I would highly recommend them to anyone going to egypt. I spoke to Ahmed from sharm day tours before I went to egypt. He was brilliant from the first moment we spoke to the time our excursion finished. We had a group of 18 people going to Cairo to visit the pyramids. He arranged everything so that we have a comfortable drive and no complaints. their customer service was to notch. they sent a rep to visit me at my hotel and explained everything. They was a "bit" pricey but atleast we had the comfort of knowing that everything was going perfect and the the rep,the guide and the service was perfect. Worth every penny. I would use them again if I went egypt. Thank you Ahmed for a wonderful day trip to Cairo.

“Splendid!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2013

We had an awesome day trip with Sharm Day Tours from Sharm el Sheikh to Cairo. Had a great tour guide who gave us so much information, an air conditioned bus, only 12 of us on the tour so very personal service. Everything ran smoothly and we got to see so much; Egyptian Museum, half hour motor cruise on the Nile, lunch in a riverside restaurant, visit to a papyrus factory, plenty of time at the pyramids/sphinx and much more! Well worth the money and so many great memories. Happy customers!!

“Avoid - Unprofessional and Irresponsible agency - The worst tour of my life.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2013

The bus was old and broke down, nobody gave us any information about what was happening.
We were stuck for 4 hours and just arrived in Cairo at 12:30h.
The guide was trying to sell DVDs and necklaces and gave incorrect information about Egyptian history and tickets prices.

We were picked up in a very old coach with no air conditioning and uncomfortable seating. The door in the coach was broken. The driver kept the window beside him open, even though it was very cold at night. We were not offered any water or soft drinks as the website states. After two hours of driving the coach broke down. The driver and his assistants did not provide any information about what was happening. After an hour, two minibuses stopped in front of the bus and the driver told us to get on one of them without any explanation. We then drove to a rest stop and were told to take everything from the bus. We thought we would be there for 20 minutes. But after 40 minutes with no update, we went to ask the assistants of the driver what was happening, but they told us to just wait. Then they vanished. When they came back later we asked them again what was happening; they said another bus would be coming from Hurghada and would take two hours. It actually took three hours. We arrived in Cairo at 12.30pm.
At the museum, we were met by our guide who asked us to give our cameras to a store room. He did not give us time to take a picture outside the museum. He said it wasn’t allowed to take pictures inside the museum, but he could sell us a DVD for 100LE. Inside the museum he had to rush because of the late arrival and skipped many important sections. Again he tried to sell us necklaces. He also said that Tutankhamun was assassinated by his wife, however this is not correct. He then asked us to leave the museum. We asked about the mummy room, he said that the entrance was 200LE per person and there was no point in seeing it as we could buy his DVD. We knew the price was 100LE from your website and insisted on going, so he gave us 15 minutes. I also wanted to see the Animal Mummy room but he did not give us time for that.
After arriving at Giza, our guide informed us that we would take camels and go for some photos. When we left the coach, he had the camels and the camel drivers already waiting for us. One of the other people in the group asked if it was included and he said no. We said we would prefer to go inside one of the pyramids. He said there was no point as there was nothing to see inside and we would have to go back to the entrance to buy a ticket. However, this is not correct as there is another ticket office beside the pyramid. We went off and did our own thing. Afterwards we went to the Sphinx and he said he would take us to the best view point. This place was actually far away.
We went in a restaurant with no Nile view and some of the food was Mexican and really spicy. In the end they took us to a perfume store and we said we weren't interested in buy anything we were left alone for 30 minutes.
After all, we sent an email complaining and asking for a 50% refund because we lost half the day and they replied that as a result they fired the guide and they would forward our email to the office. After 11 days with no answer we had to send another email and received the following answer:

As I forwarded your email to the accounting department they came back to me with not accepting to refund you money as per following :

We do not own all the buses we use for tours and the available ones to use in Hurghada was because of Petrol problem so we had to use that one that was broken and we found out later that it was broken because of diesel was mixed with water it so it wasn't our fault at all.

This sentences shows how irresponsible the agency is.

“the best tour company”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2013

We booked all our 4 tours from Sharm Day Tours. Abu Galoum, Diving, Quad Biking, and Cairo by bus. this was the best holiday i have had so far and thanks to Sharm day tours. each and every tour we had excellent guides. the one thing i say makes sharm day tours unique is the excellent communication between with the company ( Mr Ahmed). the only negative i would say was that during our tour to cairo, when we got to the bus it was almost full so we had to sit at different seats away from each other( we were 4). nevertheless it was a great trip when we got to cairo.

“cairo + sound and light show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2013

booked this trip at home in october with ahmed and he advised me to book my own flights , no problems there and e mails sent to confirm booking .In sharm text recieved to confirm pick up time private taxi to airport met at cairo by osuma (sam) who was our guide for the day , our owm mini bus 2 people one guide and a driver this came into its own at the museum, no translator pack round our necks we had one to one info with sam who is a wealth of knowledge could of spent a week there so much to take in . Lunch on the nile and then gizza , camels, horses and loads of street sellers everywhere but this doesn`t distract from the site of these great buildings would not have missed this and with sam still giving us all the info it was a wonderful day . We went to a local coffee shop to relax until sound and light show , yes it may be dated but this adds to the experience and the 45minute show condenses everything you have seen and heard during the day .
On arrival back at sharm airport again private taxi to our hotel ........... great service , friendly guide and great communication off ahmed (even phoned 5.00am when we left to make sure all ok) and £50 each cheaper than tour rep prices .
