This hotel is perfect if you are not expecting lots of luxury and frills. My friend and I have just returned from a weeks relaxing in the sun and all the staff made this a perfect break. What made this really exceptional was the wonderful staff who could not do enough for you always greeting with a smile, a good morning how are you, this was from every level of staff grade from gardeners, cleaners, waiters pool attendant to reception staff and manager Waseem who was always very attentive and charming.

Yes the décor has seen better days but it is scrupulously clean everywhere. Whilst we did not take part in any of the games with the animation team, they were always wandering around making people relax especially Connor and Alex.

My friend and I always found plenty to eat and a lot of variety too, please bear in mind that many Egyptians holiday here and therefore the food reflects this but there was always something to please all tastes and the salads were wonderful and hot food was always piping hot regardless of what time you ate.

It certainly represented value for money and it was made all the better by the weather knowing what it was doing in the UK.

If its luxury and faceless staff who can't be bothered don't book this hotel but if it is charm, friendliness and good old fashioned hospitality then book this hotel.

Try to avoid Ahmed in the on site shop as he pesters you for "present" I should have mentioned this at the time as I am sure the management would have resolved by talking to the shop owner.

Room Tip: Try to avoid any times that the Egypt schools are on holiday, whilst it didn't bother us it may be an issue with others. I would avoid rooms on ground level as they are quite public with people walking by and I would recommend none pool side rooms unless you are happy with noise at times.

Superb time at this hotel. Made better by the brilliant attention at the bar by the very attentive Mahmood Ali (pool bar) and Mohamed Ahmed (reception bar). All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. The only thing that let it down was the variety of food and the running out of beer at 22.30 hrs for the last 3 nights on the trot. Hence the 4★.

The staff were very polite and keen to help. The reception area and pool area are well kept. The rooms are also cleaned everyday but need modernisation especially the bathrooms. I believe its worth the money we spent and I will recommend it. The scented flowered trees around the hotel bring a special effect and add to the colour of the hotel.

Got to the sol Virginia and thought where have we came we thought we were the only couple in the place then we found out there was a trip on, the hotel is really nice with flower lined balconies, the rooms are not great bit tatty but other than that the hotel overall is ok, the pool is good with a jacuzzi built In to the rocks of the waterfall which was very nice, the staff could not have been nicer the pool boy was great, put our towels out every morning with flowers on the sun beds, and the pool bar staff Mahmoud was brilliant did every thing he could to help us, made our week and couldnot do enough for us. The only complaint was the way they run the hotel we payed for seven nights and didn't fly in to wed night at 9:30 but when we left they cut our bands off at 12:00 and said we could not have any more food or drink apart from diner we were not leaving till after 6 pm means we had 6 and a half days not seven,I have never known a hotel to do this, If you are all inclusive you normally have your band to you leave, food is ok but we went out a few nights to Nama bay and el Mercato which are both a short taxi drive away, the spa and the pharmacy in the hotel are a rip off so when the spa man comes round the pool say noooo, cost ma125 pound for 2 massages and I paid twenty pound for some rennie, ibuprofen and some ear drops should have cost me less than a tenner at home but I am no good at bartering, entertainment is ok considering there is only 2 of them, enjoyed the volleyball and water polo.
