat! The holiday is what you make it and the people there are so friendly, what more can you ask for.

Room Tip: Ground floor, pool view rooms are big and are easy to get to the pool and also rooms nearer the fron...

Stayed at this hotel as a group of 8 family members ranging from 15-50's. Had an absolute ball! Will definitely be looking visit again in the future. Rooms had everything in we needed and bottled water was placed in our room every day. Food is the same as every other all inclusive hotel, always something to choose from and they have an Italian and Chinese restaurant available to book into as well. Both of these were waiter served meals and were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always willing to go that extra mile to make your meal a good one. The bar and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful too and again were willing to go above and beyond to make our stay a fab one. We celebrated a birthday whilst staying here and when we asked they provided us with a birthday cake and all the staff sang and played the drums in the restaurant - it was brilliant! Animation team were excellent.. Big thank you's to Fabio, Adam, Steph, Valeriia and Ryan (And Kosta before he moved). They always found time to chat to everyone and provided a good variety of activities during the day and in the evening. Its the first time my daughter has ever joined in and she loved it all! We did use the beach too during our stay and there is a bar and a snack bar there which is part of the all inclusive package. Pool is lovely and the swim up bar is brill! Shaker and Assem who works the pool bar are fab and always make you laugh! In the main bar Jimmy was also lovely. He was always there with a refill before you had even emptied your glass :) Wifi is payable via a voucher per hour. This is something I think they could improve on as most places now offer free wifi and teenagers certainly use it daily! lol Yes there were a few ants, but you get these anywhere and yes the pool floor would benefit from a new lick of paint but it does not detract from the fact that this hotel is a brilliant overall place to stay and I would recommend to people of any age.

Room Tip: Always worth asking for a pool view room.

Firstly may I say, that if you want 7 * luxury, at a 4 * price do not come here. Some people were obviously wanting luxury all inclusive service on a 4 * budget. If you want that kind of luxury, you are going to have to pay for it at one of the bigger, more exclusive hotels. That doesn't mean that this is a bad hotel, just that its cheaper than a lot of others to travel here, so you should not expect to have all the services at the larger hotels . Having said that, this is the second year running, that we have stayed at this hotel, and being a family of 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 child, it has everything that we need in a hotel. Firstly the not so good things, which are not many. Now Thompsons are not using the hotel, we booked through On the beach. Any problems were sorted out immediately, through their customer services. Now it takes a little longer. When we arrived, we had booked 2 rooms, which we were given in block 2.We asked if we could move to a family room,( which is 2 bedrooms connected by a corridor where the bathroom is,). We were told that we could be moved in the morning as it was late when we arrived. The problem with the rooms in block 2 ,was that they were not connecting rooms, so our kids were in a room at one end of the block, and we were in one at the other end. My younger son was sick in the night, and because the rooms were not connected, we didn't know until the next morning. My husband went to reception the next day to sort out moving rooms, and they told him 4 times to come back later "no rooms", by quite frankly a receptionist called Ibrahim, who was very arrogant and rude .By 4 o clock, we were still being fobbed off, so I went to reception , to see if I could sort it out. I asked why the night before it was ok, but today no rooms . They kept asking why we wanted a family room , as though it was not common sense, that you want your kids in the same room !!!!!! I had to get the hotel to phone the rep, who wasn't much help ( guy called Mody). Then I asked to see the manager, called Mahmoud, who literally sorted the problem out in about 20 mins, although I did tell him that if my son had choked on his own vomit , the night before, it wouldn't look good for his hotel. They also wanted us to write on a piece of paper that we would have no further trouble for the hotel , i.e not sue them etc. Strange !!!!!
The only other drawback, but not really a problem, is that there is not much variation in the food, and the " kids corner ", only has 2 things in it. Food tends to be very repetitive, pasta bar, chicken with varying sauces, beef goulash, lots of vegetables and salad, great for vegetarians , but not those who love meat. Tends to be a bit bland too. Having said that, the food is always piping hot, and well cooked, so there were no worries about getting ill from it , and contrary to other reviews, the meat tended to be slightly overcooked, not red inside. So basically good hot food, just not a lot of choice, and bland.
Now the good bits. The staff are always friendly, especially Jimmy and Shaker, the fantastic bar staff, who have a laugh, and who have become friends. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff round the pool , and we witnessed Mahmoud at the pool, rescue several Egyptians who couldn't swim and almost drowned, , and you couldn't have wished for anyone to be quicker than he was. Fantastic guy. The staff around the pool all work very hard, and are always cleaning up the areas. They are always sweeping the floors, clearing cups and food cartons that some tourists just drop on the floor. The indoor areas are just the same aswell. I think some people mistake dusty desert and sand for being dirty, but they are constantly cleaning, and come on people ...There is desert, Sand all around !!!!
The animation staff are all fantastic too. With special thanks to the lovely Steff, and Ryan. They work really hard, day and night, even taking guests (like my older son ) to party nights on a night, then having a few hours sleep, after having a busy day, then getting up in the morning, and greeting guests with a cherry smile, and a chat. They provide various activities during the day, and they have boundless enthusiasm, and are a pleasure to be around. They are a credit to the hotel. Steff and Ryan...we love you guys XXXXX
We are a family that are easy to please on holiday , as long as the room is spotlessly clean , and the food is edible, (which it is ! ) and everything is safe in the hotel. This is somewhere that could maybe benefit from a bit of painting , especially the pool, but the rooms are comfortable, and ours was spotlessly clean. But very little needs doing, and it is a great place to holiday in Egypt for the price . You can pay more if you wish, but for the same sun and the same sea, and perhaps better food ....Why bother. Unless you're one of those people who like to spend your holiday nit-picking, or are a hotel snob, that needs 7*, save your money and come to this lovely friendly little hotel !!!!

Room Tip: Family room best for parents with children. All rooms around pool , so all rooms ok.
