I had a great week visiting the Xperience Sea Breeze along with a group of freedivers. It is a well run, large-ish hotel that was mainly serving English and Russian tourists when we were there in March 2013. It is built along a relatively narrow strip of shoreline which means that it goes back from the water a long way: it takes 10 minutes to walk from the restaurant & lobby area down to the beach via the accommodation blocks, it is quite steep in places but I didn't find this a problem. I saw one or two people with sticks or crutches who seemed to manage OK. Rooms are large and well appointed with balconies and air-con that works. Staff are extremely helpful and attentive. There were some initial efforts to sell us scuba dives & boat trips etc, but all very friendly and never crossed the line into pestering. By the end of the week I was on first name terms with a number of the staff, Samwil on the beach towel counter deserves a special mention! Freshly cooked food is available in numerous locations throughout the hotel including burgers on the beach and pizzas by the pool. In the main restaurant each night is themed along a different nationality - lots of choice and all quite tasty. The all-inclusive deal means that a cold beer is never more than an arm's reach away, really good for chilling out and not having to worry about the money. The evening entertainment leaves something to be desired (there's only so many times you can watch holiday reps do the birdie song with a bunch of toddlers) but to be honest that's not why most people are there. Some good snorkelling along the coral reef just off the hotel jetty with an amazing variety of fish, although for those wanting deeper water please note that there is a lot of motorboat traffic which runs needlessly close to the shore. Swimming outside of and area of approximately 20m x 20m which is marked off by buoys can be quite dangerous and is discouraged by staff. Day trip by boat to Tiran island is recommended, amazing coral reefs, great for diving and snorkelling. Sharm town is a bit of a dump but worth visiting for an hour or two perhaps to look round the tourist shops. Taxi is approx 10 Egyptian pounds return. All in all, the hotel complex is a very smoothly run operation with a focus on comfort and enjoyment for the guests. I would go again!
