Me and my Husband visited this Hotel at the end of Feb, and I can say it was one of the best holidays we have had. The Hotel was beautiful, large, light and airy with such attentive staff who always made you feel welcomed. Nothing was too much for them to make your stay as enjoyable as they could! The food was excellent with so much choice! And the staff cleaned continually night and day!
We are looking forward to returning back to this Hotel in November!

Came here just over 2 years ago with my boyfriend as a last minute holiday! We loved it would defo recommend this holiday to anyone and revisit it ourselves. When we read reviews there were mixed opinions which out my boyfriend off a bit but to be honest those people were either really unlucky or really picky.
Our room was better than the photos, was regularly cleaned and we never saw a single bug (which kept me happy) we were slightly disappointed at first as we were in a new end of the hotel away from the main pool but was actually quite nice of an afternoon.
Staff were amazing friendly and entrainment was hilarious. The activities available were brilliant e.g different sports, snorkelling, dancing etc.
Food was average, good selection. Make sure u try outside as they have a fresh BBQ cooking kebabs and lamb which was lovely. The queuing was annoying.
Fab cocktail lounge and fab shops at the hotel. Only a shirt walk to Soho Square which is worth a visit and on the hotels beach they have the sheesha tents which is a fab way to end your night.
We loved it!

Room Tip: Didn't use the spa. Rooms at the sides of the hotels are quieter and do have small pools. The main hotel is very high levels but do have lovely views

Well, after reading the reports my wife and i were a little worried after booking a couple of weeks away at the Savita resort. we booked 6 weeks prior to our departure from lovely cardiff airport on the 2nd april 2012. we laft at 9 pm and arrived at sharm at 4pm their time, easy.
we were then led to our transport to the savita, on the way we dropped off a couple of other people at what seemed to be very exclusive and beautiful lookinf hotels.
we thought oh god here we go, last to be dropped off at most proberbly a dump of a hotel.
Well let me tell you, when we arrived at the hotel we were greeted like a king and queen, lovely cold drink and introductions to staff. The hotel looked fantastic, clean, colourfull and very well presented, even the run up to the hotel through the grounds was well kept with flowers running all the way along the centre of the road. the booking in took no time at all and soon we were on our way to our room. when we got there we were amazed, the room was massive with a hugh bed, air con, balcony, fridge, safe, patio chairs, it was lovely. the bathroom was in need of a little attention but no way a mar on the room.(only if you wanted it to be.) we were very happy indeed. the view overlooking the pool and the sea was fantastic. after a frantic unpacking of bags we then went to find our bearings. the staff were all friendly smiling and very courteous.
the bar in the centre of the hotel was lovely although plagued by mosquito at night. eh your in egypt. the restaurant was busy to say the least, but when you get used to the russian cattle market attitude and the pushing in you will find that the food on offer was varied to say the least, it was catering for all tastes and nationalities, so many differant breads, cakes, fresh pizza's pasta dishes, beef and chicken every night in differant forms, always a fish dish or two. and so much fresh salad it was amazing. but do you know what sticks in my head is the amazing service the staff all provided. can you imagine having to smile every day at some miserable arrogant person who is ungratefull or over expectanty of your service...anyway, thank you all at the restaurants for your valued service. by the way, make sure if you want to get to the chinese and italian restaurants, you have to do these. you have to book 24hrs in advance for each one, in reception opposite the front desk. if your there for a fortnight then you can if you want to go twice to each, any problems ask to see the fantastic managerial staff of the food and beverage dept. shawky, saad, ahab,to name but a few were great. thanks again. now, the shops in the little mall they have, or the gauntlet as i called it are an insight into what is on offer at the nearby soho sqaure and naama bay and also, a quieter nabq bay... if you dont want hassle too much then nabq is the place, 4 quid in a cab. dont forget you haggle for everything there. any way, these shops are not there to rip you off, they are there to sell to you without hassle, look at your liesure, they will ask you to buy but its up to you, just be polite, after all they are only working for a living. talking of earning a living the waiters/barstaff there get 1200 egyption £ per month. for us thats 120 quid....so a tip doesnt go amiss if you get great service, which im sure you will. the pool area is great, after all there is not a lot else in the local area to do execpt swim and snorkel and dive. due to last years events i was under orders not to swim in the sea, well i promised my mum that i wouldnt cos she paid for the holiday..but i must say i was tempted, the sea was bubbling with fish, beautifull. we seen all we wanted from a glass bottom boat for 15 a head for 2 hours. you can book at the hotel by way of the many salesmen who appoach you for massage, pedicure, boat rides, excursions etc. talking of which, the only other excursion we did encompassed all we wanted to do. quad biking in the desert followed by a drink in the beduin tent and then a camel ride for 30 minutes then lunch then quad bike back to bus to take us to a beach where all the activities are free. banana boat, canoes, pedalos and snorkelling.we paid 55 quid each with thomas cook rep who was great bye the way, you can get cheaper but why take a chance.peace of mind is essential on trips. the pool / towel staff are also great, and worth tipping, nodd nodd, wink wink. if you want a lovely spot with your towel laid out every morning without fail. thank you mu brother....saad, seriously i know ive gone on but i cannott praise the staff, food, service, room, the bars. all excellant.

ok.... downside, and this is for mohammed and the staff at the savita.
entertainment, very childish and amateur like, pay more to get more in show business.
not enough based around the english speaking holiday maker.that includes poolside.
When people book out at 12pm give them a temporary wrist band so they can have food and beverage. 6 more hours at the most wouldnt hurt would it.
we were told we couldnt have a drink without paying for it after 12. i did complain and was told management decision, well management,, change it. that nearly spoilt my holiday memories. the last impression should be as good as the first.
improve the qauntity and quality of selection of drinks available. on the subject, if you wish to close the bar at 11pm then at least open it again so people can pay for the drinks after time. i dont think we should have to but eh, i would have paid to have a quality jack daniels after 11pm..or do i have a problem ?lol.
Anyway folks, we thouroughly enjoyed the egypt experience and will definately go back to the savita another year but my choice enxt year and i want to catch a massive predator fish in cuba,,,, p.s i agree with previous writers, the small pretty fish are better looked at and swam with than caught on rod and line, i dont thinkl the people who were attacked by the sharks think that way anymore though eh....

Room Tip: e mail mohammed at the help deak and ask for a sea view.

I have just returned from this hotel after staying for 2 weeks. We were greeted by concierge staff who straight away took our cases off our hands. They also gave us a glass of juice while checking in which was much needed after being on a plane for 5 hours! We were given a room at the far end of the hotel with a Sea view which was great. The only issue with this was we were quite far from the pools, restaurant and reception. If you have mobility problems this hotel might not be the best as there are alot of stairs.
The sun loungers around the main pool and beach filled up very quickly in the mornings. The main pool is also where the hasslers are. Spa, Water sports and Massage staff are constantly trying to sell you something around the pool, which gets annoying. The 3 smaller pools are alot quieter and just as clean. the guy that looked after the pool we stayed at gave us fresh towels everyday which saved us walking down to the main pool.
the main restaurant was awful!! They made no effort to change any of the main meals and all the food was either under or over cooked! you could expect pasta, pizza (naan bread with tomato sauce), french fries and a different colour rice every lunch and dinner time. The restaurants that you have to book (chinese and italian) are just as bad, and you have to pay for drinks. the staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful.
The room was basic but cleaned everyday to a good standard and different towel art.
This hotel also had alot of Russians. This for us was a problem as they are arrogant, anti-social stuck up people. they have no idea how to queue and have no manners at all.
The entertainment was basic but they did have the occasional good show.
Naama Bay is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and opens at around 4PM. We wish we had known this earlier as they have a good pizza place and its very cheap, £2.50 each.
I would return to this hotel knowing good food is only 10 minutes away. It is overall good but i wouldnt say 5* at all.

One word describes the Savita - "disgrace!"
This is quite simply the worst establishment I and my family have ever stayed at on this planet.
Supposedly 'all inclusive' it was impossible to get into any of the restaurants to eat, as they were 'fully booked'. The staff were unhelpful, and had no understanding of my daughter's diabetic requirements.
When we refused to pay some hidden extras that had been added at the end of the holiday, we were physically spat at by a member of staff. Our luggage was confiscated, one case that contained my daughter's Insulin. This created a scene which was only brought to a halt when we threatened police action.
I could go on and on,this hotel simply should no longer be allowed to trade. It is not at all as described, and I would stress to people considering booking to steer well clear.

Room Tip: Choose somewhere else
