we started our holiday in oasis(please read review) but upgraded to prestige after hubby saw it and wanted it..lol
Rooms are beautiful we had two four poster double beds in our room, bath and shower, seperate toilet, flat screen tv, fridge, air conditioning, free tea and coffee station, free water, balcony and pool view. also walk in wardobe/changing area.
free clubcar to take you anywhere on the resort you want to go and collect you again.
beautiful views from right outside reception.
plaisirs restaurant was excellent food.
air conditioned bar in prestige reception.
this has its own scluded private beach with jetty for you to go snorkelling. fish and coral stunning, a must see. my stepdaughter asked for some water while on the beach and it arrived in a cooler with ice and glasses to keep it cool.
if you stay at prestige you get free entrance to all outside pools at the spa.
would receommend staying here if you can afford it as it is more expensive then staying in oasis but worth it especially if you on romantic break. please see my photos. we will return to this resort and definately stay at prestige by far the best one there.

This resort is absolutely amazing, actually it should be called a city. They have: 6 hotels of various categories and all styled different, a diving centre, a casino, a clinic, an organic farm!, an arena with unbelieveable shows every night, 2 nightclubs, hundreds of little curio and convenience shops and about 25 restaurants and bars some of the staff told me there is even a school in here.

The Prestige hotels is the best on the resort and it really is, it has it's own secluded private beach and jetty (which all the others have too), 2 heated swimming pools, and access to a wonderfull spa, it's true that the weather this time of the year is up and down, some days we have great warm weather and others a few days of sun but with a chilly wind but the heated pools offer a good place to "hide" from the wind and still get a great tan.

When you are here you have to bring cash of course, I read with amusement what people write about paying for things and the quality of goods in town? This is a third world country people!! and for that fact I believe it is just amazing the variety and luxury of what they offer of course there is a premium on export goods but you can find local produce for almost anything and you have to try there are some little gem's.

The most amazing thing about this resort is it's scenery at night when the red sun sets behind the Sinai mountains you can't help but feel that sence of rich history and mystery that surrounds this part of the arab world.

Quite a bit has already been written about this hotel, so I will keep it short and sweet.

If you are looking for a relaxing and comfortable vacation with sun, sand and clear blue salt water, Domina Coral Bay is the place to go. The hotel property is widespread and packed with manicured, gorgeous scenery. At Domina Coral Bay people of all ages and situations can find a multitude of things to keep themselves happy and entertained. Because there is enough variety in food, ambience and activities for every taste.

Here are some things we didn't know going in that might have helped:

Bring enough cash! Euros and US dollars rule on the hotel property. You can't find a place to get more once you are there, as the ATM's and the hotel bank only pay out Egyptian Pounds. But you will need the local currency as well, especially on day trips and for taxi rides. Be prepared to use up to three currencies.

Bring snorkling gear and an underwater camera. The most beautiful coral reefs and sealife are accessable right from the hotel property from any one of three main floating docks. You'll be sorry if you don't and have to pay to rent a mask or flippers. And the cameras there are just plain expensive.

If you are visiting in February or March, be sure to bring clever layers of clothing. It can sway between hot and cold several times a day. Especially the wind can be unpredictable and tricky. Multi-purpose clothing - like a sarong which can be used as a scarf and a dress on the beach - is the way to go.

Bring a nice large beach bag. Since the hotel property is so large, you won't be able to just hop back over to your room to get something you need. You'll want to have everything you need in your bag.

Don't bring towels. You can get these from the towel stations conveniently located on the beach and at the various pools. Staff there will ask for your room number and you will have to bring the towels back to the same station or risk paying 20, USD.

Not every beach, pool or eating location is for every person. So be sure to check your status and find out on day one, which locations, restaurants etc. are accessable to you.

A taxi to Naama Bay costs between 20 and 30 Egyptian Pounds. The ride the Oldtown is more like 30 to 40. Definitely deal your price before you get in the car. And you may be surprised that the taxi driver decides he wants more at the end. Stick to your guns and only pay what you negotiated.

Smile and be friendly with staff and Egyptians at the markets. They mean well and are very polite and harmless. It just may seem odd how they try to draw you into shops or compliment your looks if you are a woman. Say no thanks rather than ignoring them, which is considered rude.

Have fun!

Very good service, very nice rooms and PLAISIRS restaurant serves the best italian food in Sharm and even private beach.
No russians, no egyptians.....very nice place.

I've been to many more expensive hotels in Sharm (Hyyat, Intercontinental, 4seasons) but this is the best.

Only PRESTIGE!

Having returned from 2 weeks at Domina Coral Bay I must say that we had originally booked for The Sutans Pool but I had telephoned them a few days before when I realized it was on a very steep hill and due to my walking disabilty I was a bit concerned. Also it was my husbands 60th, our wedding anniversary and my birthday the day we flew home and I did not want it spoiled by having to be confined to one place.
When we arrived we were given a room upgrade ( not package ) to the Prestige. What a wonderful surprize. The room was spacious, drapes round the bed, tea, coffee making facilities, large shower with jets ( some of the larger rooms had jaqusie baths ), spacious balcony with lattice shutters.
The pool which was just outside our room was magnificent and never packed with people, wonderful sun beds, padded and fresh towels everytime you left your sun bed and came back. Thanks to Fouzie the lifeguard, he was superb.
The only downfall was that although the room guys were very nice and did a wonderful display on the bed for our anniversary, the room could have been a bit cleaner, we also had to ask for more coffee and tea frequently
Sounds strange but a pair of my husbands trousers went missing from the room also my ipod. First thing you think of is did I really have them in the first place, till you get home and they are not in the house.
USE THE SAFE.
The complex is that big you use Taff Taffs (little buses) to get round and are very frequent. I would think in high season though you would have a job getting on them. Prestige provides golf carts that will take you where you want to go. To hire them it is 17euro per day..
As we were all inclusive we were limited for eating to 4 eating places. Much of the sameness after a few days. Wine and beer with meals or other drinks at the Wadi at the beach. 1 bar at night, yes 1 bar. That was at the Sultan. It has about 15 tables out and10 in. That closes 12 Domina time ( dont ask ) its actually 11pm in normal time....... They tell you Domina time is 1 hour ahead of Cairo because to get more sun in the morning. RUBBISH. its because 80 per cent of guests are Russian and they dont have to change their watches. Drinks at other bars VERY expensive. Vodka and coke 15GBP

By your cigs and tobacco at the airport. Stuff in Naama Bay is either fake or dried up. Its only about 1 BP more. Before you get in a taxi make sure you get a price in EGYPTIAN pounds. If you dont specify they will get you to the other end and tell you no it is in British. Some of them get quite nasty and although we didnt experiance it we heard of people being left in the middle of nowhere because of it.

The staff in Domina we found to be very pleasant and some went out of there way to make you welcome and expected nothing in return. Trips we found were quite expensive if you wanted to go further a-feild. In Naama Bay a trip to Jordan for 1 day. 170 GBP. plus visas for Jordan plus Visas to get back into Egypt ( even if you already purchased them at the start of your holiday ).

Dont even think of taking the coach trip to Cairo. It takes 6-8 hours to get there, flying visit, then the same back.. All in one day.

It is not recomended for the frail, old or infirm.

Have just returned from a week at this great hotel. We went last year after recommendation and again this year was very pleased with the holiday.

If going to Domina Coral Bay, then I would see if you can afford to upgrade to the Prestige. We book ours through Octopus travel but independant companies like Harvey World travel will also do it for you.

The rooms are very well appointed and are largeand all have either a sea view or pool view, either are acceptable. There is two pools associated with the Prestige. The Plasirs restaurant is of a high quality and the food at breakfast is fantastic with a choice of cereal through to pastries and hot freshly cooked items such as pancakes and omelets.

Currently there are few Brits who go here and you will find mainly Italians and Russians who use this hotel.

There is no need to take towels as they provide them both for the pools and the Prestige beach which is only accessable to clients of the hotel.

Domian Coral Bay has a number of hotels within the complex and a variety of restaurants you can use also. There is evening entertainment of a high standard via a permanent dance troop performing a different act each night.

There is a casino and a Suk with many shops in it.

We found all staff helpful and the excellent golf carts that you can take to get around the complex are really useful.

If you are looking for a good quality hotel that is in fact reasonable with excellent facilities then this is recommended.

For someone who rarely goes to the same resort or hotels more than once to have gone back for a second year running is an endorsement in its self.
