We stayed at the sultan gardens for 2 weeks over the Easter period.

On arrival we were handed a nice cold drink and taken to our room. Unfortunately we were not given the room I had requested so went straight back to reception. Here we spoke to the manager on duty who apologised and told us that we could have it in 5 days time. We went back to the original room and after 5 days changed.

We found the service from the restaurants ( main most of the time) pool bars, lifeguards, animation team, room service manager excellent, nothing was too much trouble and always willing to help.

Yes the rooms are a bit old fashioned and basic, we have stayed in many other 5 star hotels which are far more luxurious BUT the room was clean and spacious. We had a junior suite. Our bedroom was a really good size, bathroom was very small, basic but clean and a large lounge area where a bed was put for our 9 year old daughter. My only complaint was that there was only a TV in the lounge and not the bedroom, my husband likes to fall asleep watching TV - thank goodness for iPad.

We paid extra to upgrade to emir class, mainly for the 24 hr wifi. Unfortunately most the time this did not work in our room. My husband complained several times and 2 days before we were due to come home the IT man came to our room to try and sort it out. He confirmed that it did not work and gave us a router to have in the room and worked from that min on, just a shame he wasn't sent earlier on, but we did get some of the money back.

My only other complaint was Easter weekend. The hotel was full of Egyptian families who were very noisy, rude and felt they could sit and do whatever they fancied. The main buffet restaurant when they were there was a complete nightmare and we actually paid extra for 2 nights to eat in the fish market as we could not bare it. We ate some nights in the adults only because our 9 year old daughter would go for dinner with her friends and this was an absolute pleasure, civilised, clean, tidy, I just wish they would move the age for children to eat up there. My daughter is 9 knows how to behave, does not scream or run around and certainly does not put her hands in the food. I feel that maybe at such busy times some allowances should be made.

We also ate in the Indian, Italian and fish market, I have to say the quality of the food was exceptional. The service in the fish market was great and the other two restaurants was good but a little slow, but on the whole every meal we ate was good, good variety and always managed to find something we liked.

We booked a course of massages in the spa which were great. The pools were all lovely and there was loads of activities going on during the day if you wanted to do something. The shows at night were rather standard and nothing out of the ordinary and unfortunately only ran a 7 day programme. The kareoke night was well words cannot describe, firstly children were not allowed to sing???? And the man that ran it took it so seriously and commented if you sang the words wrong.....

Overall We had the most fantastic holiday, met loads of lovely people and the staff /service were fantastic. We are planning on returning next Easter. I just hope they think up something to sort out the shambles in the buffet restaurant over the Easter weekend or it will be room service for us........

This is my second visit to this hotel and all i can say that it was a wonderful visit , i was happy with visit really enjoyed it , everyone was great the reception , the staff , the restaurant , the animation team who did a great effort really and i would like to thank Moose , Bob from the animation team , and also Mohamed the waiter in the restaurant second floor .

it was a vacation i couldn't forget , we were upgraded to the sea view directly , the people were just great

A small tip : eat at the restaurant 2nd floor people are way more friendly up there and do care more , also pool bar people are way too friendly than the beach bar as i felt some of them was rude

It was our first trip to Sharm and my daughter and I came here to get our PADI diving qualification. I was really apprehensive because I couldnt believe there would be a decent house reef on a coast with so many hotels. But the reef was brilliant with such a variety of coral and so many beautiful fishes. We even saw rays and an octopus and enjoyed snorkelling as well as diving. The excellent Dive One school was on site and the reef really accessible so it couldn't have been better.
The staff make the hotel and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable from the person who cleaned and tidied our room, the restaurant staff and the animation team - they were all wonderful.

We have just returned after another week here , our 8th stay .
Always a very warm welcome from both staff and management , familiar faces all round .
Our usual block 800 room was waiting for us , spotless & comfortable as usual.
Food seems to get better all the time, minor changes to the many dishes , always fresh & appetizing . We both eat a variety of foods ( rice, salads, ice cream, pasta, meats, soups, burgers etc) & have never had any stomach issues . There are vast options available every day , no one can say there`s nothing to eat here . Also, if you require anything for dietary needs etc , just ask, it will be provided .

The staff really cannot do enough for you , waiters remember your drinks, beach staff/pool staff remember if you need shade, animation all stop by several times each day for a chat ,managers are always around - do speak to them too , they always help if you need anything.
Rooms are kept clean all week, lovely fluffy towels, changed daily , comfortable beds & excellent aircon . Tea/coffee & water refilled daily .

This is most definitely a hotel you can rely on , we`ll be back....soon.

Room Tip: 800 junior suites are a good location
