We booked this as a last minute holiday and booked through the hotel, so we wasn't too sure what to expect. Lovely hotel. We had a room with a small pool just outside so we used that every day which was lovely.
The buffet restaurant was small, but didn't seem to get too busy, didn't have to wait in queues for anything. The food was lovely, fresh show cooking every night and every morning. Wide range of salads and puddings too. You wouldn't go hungry here. The food might not suit every one, but we found it good. The service in her was great. The drinks came out quick and were refilled regularly.
We paid to go to the Indian restaurant twice. The food was amazing. We were disappointed we didn't try it earlier on in the holiday so we could go more, the price was good too.
The hotel is sat on a slope so it's a walk down to the beach area and walk back up to the lobby is a bit tiring in the heat.
Shame you can't really walk out into the sea and have to use the jetty and make use of the natural beach.
Lovely hotel overall.

Reviewed 22 June 2014

We have just returned back from a week at Xperience Sea Breeze.

The experiences we received from the hotel have been itemised by other users, so we felt it was only fair to Xperience that we do the same.

We are reasonably well travelled, having stayed in many European Resorts, Turkey and further afield staying in Sri Lanka and several times in the Caribbean. This was our first trip to Egypt, and we were apprehensive as half the people you talk to about Egypt love it, whilst the other half dislike it. We booked this holiday following the reviews on Trip Advisor and our decision was lead by it being ranked as highly as it is and that the hotel is strictly Adults only - again another first for us as we've never stayed in an adults only before.

The positives:
The service is phenomenal! The best that we have ever received at any hotel previously. The welcome drink in a morning around the swimming pool of cool juice, quickly followed by water, then a bagel, then fruit kebabs, and finally a cold wet towel given to every guest who is sun bathing around the main pool. Regardless on wether or not you decide to tip, this is the service you get everyday. Similar service is provided in the afternoon, although the bagels were swapped with a small bowl of ice cream - perfect after a day sun bathing.

We choose to tip, although our tipping primarily was given on exceptional service, rather than for the sake of it. We received excellent service in the main restaurant, by Aref at the main pool (nearest hotel lobby with slide), in the main restaurant, and to Mina who took care of our room and made an excellent job. The bar staff throughout our week would remember our drinks from the previous evening, even though they were working in a different bar.

Our room was 1128. We overlooked the small second pool which had a bar tender, and we could also see a partial sea view. We had not booked for, or paid for an upgraded room, we had booked for a 'promo' room, so we were very pleased with the quality and standard of the room. We had morning sun on our balcony, which suited us.

As the hotel is predominately British guests, and is reasonably small, we were amazed at how friendly all the guests appeared to be. Prior to our holiday, we had the assumption that the hotel would be middle aged to older age guests, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the huge range of guests, from young couples in their early twenties to senior citizens. We spoke with several couples throughout our week, and it appeared to be a hotel where natural friendships were created.
For people that struggle to walk or would struggle to walk up-hill, then you should consider if this the best hotel for you, or if the beach area is not important to you, ask the hotel if you could be placed in block 10 or block 11.

Other items:
The food in the main restaurant wasn't the best that we've tasted, but was certainly edible . We ate out at the Masala restaurant one evening which was near to the hotel. The Indian food offered was excellent, and you get 25% off the bill and free drinks. It's a bit strange that for an all inclusive hotel, you have to pay for the speciality restaurants, but for us, we wanted a change and the cost was just £24.00 for the two of us, for a 3 course meal. In the UK that would have Ben the same price for a take-away. We decided to not eat at Elements Restaurant, but people we spoke to commented the food was excellent, and again paid similar to what we had for a 3 course meal.

The reserving of sun beds is annoying, and in our opinion the hotel should stop this practice from happening. At the start of our holiday, to get a bed by the small pool next to our block, you'd have needed to be up at 5.00am to reserve your bed. We are not into that game, as we go on holiday to relax, and not set an alarm clock. We did go to that pool once, but didn't enjoy it, as we felt it was too click lay, with around 20 sun beds. We did the beach once, with a welcoming breeze, but for the most part of our hotel stay, we remained at the pool with the slide.

It was very safe to walk out of the hotel, with local shops across the road including a small supermarket type shop and several other shops. We also visited Naama Bay and Soho Square. We arranged our own transport and paid 40 Egyptian pounds each was (less than £4.00) but be prepared to negotiate the price before you get into a taxi!

So, to summarise, this was a great hotel, which gave excellent service from the point of arrival, through to departure (although our bands were removed at 12.00noon, we still received all inclusive service up to the point of being picked up by the minibus). The hotel should stop the policy of reserving sun beds and the only other negative that we had was that there was no free wi-if internet at any part of the hotel, and this should be addressed too.

We will definitely visit Sharm again, and also stay at Xperience Sea Breeze.

Room Tip: 1128 near the main block, with a partial sea view and morning sun.

Booked this as our first holiday to Egypt, loved every minute of it.

All the staff were fantastic from the cleaner to the guys on the bar.

Food was good, a different theme every night plus a salad bar and a pasta bar for those not looking to try alternatives.

As this has recently changed from a family hotel to adults only they a few kinks to work out, esp around the entertainment. Left a lot to be desired, started late and lasted about 30 mins. After the first few night we skipped this and went ti a different bar.

The rooms were lovely and clean, fresh linen and towels every day. Two double beds and a seating area plus a balcony over looking a small pool area.

The AI drinks ended at midnight which is a down side and I think something left over from the family side of the hotel.

On checkout day we paid extra to keep our rooms till 6 pm only a small charge of £24. Once we checked out they cut our wrist bands but still let us use the restaurant and have some drinks.

Overall a fantastic time and a lovely holiday.

Would def recommend this hotel

Room Tip: we had a room in block 14 which is more or less in the middle.

We have been to sharm twice a year for the last 10 years staying at some of the top hotels on Trip Advisor. We chose the Sea Breeze because of the good reviews on Trip Advisor and they proved to be so right. The food was absolutely fab,the best we have ever had in Egypt and the staff were all excellent with a special mention to Sameh in the pool bar. We have never seen a more hard working and friendly person than him and he is truly a golden asset to the hotel, well done you!! Our room cleaner Mohammed was also fantastic making our room up on my husbands birthday and keeping it spotless the rest of the time. The free shuttle to Naama Bay was a great bonus and the hotel seems to try and cover everyone's needs. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will certainly be returning next year. Thanks for a great holiday guys!!

Room Tip: Stayed in room 1414 right in the middle of the hotel grounds so we had 50/50 access to all areas

Background: Couple in Mid Twenties travelling from BHX to SSH with Monarch. This wasn't part of a package deal and our transfers were with a local company Bright Sky.

Hotel Room: We had reserved a "SWIM UP" room and it was very disappointing. We were in room 1401 which did have a pool outside the room but wasn't directly outside it, we had to walk down a path and grass to get to it, so don't book SWIM UP rooms complete waste of money. The room itself needed a bit of TLC to repair some cracks and sealant. The room however was clean, hairdryer (was ok not great for thick hair) and had a mini bar which was chargeable (bit pointless in an AI resort)

Location: Hotel is on a hill - not great if in a wheelchair, mobility issues lots of steps!. However, there was a mini bus that drives up and down the hill which was a god send, full thanks to Anton for the service and remembering our names and room number every time!! We didn't leave the hotel complex apart from one trip (will mention later on)

Food: Breakfast - disappointing didn't really eat much stuck to pastries and bread. Didn't touch salad or fruit as you can never trust how they wash it. Lunch - We ate at the snack bars - if hungry order double, great pizzas! Ice cream and Drinks on tap! Dinner - different theme each night was OK but nothing to rave about. There are some chargeable restaurants but again whats the point if your AI. The roof top BBQ was great however was way too hot up for me! Knocked 1/2 off my rating due to the breakfasts.

Service: Abdullah in your bar always remembered our drinks and always looked for our favourite table! Everyone was polite and service was great.

Pools: 5 pools. 1 near the jetty and the others dotted around. The Aqua pool had a slide - no lifeguard on duty and the slide was slow, needs more faster water for us adults! Service round the pool was fabulous! You didn't have to leave your sunbed, fruit, bread, cold fannels, drinks all brought round! However, loads of sales people round the main pools which was annoying but a firm no sends them away. However, due to this I knocked of 1/2 rating as it was annoying after a while.

Trips: We went on a speed boat over to the island. The island was great. It was easy to get on an off the boat in case your worried this. But getting back on to the jetty was an interesting experience to say the least. We booked with Stella Di Mare Watersports for £20 each for 2 hours. We saw dolphins and the Russian Ship Rec

SSH Airport - A complete joke its a shame you have to use this airport as it doesn't do the resort justice. No announcement system - some guy just stands up and shouts out the flights - very weird. It was expensive, not very clean and very hot and you go through customs twice.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the ground floor if not having a sea view as you will be close to pools and have a...

We stayed at this hotel from the 12th-20th June as our first trip to Sharm together, so here is our review as first timers (also first time at an All Inclusive Hotel):
Arrival: very short distance to airport (you don't really hear the planes though from the hotel strangely!) so this means a nice quick transfer from the airport to the hotel and back, on arrival at the hotel it is a very impressive building and the bag guys happily got our bags out of the bus for us and stood with them while we checked in, reception was busy but there were no ques and we were seen immediately. We emailed the hotel directly and asked for an upgrade before we got there. (We booked sea view and upgraded to deluxe room for £30 per night). You get greeted with a welcome cocktail and some information from the hotel and a map so you can find your feet easily. We were then taken to the hotel on site mini bus (tipped our bus driver straight away as this helped us get a quick service when we phoned reception for the mini bus to collect you to and from your room during your stay) and our bags put in for us, went to the room (block 18 Room 1812) and were shown to our room with the bag guys behind us so luggage available to us straight away. The room was lovely and very spacious, immaculately clean and air con on for us so beautifully cool. Very comfortable beds, best sleep I've had in ages, big TV with plenty of options with plenty of films, not that we watched it much at all. We were shown around the room and how to use everything and where everything was, safe was included which we thought was good as some places charge extra. Then we opened the curtains and saw the view (we arrived at night as many do so we were very excited on our first morning to open our curtains and when we did it was outstanding! the best view I have ever had!)
We met Sameh our cleaner (I think he does cleaning for whole block18)
He was great, we tipped him 100 Egyptian (about £8) on our first day and wow was everything perfect for our whole stay, nothing was ever too much trouble and room was always immaculate throughout our stay and we got towel art everyday!
The hotel is on a steep hill but all you have to do is dial 0 and ask for the hotel mini bus will greet you outside and take you wherever you want within the resort (Anton the bus driver is a legend!! Always so prompt and has a lovely smile every time you see him!) 'alwight geezer' he loves to try and do a London accent lol!
There are so many swimming pools to choose from but we went to the one below us with the swim up bar....AMAZING doesn't do this area of the hotel justice....I was greeted with a lovely smile from Mina (the towel and pool guy) I chose the sunbeds I wanted and he showed me over to them with towels in hand! Always tip these guys as they really go over and above for you (bringing you Ice cold towels, fruit and asking if you'd like the brolley up or down, etc)
We then met Sameh (Sam) from the pool bar, lovely guy and remembers your drinks and brings you ice cream floats when the heat is starting to get to you!
Please tip all the guys that work in 45 degrees to give you what you want without you having to ask and always with a lovely smile for you!!
THE REP MEETING (our rep SIYED, warned us about supposedly unsafe people wandering around the pool trying to sell you diving and trips as they are 'unsafe, dangerous and uninsured' so we booked our trips with him before we even got the the pool, long story short the trips we booked with the rep were unorganized, we booked the trip with some friends and ended up on different trips and neither of which were the ones we were promised, it was called a VIP cruise and it wasn't it was just a dive boat trip, NO BBQ or wifi as promised. Later on talking with the 'supposedly dodgy salespeople' around the pool we infact found out that they are insured and are endorsed by the hotel with regular checks on them, so these guys can be found to the left and the right of the bottom of the beach. The Anar Dive Club is exceptional, I am a beginner nervous diver and my hubby is a confident and experienced diver and they were able to cater for both of us and we did many dives and trips with them (Ras Mohammed full day diving and snorkeling trip was awesome!) Big shout out to Ali who is the most patient guy ever and to Siyed who helped Brad to get his advanced open water qualification (thanks so much for this, it made Brads holiday!) THEY ARE NOT UNSAFE and DO have all of their insurances!!!!
So please IGNORE YOUR REP when they say this, these guys really made our holiday to be honest! EVERYBODY WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH THE REPS TRIPS that we spoke to but everyone loved the trips that were booked with Adam the sales guy around the pool...there's no pressure from him and he always does a good deal for you.
Snorkling from the beach jetty was great so you don't need to go outside to see incredible fish and you can dive straight from the hotel without waiting for a bus to get to the dive site etc.
There is a beach BBQ that serves chicken and home made burgers with chips and salad (we pretty much eat here everyday for lunch)
A few people had tummy trouble but this isn't anything to do with the food it is just the heat! The food was great in Elements (one of the a la carte restaurants) we eat here 6 nights out of 8, yes you have to pay but we are not really in to buffet for our main dinner as we love our food too much lol, it worked out about 20£ a night for both of us and that was us having fillet steak and lobster etc, Ahmed is great at looking after you and Azeem was so funny, we did the jetty meal, this is so romantic!! Seafood was slightly over cooked BUT you can SWAP the menu with anything from the Elements menu so don't think you have to have the set menu as it's a very fish dominated menu and if you don't like fish you may not book...DO BOOK this, it was about £40 for 2 people with a bottle of bubbly included. It's currently on special offer. All Ice and salad washing vegetable water is mineral water all over the hotel so don't worry and always use the anti bacterial gel and your tummy should be fine. The Money is very dirty so always carry a little anti bac gel in your bag as this is the main reason for upset stomachs over there not the food!
Sorry for going on a bit but just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anyone or anything!
All the staff are great, Joseph in the bag shop is brilliant and great prices offered.....there is a jeweler and watch shop and Brad got a great copy Frank Muller watch from him, you can change money in reception but you can pay in English, US dollars, Euros and Egyptian pounds anyway but they do offer a great exchange rate £1 = 12 Egyptian pounds from the machine so take English with you and change it out there!
I think this review covers everything and if I've missed anyone I'm sorry.
We are going back in October so see you all then....CANT WAIT TO COME BACK !!!!!!

Firstly I will say, remember this is Egypt 5 star, not European 5 star. With that in mind you will not be disappointed - this hotel is excellent excusing a couple of things.

The hotel is approximately 10 minutes from Sharm airport.
Upon arrival we were greeted at reception with a welcome drink. We were offered an upgrade to a sea view room (we were told they were offering us a "special price"). We later found out from other guests that this "special price" varies significantly from guest to guest so be a little careful here! We declined this as we were happy not to upgrade. This proved to be a good decision as our allocated room was great.

The hotel is designed in a long strip. At the front of the hotel is the main reception containing the Tiran restaurant, L'Oriental, the shisha area and a couple of bars. There are also shops and a cash machine.
From this main area there are accommodation blocks running to the sea with a road either side for easy transfer to the beach (we didn't use this but I'm sure it could come in handy if you are less mobile). Between most blocks there are swimming pools. This is a lovely set up as you have one main pool near the top with a bar and then a large pool at the bottom where the animation team are and it is by the beach but there are then lots of smaller pools to enjoy if you like it quieter.

We were allocated room 1428 which was in the middle of the resort. This room suited us perfectly. It was the block above the health spa and gym and next to some smaller pools.
The room was large and very comfortable. There is a safe in the room, two large beds, two comfortable chairs and a table, a desk and chair and a balcony with two chairs and a table. There is also a hair dryer provided. There were also ample power sockets which is always handy.
The staff that clean the rooms are friendly and often leave towel art.

We did use the gym on several occasions to escape the heat for some time in the air conditioning. There are two treadmills, a bike and a cross trainer then several weight machines. Overall in good condition and worked well. We had to wait for a treadmill on a couple of occasions but overall no problems.

We did use the pool at the bottom near the sea once but it was a bit lively for us and large. Staff were friendly coming around with drinks regularly. There is a swim up bar here.
We did snorkel from the jetty once but the waves were quite bad on that day, still we did see plenty all the same.

Our favourite pool was the top pool by the Indian restaurant. This was fantastic with one exception - the reservation of sun loungers!!!! We are early risers and were going to breakfast as it opened and then going straight to the pool. Already there would be towels everywhere! Even if we popped by on the way to breakfast before 7am. We would still get a lounger but not where we wanted. After a few hours people would come and start using them. I appreciate that they were giving the staff money to put the towels out for them and were then coming down to use them late morning or sometimes even later. This was very frustrating especially when we were genuinely up early and sometimes only wanting to sit by the pool for a few hours before doing something else. Some of the most favourably situated loungers wouldn't be used in the entire time we were there! It does say that towels would be removed if left for over 2 hours however I never saw this enforced. We are very willing tippers but this practice is not tipping the staff it is bribing and management need to do something about it.
This aside the pool was wonderful. There is a water slide and a jacuzzi area. There are also shallower parts. The staff are relentless. Samwil looks after the loungers and was constantly cheerful and brought around cold wet cloths (be careful of him emptying cold water onto you!). The bar staff would come around with drinks, bagels, fruit sticks and ice cream. This was wonderful. They would not let you go thirsty! In particular my thanks go to Aref who was wonderful in looking after us and is relentless in looking after everyone all day.

The food was excellent. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice - eggs, beef bacon, sausages, breads, fruits, cereals, juice. Gomaa on the egg station was wonderful.
For lunch there were several options. We regularly sat by the pool where there was a choice of pizzas, salads, burgers etc. All very good. Alternatively there was Elements serving the same as the pool bar during the day or the main Tiran restaurant which always had a good choice of foods including hot food and lots of salads and usually jacket potatoes.
In the evening there was the main Tiran restaurant which served buffet food in addition to a grill or carvery. Each night was a different theme for example Italian, Mexican, British. There would be a menu up in the morning. Every day it was excellent food. We were also never without a drink - Mina Hana and Ahmed in particular were fantastic. There was always pasta, chips, rice and salad even if you didn't like the theme.

There are the a la carte restaurants also. You receive 25% off in these. For my birthday we went to the Indian restaurant - Masala. This was delicious. On our wedding anniversary we had the romantic meal on the jetty. This cost $95. It included a bottle of sparkling wine and 4 courses. It was lovely and the atmosphere was great. Thoroughly recommended.
We also ate at Elements on another evening. Ahmed the waiter was particularly excellent. We had starters and the chateaubriand for 2. The bill was under £20 and the food was excellent. It made a nice change from the main restaurant also.

We paid extra to have a late check out until 3pm. They cut our wrist bands off then but we could still go for food and drinks until we actually left.

We hired a wifi unit from Sinai Safari Adventures to avoid the ridiculous charges for wifi from the hotel (about £17 for 24 hours!) I have done a separate review for these. This cost £35 for 2 weeks and was excellent, it was delivered to the hotel for us. We also booked our trips through them.

We did our diving with Camel Dive who are renowned for being one of the best dive outfits around. This is not the first time I have used them but they didn't fail to deliver. Separate review for there also.

I can honestly say that Xperience Sea Breeze is one of the nicer resorts I have stayed at. Everything was exceptional other than the sun lounger situation! I would definitely consider staying there again.
