“alot better than expected! Great hotel !”
Reviewed 15 July 2010

after reading the reviews both me an my boyfriend wasnt expecting much from the hotel, but we got a cheap deal and went with no high expectations! The hotel itself is lovely, it has an authentic egyptian style which really gives it character, and doesnt make it look like a 'cheap' hotel as some of the more 'modern' low cost hotels can feel ! the only thing that we could say wasnt that good was the all inclusive. For drinks this consisted of fanta, sprit, cola, spirits and local beer. If you want pinapple or apple juice in your vodka you have to pay! The all inclusive stops at 10pm so make sure you get as many drinks lined up as you can before then! The food was ok, abit repetative with pasta, rice, chicken and veg, not much options, but still nice ! There wasnt much entertainment in the hotel at night and none in the day, but there is music around the pool which does make the difference. the rooms are lovely too, though there are only a small amount that have balconys, many of them have wooden shutters instead, which nobody who had one of these rooms complained about!

Alot of the complaints i have read about the Amar Sina are small things that shouldnt really affect your holiday, if you and your partner or friends cant enjoy yourself without hotel entertainment, then maybe you should be together, or holiday together, me an my boyfriend had a great time! You cant pay rock bottom prices and expect to have the luxury of a 5* hotel, which is where alot of the complaints seem to have stemmed from. the hotel is only small so everybody seems to speak to everybody, though there was alot of polish people in the hotel but still loads of the English to! its a little bit away from Naama Bay, so you couldnt walk it but it cost you no more than 20 /25 Egyptian pounds, which is about £2.50! the hotel taxi driver will take you and pick you up so u dont have to try and haggle the mad taxi drivers down from ridiculous prices!

the free beach doesnt have sand and you sunbath on slat/rocks but we went a few times as this didnt bother us at all and the sorkling there is fantastic, so you wouldnt even need to go on a trip, we didnt. we only had 1 bad experience with a painter and his shop but apart from him, you dont get hasselled to go in shops too much, you just say no and they leave it at that!

The manager Mohammad on the reception is a lovely man, always happy to help and will get you cheaper trips, and he is most definately not out to rip you off. You can't bring drink or food in to the hotel (biscuits and crisp are ok as you cant buy them at the hotel) so we smuggled water in frm the shop next door in my beach bag, as they charge 2 egyptian pounds and the hotel charge 7 !

The rooms are cleaned every day to a high standard, with clean bedding an towels !
All in all, we would both go back to this hotel for a cheap holiday, as it was much better then we expected it to be!

Amar sina is a very friendly hotel with character and charm. The staff are friendly. The hotel is built with beautiful rooms and I have never slept so well in many years. The food was very good that I probably put on a stone leaving my hotel. They have a camel named Habiba and goats and the person looking after the camel Torek is very friendly and dont mind you seeing the camel every day and visiting the goat every day. The big boss Mr E madis very friendly and Mohammed in reception is very friendly and all the other staff in reception is very friendly. Hashem in the pool bar is very friendly. The hotel is 10 minutes in a cab froim Naama bay but that is a good thing. We will go back again.

Beautiful snorkelling at beach that the hotel have. I saw sting ray banner fish and all fishes.

Very pleasently surprised by a last minute booking at Amar Sina. Beautiful hotel - very authentic style with absolutely everything on-site you can want. Lovely private beach that is great for snorkelling. Staff friendly and able to help with any queries that arise. @All-inclusive offers you a great deal. With a diving centre next door, which is great for convenience. Would recommend to friends!

Great service from reception staff, especially mohamed, he made us feel welcome and were helpful with anything we wanted, arranged taxis and trips for us with no hassle. We also loved mustaffa, the shisha guy who was so friendly and happy.
The hotel itsefl was great, nice entertainment at night and good swimming pool and entertainment area.
Overall the stay was good, would recommend this to other people.

Amir Sina hotel is amazing. It was mine and my girlfriends first holiday together and we got a cheap deal for 505 english pounds for two weeks all inclusive. All reviews on trip advisor was really putting us off but we tryed to ignore them and it turned out to be one of the best holidays ever. the pool is clean, the restourant is lovely, the rooms get cleans every day with out fail, all the staff are so pollite and all always smiling and will do anything for you. Mohammed (the guy who works on reception) helped us with anything we needed . we met aload of nice english couples which we ended up going into naama bay with and having som great nights out. All in all, for you moneys worth, this hotel is really good and would defonitly recommend it to other couples and familys. And thank you yo Mohammed who helped us with anything we needed and made our holiday a pleasure and thanks to Mr Emed (manager of Hotel).

We stayed there in mid February as we wanted a cheap deal in the sun and Sharm was about the only place offering that on a budget.

Having read these reviews before we left, we were feeling gutted and not at all excited about our stay. However as you will read throughout this, I believe the reviews are written by nasty, spiteful and truly ignorant people, so don't let them ruin it for you!

Upon our arrival, I have to admit, our hearts sank as the building is certainly not aesthetically pleasing and we felt even worse as we were left waiting in reception for a very long time having already been stood up by our transfer. However, the guys in reception were friendly enough and put us at ease.
When we were showed to our room, it was pretty basic and dark. The air con of course did not work and there were lots and lots of hungry mosquitos! But despite this, it was clean and presented as well as it could be and we got a decent nights sleep.

Our first day saw us experiencing Egypt for the first time and it was this that I enjoyed the least. It may well be hot, with gorgeous beaches but the people are so so money grabbing. It is a cultural thing and I found the simelar in Turkey, but Sharm really is especially difficult. Just be careful about the prices and if you visit Sharm, you will unfortunately need lots of spending money just for basic things as everything is awfully expensive. It is cheap to book it, but not cheap to stay there. Also a young couple, my boyfriend was constantly having to deal with me being sleazed upon but again this is to be expected.

However, I have to say that this was my only real issue. The hotel was great for the price we had paid and lives up to all 3 of its stars. The staff were so so sweet. The cleaners made our towels into lovely designs each day and never asked for a tip. The bar and waiting staff were accomodating and welcoming and left us to enjoy our stay without getting any extra money out of us. The food was good, some days were brilliant in fact and the pool was lovely, I found absolutely no problems with it all. In fact the longer we stayed, the more appreciative we were of all the staffs hard work. We spent Valentines day there and were treated to a beautiful breakfast in the garden with flowers. They had tried so hard for us all.

We ended up spending much of our time at the hotel to avoid being targetted on the beach and we loved it. On the last day, the cleaners even wrote us a letter in their best English saying how happy they were we had stayed and they hoped we had enjoyed it!

The people who write these disgusting and completely incorrect reviews about the hotel are scroungers expecting the ritz for a tenner. If you want British culture, British prices and British food STAY IN SKEGNESS WHERE YOU BELONG!

We paid so little and had a lovely experience, so if you have booked here, take an open mind and be friendly and respectful to the staff and you will see how nice it is too. Don't listen to the miserable liars who want to ruin it for you.

- No explanation about where things were on arrival
- All Inclusive only available 10am til 10pm
- Drinks only provided in cheap party plastic cups
- Myself, my girlfriend and a few friends we made out there had food poisoning from the disgusting food.
- The staff were predatory and often gave sleazy compliments to females travelling alone
- No air con in the restaurant
- Pool bar closes at 4pm and so you have to go to another area which doesn't make sense as the pool doesn't close until 6
- Cleaners, when we ran into them were asking for a tip
- Unable to buy water from the shop attached to the hotel which was only 2L.E. and were forced to spend 7L.E. on the same product.
- Items will be confiscated if tried to smuggle in
- Often had to wait a long time to be served at the bar despite there being staff there
- Rude hotel staff
- Pool in such a state that tiles falling off and I cut my elbow on a tile. No grout between tiles.

As you can see, there is nothing good I can say about this hotel.
