Hi just come back from 11 nights at this hotel and would love to help you other travelers make up your own mind. Firstly we traveled as a familily with two children aged 3 and 6. The reason i wanted to go to Egypt was because I was under the impression the hotels would amaze me with the pools and the service offered by the staff. The good points about the hotel was the fact that you where 20 mns from airport. The hotel did not amaze me. It was nice dont get me wrong but I was expecting alot more from a Hilton in Egypt. The entertainment was shockingly poor with two ladys who thought they where gods gift waking around the hotel like they owned it, never once did they speak or say hi to us or my daughters and in one instance at the childrens disco, completly egnored and overtook my younger daughter as she struggled to climb a step in one of the dances( the one with the jet black hair). Overall we had a good holiday as a family but would not choose to stay at this hotel again, it just did not have the wow factor I was so looking forward to. The food I can agree on some of the comments but in fairness this is a big complex with many different nationalitys staying here. I lost half a stone on this holiday but thats because I was bad after the 2nd day which lasted two days, I think it was the fish I ate as i knew it was off and spat it out but it was the morning after this I started to feel ill I was very cold and never left the loo, I dont drink alcohol so it cant be to blame! My two children however where fine throughout the whole holiday so this is the reason Im not slating the food but I was very worried at the fact they may pick up what I had,the food can be the same old but thats all inclusive for you, you will always find something that appeals to you. The outdoor pool bars is shockingly dangerous with brocken and cracked marble stools again HILTON HOTELS REPLACE THEM WE PAY FOR STAYING AT YOUR NAME. THE HOTEL NEEDS A REFERB. As for location the beach is aboput a 8 min walk across a busy road which does not seem long but in 100 deegrees it feels like half an hour. Its really is a nice beach but not on the doorstep which I was under the impression it was. The centre is about a 10 min walk which again in the heat feels like forever, we got a taxi the first couple of times but didnt bother after that as I found 70% of the people so rude I didnt want to give them a single penny of my money. This bit I have to tell you. I love markets on holiday and went to many in tunisia last year, its all friendly banter. Not in Sharm its not! I dont know whether it was because the presure was on as tourism is down this year but they where trying to lock me in shops, drag me by my wrists if I didnt go they would swear at me and call me all the names under the sun! I am 6ft 2 and big built which is why it shocked me, this was mid afternoon as well!. Soho square is fine to go to and after speaking to a few guys they told me they hate the people who worked in the centre of sharm they told me a man from italy was stabbed there last year by locals so be warned dont go there your not missing anything in fact I found the whole of sharm to be Expensive for any kind of shopping. Dont let them lock you into the shops as they have pet snakes and use this to get your money. Anyway thats my review its honest and if anyone would like any more info please do ask. Would I stay in sharm again.... no I wouldnt but would consider other locations in Eygpt.
