Wow... what a great hotel. Two fantastic weeks here and would go back in an instant. Can honestly say its the best hotel ive stayed in. Staff were fantastic. Sha who worked in guest relations was amazing as we're others who work in this area. Anything you need is catered for, without any fuss. Food from restaurants was great. Mexican and fusion were outstanding. Buffet was good. Alcohol portions were good although Egyptian alcohol is not the best. Pool staff were a credit to the hotel. Friendly and always provided us with drinks and fun. Aiman on the bottom pool and relax pool staff outstanding. Rooms were great. Always cleaned well as was everywhere in the hotel. Entertainment was brill. Ping pong will keep you occupied for hours. Taxi guys were great. Shisha guy was great. The only let down was the animation team. Poor at chatting to guests and creating banter. During the games they were quite frankly boring. But they are no reflection on hotel in general. If you book any trips DO NOT book through red sea travel in the hotel. They charge a lot and just outside the hotel to the left is a place that is dirt cheap and negotiable.
In general.... All inclusive stay here is a must. Great place. 5*

On arrival we were shown to our room, the room was clean but in a dark position right next to a main walkway, we asked for another room, were shown an alternative room which was tatty, we took the decission to upgrade to a junior suit looking out over the sea, as a 4th returning guest i thought that was a little pricey especially as the hotel had only a 30% occupancy, were shown a suitable room at an extra charge of £234 per week.our luggage arrived and after a quick supper had a early night.
Next morning we went to breakfast at the reef restaurant and were quite shocked in the drop in standard of food since our visit 18 months ago, no bottled water available, fresh juice at an additional charge and vrty little fresh fruit. The reef restaurant no longer opens at lunchtime so you have a megga climb of steps to the main buffet.
Overall the standard of food is no where near as good as it has been on our previous visits and the food in the specialality restaurants is so inconsistant and below standard.
Whilst the hotel is generaly very clean the gardens are a little somewhat scruffy and could do with a lot of TLC
Our room was kept clean by the room boy and bedding and towels changed frequently.
The swimming pool areas were clean and of a good standard and we had excellant service from the pool towel guy and the guy who looked after the cleaning of the pool and bought us drinks on a regular basis
After my dissapointment we will not be returning to the grand which saddens me as we have had fabulous there on 3 previous ocassions

Dear Guest, first I will thanks to you , visit again our hotel . But , your last visit 18 month ago, here has one British General Manager , he off couse make you upgrade , with the raison , "you are British citizen." But the conditions, our hotel , not change . Still, fresh orange juice is extra , Reef closed for lunch , same buffet in Sharm restaurant, I don't understand , why you start to complain all,this time , maybe we not upgrade your room?

My husband, 15 year old daughter and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at this fabulous hotel. We arrived at the hotel at night and it was lit up with beautiful lanterns - it looked really special. We booked a junior suite with pool and sea view (the views were amazing),room 174 - it was modern, clean and spacious. Our room was cleaned every day by the lovely Ahmed who made a point of asking me if everything was ok and if there were any problems to let him know. There are around 8 fabulous pools with towels provided. There are lots of restaurants providing great food. The tuna salad at the Cliff Restaurant was particularly nice. We tried the Fusion and Olive restaurants which were very nicely decorated and the food superb. The gardens are tended every day and the lounge areas really nice and spacious. All the staff were really nice and friendly and we found them all very helpful. We spent our days at the relax pool where the waiters were particularly attentive, nothing was too much trouble. My daughter had a great time and didn't want to come home. Please don't pay too much attention to bad reviews this hotel is great - we are already talking about going back later this year.

Just back from the Grand Hotel had the most fabulous holiday! Food, pools, rooms all five star. We were also treated with five star customer service

Big thanks to Dee for helping us with our accommodation requirements as we had a disabled, elderly friend with us. She is one of the most helpfully guest relation workers we have ever met!

We will definitely be returning again soon!

This was our first visit to eygpt staying at the grand from 5th to 19th July and our daughter,partner and 2year old grandson Edward came out to join us in the middle, we can all gaurantee it to be fabulous from beginning to end
Beautiful gardens,many pools to choose from all kept very clean,snorkelling is a must so many pretty coloured fish
The room we had in block 20 was cleaned thorourly daily by mohomad who made us incredible
Towel decs and gave us clean towels everyday,it had tv free safe and shampoo,conitioner etc..
The bed was huge and was change 3 times a week
Well what can I say about the animation team they are brilliant and work really hard,daniel made
Us laugh lovely guy,chris was great asking for you to join in the water sports which we did the water polo great fun and verity whom my grandson adored,she would come find him for kids club
And paint his face,then the mini disco in the evening
The entertainment in the evening was also done by them which again was good and not the usual m Jackson or lion king but comedy and fire shows something different every night,you must go and see them
We ate at the fusion al a carte twice both times were very tasty,we ate mainly at the sharm restaurant as there was different food every night very delicious and the pastries are to die for
The staff are very attentive and always have a smile especially Marcus always asking if all was ok
Mm the crepe and sweets were gorgeous we had one a day with ice-cream and panini corner also tasty
Oh also we payed for tea and coffee in our room 10 eyptian pounds a week well worth it as reception ring you daily to replenish io
If you do have any problems at all which we didn't then go to linda or char as they will sort it immediately
It really is a fantastic hotel to stay for anyone, couples families etc...
And we are definitely all going back next year!

I have just returned from our 2nd visit to this hotel, the staff were friendly and welcoming especially (Sha) the Guest relation advisor. There are lots of bars and pools to choose from, we were made welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone from the manager to the cleaners made an effort to make us welcome. We would definately recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

I stayed in a different part of Sharm four years ago (Nabq Bay), and vowed never to return, however because of the Grand Hotel I am now a Sharm el Sheikh convert.
Having just returned from this hotel I can truly say I am impressed.

Rooms: Rooms are spacious and clean, with air-con and a TV. 5/5

Food: There is a huge variety of choice, with so many restaurants. However as a vegetarian I found myself more limited than my friend. 4/5 (Non-Veggie) 3/5 (Veggie)

Pools and Beach: There are many pools to choose from and all are clean and well maintained. There is no shore in front of this hotel, you reach the sea via a jetty. 5/5 (Pools) 4/5 (Beach)

Service: The staff at the Grand are fabulous. So friendly and helpful. Especially the Guest
Relations manager Sha. I mentioned it was my friends birthday during our stay just once, and on that day our room was filled with flowers and a birthday cake!! The team at the terrace bar are great if you fancy a bit of banter! 5/5

Overall, I found this hotel to be exactly what it advertised itself to be: A five-star establishment where you stay as a guest, but leave as a friend.
I would recommend to anyone, and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Email Sha or Dee before you travel and request a room to suit your needs. They are very obliging!
