Great hotel. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Ample areas in which to sit. Always sunbeds available on private beach or round pool. Large safe area for swimming. Ideal Adult's Only Hotel.
Our only complaint was the VERY LOUD music coming from further round the bay. Our holiday co-incided with an Egyptian Festival / Holiday. I accept that, but surely the music didn't have to be so loud. It certainly puts us off going there at this time of year again!

Stayed there August 2013 - On entrance to the hotel it is beautiful. Then your cases are whisked away from you and you are then walked through other guests seated for their evenings entertainment, where you then become the entertainment because entertainment lets say is pretty poor. Rooms are very clean and spacious, we payed for an upgrade, the view was lovely but room was pretty basic for an upgrade, 2 beds pushed together for a couple was not really acceptable but manageable. Air con didn't work properly for the first two nights. We were staying at an all inclusive but were told the basket of crisps and chocolates in your room were at a charge???!!! you could drink the soft drinks from the fridge free of charge but the alcohol that would be charged to your room .. PLEASE NOTE¬!! Soft drinks mean fizzy drinks NOT Juice as we were charged on leaving for drinking 1 of these from the fridge - as we had to stay indoors for 2 days due to my husband being ill and myself breaking a tooth whilst eating at the beach bar!!! (which after an horrendous flight home due to the pain i suffered with my tooth it has now been removed at a COST)!!

The Palace is quiet and clean the gardens are immaculate and the staff work hard. The beach is lovely with plenty of sunbeds although there are neighboring beaches that pump out loud music throughout the day.

The 2 pools are small and clean but due to the amount of cats around the palace and often around the pool area and sunbeds i had to go to the beach daily due to my allergy to cats. The harassment from the the sellers at the hotel was a bit over bearing after a while - I understand that they still need to earn their money and that visits to Egypt were low during our stay, but the constant interruption from reps trying to convince you to buy their product or excursion whilst you are trying to relax was a tad annoying. Food is plentiful but repetitive the waiters are very helpful and keep the restaurant clean. The bar staff are also very helpful. The room maids are excellent the room was cleaned thoroughly every day.

On arriving at the airport for departure we were encouraged to tip the driver of the coach and then on getting off the coach we were greeted by 2 men pulling the cases off the coach then holding on to them until you tipped them! ( i understand that tipping is the done thing - but i found this totally unacceptable - this did not happen on arrival???) -

My husband was ill 3 days in and had to find a chemist where he was way over charged for medication but when you're ill you just want to get back into your room and sleep not barter. We were told he was probably ill due to the heat and the air con??? errrrm i don't think so.

The beach bar staff were all very friendly, Unfortunately this is where i broke my tooth completely in half, eating a burger :( this just spoiled the remainder of the holiday due to the constant pain and due to being on medication both myself and the husband could not drink alcohol for the remainder of the holiday. Another guest found a small stone in her food at the main restaurant, she informed me that a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine was sent up to her room for her inconvenience. Nice - i just got asked once or twice how my tooth was!

Entertainment is poor if you're looking to be entertained this is not the place for you. There are a couple of English singers and local singers that come on now and again, we had more fun down in the karaoke bar where guests had a good old sing song.

We were advised by other guests not to go on the excursions outside of the hotel due to the aggressive nature of some sellers in the markets??? We did however venture out across in the little market and shops across from the hotel and found the experience ok, no problems at all.

I read all the reviews and researched this holiday resort before flying out as i do with all our holidays and read "excellent" feedback for the Iberotel Palace - I feel i have been very honest and that sadly we just had a bad experience at the Iberotel Palace due to illness and my tooth incident. We have emailed the hotel regarding our issues whilst staying at the Palace and have been offered a room upgrade for the next time we return - unfortunately we will not be returning to the Iberotel Palace but wish all the other returning guests and new guests a wonderful holiday there.

Room Tip: Upstairs corner rooms are better - especially with sea view

Palace Perfect.
Have just returned from our fourth visit in two years to The Iberotel Palace. This was our twenty fifth holiday in wonderful Egypt in twelve years. We have travelled all over the world and through most of Egypt and cannot find anywhere better.
From the time you step into reception you are made to feel special. Everyone from the General Manager Mr. Redwan to the cleaners and gardeners are so eager for you to enjoy your time there.
Rooms are large and kept spotlessly clean, as is the pool area and beach. Ayman, and his team do a brilliant job. Mohamed and Mustafa and the rest of the guys are always on hand to help with towels and umbrellas.
The food in each of the restaurants is perfection, and we can say this from experience of other hotels in Egypt and Sharm el Sheikh. The breakfast buffet is extensive. We really recommend Chef Bassem’s, omelette’s made fresh whilst you wait to your own choice of fillings. Lunches can be taken in the Main restaurant, but do try the beach bar, Osama, and his team are always ready with a smile, and suggestions for lunch. Do try the Shawerma sandwich, with a bottle of Sakara beer, beats a ploughman’s any day.
Dinner buffets were themed, with something different to try each evening, and the desserts are to die for.
The Italian restaurant is also one of our favourites, with the best steaks and soups we have had since we were here in February. Your host’s are Alaa and Ahmed, they make dining here a wonderful experience, and Alaa has great sense of humour.
We know other reviewers knock the location, yes its not in the prettiest part of town, but once you are in the hotel does it really matter?
We note the comments from other reviewers regarding sun loungers, yes we are guilty of getting up early, a walk along the beach, and a cup of coffee by the pool before 7am, enjoying the early sun and the quietness. So we suppose we are “Bed baggers,” If some wish to stay in bed till mid morning, and then complain that all of the sun beds have gone, that’s their problem. One other negative comment made regularly concerns the early morning call to Prayer, just remember you are visiting a Muslim country, this is the culture and religion, if you feel this may cause you a problem, we suggest you try going somewhere else.
Ignore all the reports you see on television. The South Sinai, is safe. It is more than eight hours by road south of Cairo, and much more than that from Alexandria. The local security is obvious and always present, as are the hotels. We are looking forward to returning to The Iberotel Palace, in February 2014.

Stayed here in October with my wife the hotel and staff are superb the entertainment is pretty poor but youseff makes up for that he's nuts.went to the old market with Danielle and youseff and they show you round it and give you a few tips but to be honest your better off staying away as its filthy and every stall tries to rip you off.the beach was great the weather was great also. Aziz in the boat that takes you out to the coral reef is a lovely guy he's is supposed to take you out every hour but he will take you out when you want if he's not busy. This was our first time in Egypt and it won't be the last.ps you must stop the weirdos that get up at 6 and put there towels on the loungers then go back to bed and not a German in sight they were all English lol.

Sorry for the delay regarding review, my fiancé and I spent 11 nights at the iberotel palace and had the best holiday ever, the moment you arrive the staff make you feel so welcome, it was late in the evening when we checked in and the restaurant was kept open for us, after that they gave us our key and relevant information regarding the hotel, our bags were brought to our room for us. Our room was fantastic, clean spacious and nice bathroom, they also provided us with an iron for the duration of our stay.
All the staff are so accommodating to your needs and nothing is too much trouble for them. Mr Redwan must be very proud of his fantastic team including his cleaners who take so much pride in the way they keep the bedrooms clean, this hotel is one of the best I've stayed in and I always say I wouldn't go to the same place twice but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the iberotel palace.

I must say that there were two members of staff that made our holiday that much more special and they are Sherif for his attentive service whilst we were dining and such a polite member of staff, secondly I'd like to thank adel who worked at the pool bar and served drinks in the evening, he was always smiling and friendly and polite, these two made our holiday, Mr Redwan has got two extra special members of staff.
I'd also like to mention Danielle who does a fantastic job at the hotel and is one of the nicest girls I've met, she has got a big heart n made our stay fantastic, she looks after the cats at the hotel and does this with her own money so may I suggest that anybody who likes cats may think about taking a small box of dried cat food as I know she would appreciate it.
We would most definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who hasn't been there and is considering it, you will not be disappointed, there are too many members of staff to thank individually but each and everyone do such a good job and are a great team.
