“February 2013”
Reviewed 17 February 2013

My partner and I have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel and we both agree that we could not fault anything about it. Our room was large , the food was excellent and the service was first rate. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We could go on and on for pages about how much we loved this hotel, but suffice it to say we try never to go to the same place twice for our holiday, but we are already looking to return. Finally just wanted to say a big thank you to Mike the manager and all his staff who work so hard to make sure that you have a great holiday.

Room Tip: The junior suites are a bit larger and have lovely views.

We spent the week celebrating Valentines day and our friends birthday at the Grand Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and although it was busy there always seemed to be someone ready to grab our orders for food or drinks. Fusion was the best ala carte menu restaurant. However preferred the Reef buffet for dinner. It had the best selection of food and always delicious. For breakfast we enjoyed the buffet in the main lobby. Definitely the best selection. The spa services were worth the money spent. I personally did not enjoy my pedicure and manicure, but loved the massages...ask for AMY! The rooms are spacious and all have a terrace, I slept great. There was a decent amount of hot water for showers.
The pools and setup was perfect. The view from the hotel was amazing as well, I think my favorite part of the hotel was the reef and snorkeling. The water was warm and tons to see. The entertainment at night was great. We met tons of new people who worked there and were just guests. We loved the whole experience. We'll be back!

A week at the Grand Hotel 9th - 16th February has been a super winter sun break and although the sky was a little cloudy it was still warmer than the UK last Summer. Rooms good and as with the whole hotel very clean. Bars and restaurants offer a good range of food, The non self service ones need to be booked so think a few nights ahead because the tables go quick. Great value for money. Top Tip is to tip early! the service staff are like your shadow.

Room Tip: Away from Main reception is away from the noise

Stayed here 9th -16th february, we have been to 12 hotels in Egypt over the past few years and found this one to be excellent value for money. We tried all the restaurants , favourite was the indian and italian but there were all very good. the staff everywhere were excellent and couldnt do enough for you. met the new manager Michael who was very helpful and does a fantastic job. the resort was spotless and the service was good for drinks etc. We would definately recommend this hotel 10 out of 10. Top holiday

Room Tip: try and upgrade to a superior room sea view.

My friend and I stayed for 1 week at the beginning of February and wished we'd booked for 2. We had a fabulous time made very special by the helpfulness, attentiveness, friendliness and professionalism of all the staff- right from the top ( big thanks, Mr. Michael , especially for teaching me Arabic ) to the bottom. Every single member of staff went the extra mile to ensure that we had as good an experience as possible. We were really impressed by the cleanliness of the whole resort and thoroughly enjoyed sampling the various restaurants, especially the Fusion and the Reef which is where we spent most nights, meeting like-minded guests. Can't praise the hotel enough and will be back next year - for 2 weeks !

Room Tip: Check where you'd like to stay; our room (450) was mid-way between the main pool area and the po...

What unbelievable value for money! My husband and I stayed here for a week and we can't wait to go back! The grounds are really beautiful and everything is very clean and well kept with loads of beautiful pools. We had a room with an amazing view, but the hotel is so lovely everywhere I can't see that there could be a bad view. We usually stay in villas so were a little dubious about going all inclusive, but at The Grand Hotel there was so much choice in restaurants we absolutely loved it! It doesn't have a canteen feeling about it at all. There are candles on the tables, you can sit on balconies, the beach or on a cliff top under the stars to eat. Your glass is continually topped up by the excellent staff. The fish at The Cliff is well worth the tiny extra amount you have to pay and it's quiet and very romantic and as lovely, if not more charming than The Cliff in Barbados! The reception and all the other staff are friendly and nothing is to much trouble. To top it all off, the snorkelling you can do from the hotel beach is absolutely wonderful!! I could go on and on. Anyone who gives bad reviews about this hotel has expectations that to be lived up to, would require them paying per night what they have paid for a week to stay here!

Overall this was an excellent hotel for the price. loved the layout. beware if you have problems with steps as there are loads. plenty of choice for dining. curry very good but limited on AI package you can pay extra for other dishes but very pricey also you have to pay for all of your drinks in this one. bit daft but that is how they work it. all the other restaurants you get free drinks.

fantastic pools but all empty as the water was a bit chilly in January. the sea was warm and daytime weather hot and sunny. got a good tan.

the staff all very nice and helpful. bar staff all remember you and your drinks. they all work very hard to please.

Room very large nice big bed. balcony overlooking the pool and good view of the sea.
Bathroom a bit tired and in need of a few repair.

plenty of sun beds. loved the 4 poster double sun beds.

Best of all they have their own coral reef. there are small piers which take you directly on to the reef. 120 feet deep. like a cliff face. FANTASTIC!! saw 1000s of fish including Giant Moray. Etc... Etc... Take a snorkel and mask you will love it.

Thank you for your review-it is appreciated. Its great to learn you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope you will return again in the future.

With regards to the comments regarding All Inclusive and pricey extras, we would like to clarify the situation regarding all inclusive- Firstly, the Indian Restaurant, although situated within the hotel grounds is not owned by the hotel, hence the reason why drinks are not included. We have negotiated several set menus there which are included within the AI programme and as you say, extras are available if required, but the cost is far from excessive. Our other A La Carte Restaurants offer several excellent choices included in the AI programme but extras are available if required and drinks are included too, so all in all, I honestly believe our AI programme is excellent value for money and many guests return to us for this reason.

Sincere regards and best wishes from us all at The Grand Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh.
