The rooms and staff at the Sonesta La Royale are great, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, you can have a bit if banter with the barman and they are all very friendly, my girlfriend had a birthday whilst we stayed there and they surprised her with flowers in the room and a birthday cake .... Like I said great staff they go that extra mile !!!

Le Royale is exceptional for the standard of accommodation. It is a noticeable step up in class from other areas of the Sonesta Beach Resort - which itself is well laid out, very clean and we'll maintained. Customer service is also first rate. Staff are fun and friendly and genuinely seem to want to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Le Royale is perfect for a lazy, slow paced holiday. Remember, it is set on the edge of the Sinai Peninsula - so it is hot most of the year. Narma Bay comes alive at night but wasn't to our liking and there's not a lot outside the resort hence "average" location for us. Others seemed to enjoy activities like the beach areas, snorkeling and diving but we were happy round the pool. The Bar and restaurants are good, not great, but plenty of selection, very clean food is chef prepared. If you're prone to mosquito bites takes some protection but don't be put off by that. This is one place we would definitely recommend and go back to.

Went there for 5 days only on 29/4/2013 me and and my hubby .. we just wanted a short vacation to relax! We really enjoyed our stay there staff were soo nice and helpful . Rooms were so clean and bathrooms as well.they have 3 pools I liked the one beside the bar because they warm it but be sure to wake up so early like at 7 to save a chair you wont find any if I woke up at 9 or 10 ...we took full bored so we can eaat breakfast, lunch and dinner therebbut the problem is you don't eat in this hotel you have to walk to its connection hotel its sonesta and its a 4 stars hotel and the food there isnt that especial I nean you can eat some of the food was yummy but the service and the cleanliness nop ...although there's one meal you can chise to get on the pool which I love and you can order beef burger or hotdog sandwish or tuna or chicken salad ....oh drink as much as you want its freeeee expect wine you can't !
Ok what I like most is nema bay is 6 hotels away you can walk from sonesta hotel to there from a walk way its not far and you save money so you dont pay taxi plus its a nice walk ...
Okay all in all we had lits of fun there hope you do too =]

My first holiday with my sister and I must say that it will be one to remember.
We were welcomed in a beautiful hotel by charming personnel. Stayed in a fabulous room, spacious and very clean. The food served in the restaurant was very fresh & tasty.
The personnel at the pool, bar, reception, cleaning, security were all very professional and always welcomed us with a smile.
We were sad to leave but will surely come back soon!

We have just spent a wonderful week at this hotel. We checked all the previous reviews and were happy to go ahead with the booking. I emailed the hotel before we arrived and Taha organised a car to collect us from the airport which was great. The car cost just £12.00 and the driver was waiting with a name board as soon as we stepped out of the airport. Taha was also happy to sort out any specific requirements before arrival. The check in was swift and we received a lovely welcome drink and cold towels, we were then taken to our room and our cases bought up for us also. The rooms are lovely, a great size with a lovely marble bathroom which has 2 sinks, bath and separate shower. Bathrobes were also hanging up ready to use and Elemis bathing products were supplied daily. The room itself is very functional and comfortable with a lovely big bed a great flat screen large tv which has some good channels for us Brits to watch. A couple of great wardrobes and an electronic safe which will fit a laptop if required. Sadly there was no ironing board or iron but they were available if you asked for them. Great news for the ladies......there is a hair dryer in the room which was suitable to use without problems although it has only one speed.
There are tea and coffee making facilities but no milk is supplied, we took a trip across the road the the supermarket and bought some milk and kept it in the mini bar/fridge. The only downside to the room was the mini bar has to be paid for which I would have though that being all inclusive it may have been free or at least some items free and the pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable as they were very fat and hurt our necks, we asked for some different pillows and they were bought directly to us. These pillows were better and we did mention this to one of the managers at the cocktail party and he was very optimistic that this would be looked at in the future.
Also there is no free wi-fi at all anywhere which was rather disappointing. We walked along the beach to some of the bars there and sat for a drink and they all offered free wi-fi whilst you are there so at least you can keep an eye on e-mails etc if you need to.
Everywhere was very clean and welcoming and our rooms were cleaned and bed linen, towels changed daily.
The pool areas and gardens were beautiful and kept very clean and tidy at all times. The pool attendant Mowamen was fantastic, he is very good at his job and was there every day to make sure everyone was looked after with sun beds and towels, he was very helpful and also always cheerful. The pool bar which is 24 hour service is also great, drinks were always flowing and the snacks at the bar were very nice. Labib who served us every day was brilliant and gave very good service, he was very polite and made some great cocktails.
The gondola restaurant was lovely inside and out, the food was great every day and always a great selection it was always hot and cooked perfectly, service of the drinks was sometimes slow which was a little disappointing. We didn't use the beach to sunbathe but did venture down for a paddle in the sea. Unfortunately the beach was not to our liking as it was far too crowded, there is a little private area for Le Royale guests but we still didn't feel that it was good enough to spend any time there. We went to the Sinai Casino next door which was nice inside and had plenty of slot machines and tables to play at. The weird thing was that you could only use Euros or American dollars in there to gamble with and you cannot change your egyptian pounds in there for them. We managed to change a small amount into dollars at reception in the hotel but it was in very short supply. We also walked along the path at the side of all the bars to Naama Bay and did some shopping which was great, you do get hassled all the time but a firm no will suffice. Do not get tempted to enter into conversations or agree to sign anything for anyone as these are tactics to get you into their shops and part with your cash. We ambled on very nicely and just said polite no's and we had no problems at all. You can get some great bargains at the shops but be prepared to haggle, only pay what you want to pay for something, don't think that you have to go higher as you will always find the same items in another shop and they will be willing to accept your price.
Just to conclude.....we had a great time at this hotel and you will not be disappointed at all, the staff are willing to help you enjoy your stay and bend over backwards to ensure this happens. We would have no hesitation to return in the future and would like to thank all the staff who made our week very enjoyable.
