We arrived at the Tiran Island Hotel on the 30th August for a 2 week all inclusive holiday.
First impression the hotel is immaculate and very big, it took us a while to be able to walk to our room without taking a wrong route somewhere!
Our room was clean, tidy, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and Tiran Island.
We were made some animals out of towels by our cleaner which we loved and took pictures of!
The bar never run out of lager, but quite alot of the time we were served out of turn, even when the staff blatently knew that we were there first!
Far too many russians who are so so rude, even the staff there hate them too!
Shops on site at hotel ridiculously expensive, if you go out the front gates of the hotel, turn right, keep walking and about 10 mins on the left hand side there is a supermarket and pharmacy cheap as chips, well worth the walk to save some pennies!
Also, do not buy papyrus at the hotel, it is way too expensive, go to Naama Bay, the hotel staff will tell you it is fake, but it is not, just know what to look for, if the paper is cris crossed its the real deal, if its just the one way, its fake! Naama bay i bought 2 pics for 220 EGP (22 GBP) the hotel, for 2 pics i was told 720 EGP (72 GBP) do the maths, its not rocket science!!
The shisha at the hotel is also poor, Naama Bay is the best!
The Lets Eat all inclusive restaurant food is beyond poor, the choice is so small, nothing for children and so so bland, the indian is also far too salty, takes away the taste of spices, but i recommend the Oasis Bar and Grill for its a la carte menu and bbq night, phenomenal food and well worth the money.
The beach is a short walk away and i thoroughly recommend snorkelling there, the fish and coral is absolutely amazing! So many pictures, invest in an underwater camera or pouch to put your camera in, you will not be disappointed!!
If your going by Thomas Cook, i recommend you go on Ras Mohammed and Arabian Nights excursion!
The hotel do not allow you to be delivered a McDonalds or KFC, you will have to eat it outside of the gates, this i found annoying as i wanted a McDonalds after midnight, when food at the hotel was no longer available!
Also, a part of the bathroom sink surrounding broke off and hit my girlfriends foot, we received a feeble apology like they really didnt care, i would have appreciated something from a senior member of staff but received nothing.
The swimming pool is fantastic!
All in all, it was a fantastic holiday, we met some amazing people (Donna and Danielle) but the food is well below standards, if you have a big appetite, i would go somewhere else as you will be disappointed!
