Just arrived back from a weeks holiday that really wasn't good.
Please think twice b4 booking this place.
The food was terrible,there was plenty of choice however but never hot, very bland.
My pal was ill, he was afraid to eat..............some relaxing holiday
9 times out of 10 the beer was warm......its given to you in a glass that you would give to a 5 year old, not even near half a pint.
The room was very basic,electric sockets were loose,bathroom was dusty, mirror looked as if it had never seen a duster.
The towels which were made into an animal on the bed when 'unwrapped' were damp and dirty.
Complain l hear you say..............waste of time.
Best thing about the place was the pools & grounds but you still need to watch your step around the pools....there are square metal plates which are there to cover something but my mate stood on one & it wasn't screwed in to the floor.The poolside toilets were smelly and needed a good clean.
If you do go then take atrip to Soho square....plenty of restaurants but wear trousers as u cant wear shorts inside.......Theres a pub called the Queen Vic......best pint all week..ice cold, in fact it was the best meal we had all week too ...fish & chips in a basket....it really was good....Some nice shops for the woman..especially if they like handbags & jewellery
WELL, TO SUM UP,........GO ELSEWHERE, YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED....Oh, there were also another annoyance.......its Russians,.....ignorant & rude even when we spoke and said good morning or afternoon they would walk straight past without a glance.....We went to the cliff restaurant for lunch once & there was a group of Russians who decided to play their own music extra loud.......we had to move, another couple complained to the waiting staff who just shrugged their shoulders.....However one lady went up & challenged them.......they did leave but they were already finished and just laughed.......Why are they allowed to get away with it ?
We will not be returning to this place.......if u do go enjoy your upset stomach........at least your running will improve............to the toilet.

Room Tip: Depends what you want...near the reception if u dont like walking to far ......alot of steps to the...

It is always useful to have constructive feedback and rest assured, we take the appropriate action as required. There are times when we cannot totally agree with reviewers, however rather than discuss these in the public domain, we contact the guest personally.
I feel it is also important to point out that the Hotel operates under international hygiene standards with random Monthly audits and inspections carried out by Cristal an internationally certified external health and hygiene company .
In May 2014 we received a certificate of achievement from Cristal for maintaining the high Hygiene standards required by this company.

Just got back after a week at the grand , beautiful hotel, staff couldn't do enough for us , rooms were clean air con was a godsend as it was 45 degrees most days, there were about six swimming pools on the complex all beautiful and well maintained . The only thing in my opinion was the food in the main restaraunt was a bit repetitive but the sweet and deserts made up for it .The pool bars should also be mentioned as the staff were really friendly and the snacks were great , would definitely go back to the Gand

This was our second visit to the Grand Hotel and it certainly did not disappoint!

We requested the same room for our stay as last year due to the proximity to our favourite pools and due to how quiet it was. The amazing Leny Kamal handled our special request and even had towel art on the bed made for our arrival, and a plate of cakes waiting!

We stayed at the main pool every day except one and Aiman always made sure we had a drink in our hands, always made sure we were topped up on sunscreen and even went as far as giving the British couple we met cream to soothe their sunburn – what a star!

Food has improved since last year and every sunbed cushion and parasol had been replaced with new ones.

It's a shame to be back at home, but we have fond memories of another great holiday at the Grand Hotel.

Thank you so much Leny for always stopping to chat whenever you saw us and for also checking how our holiday was going.

I can't remember meeting Sha or Dee last year, but thank you also for checking how our stay was – and thank you Dee for your suggestion and the dab of Sudocream for my girlfriend's sore lips – it worked wonders!

Missing the hotel and the people already!

Just returned with my wife after 2 weeks at the Grand.Everything about the Grand is 5 star apart from the bedrooms that are a little tired but extremely clean.
On arrival late evening, we eventually found a room acceptable with a lovely outlook.
There is 6 al acarte restuarants offering first class cuisinne with a wide choice ranging from Mexican,Indian,Italian,Caribean and classical European.We preffered Fusion where the food was a cullinary delight.I am no expert but some of the negative comments about the food on trip adviser is beyond me.
The service from the waiters is delightful, in particular Ahmed in the Cliff and Mamoud [ not Mustapha ] in Fusion. The main Sharm buffet offered a good choice of fresh live cooking .
6 pools are surrounded by what can only be descibed as a botanical garden, very pleasing on the eye and nose..
The beach gives excellent access to great snorkeling and copious sun loungers well attended by the beach staff. Mohammed from Luxor ensured we were well hydrated all day.
All the staff we encountered from the gardeners to the head waiters were all 5 star trained which is a testament to the management in their pursuit of customer care.
I really must mention Dee who we spoke to on several occasions who was constantly accumulating feedback and diligently motivating the staff whilst ensuring guests were being treated correctly. She is a massive asset to Red Sea Hotels and another reason why we will be returning to the Grand in the near future.

lovely hotel, lovely grounds and if the food quality matched this then it would be an amazing venue. We stayed for 1 week and did have a great time. The pools and snorkelling were fantastic along with the staff. We just spent about an extra £300 of our budget as we went out in the evenings for dinner. Breakfast and lunch options were ok but to eat there 3 times in one day with the quality served would of been a little annoying.
Management please take note of your reviews as they all seem to say the same thing. As far as the hygiene of the food is concerned we were both extremely ill on our return to the UK.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view rooms. we just phoned the hotel the week before we arrived and requested.

We have just got back to England but we were very sad to leave this amazing hotel we would like to have a chance to say a very special THANKYOU to our reps Linda and Sha they were amazing and couldn't do enough for us we will definitely be coming back to see you all again! The staff were amazing and so friendly. The food was fantastic but just be careful on the stairs as they are very slippery lol
BEST HOLIDAY EVERY THANKS TO YOU ALL ESPECIALLY LINDA AND SHA! ♥ we would also like to say a massive Thankyou to all of the staff in the restaurant and the roof top bar they couldn't have made us feel more welcome ♥

Got back from a weeks stay at the Grand on July 5th! In a nutshell, the hotel grounds and pool are lovely, rooms a bit dated, snorkelling the best we've done in Egypt and have been 7 times now! Food a MASSIVE let down! The meat is offered to you reluctantly, they clearly don't want you to have it, as they give you the tiniest amount on your plate! Pathetic amount really! Me and my partner both had upset stomachs, I ended up spending £16 in the on site pharmacy and a lot of the guests that we spoke to had similar problems, upset stomachs and disappointed with the food! Panini corner was nice but again, hardly any meat on the paninis! Crepes and waffles were nice tho!

Al a carte restaurants have very limited choice that is included in the all inclusive, one, maybe two choices, you have to pay for your drinks in the Indian al a carte (Mumbai) and the food is awful in there!

The cleaners were few and far between, had to chase them on a couple of occasions for toilet rolls!

The best thing about this place was the pools, they were never crowded, you never had to reserve a sunbed even if you didn't go down until after midday.

All in all, probably the second worst hotel we've stayed in in Sharm, the best by far being the Club magic life and then the holiday village!
