Just got back from an 8 day stay at the savoy. Booked bed & breakfast but upgraded to s class as soon as we arrived. Well worth it as food and alcohol was pricey (wine £9+ a glass) also this included other added extras such as a massage etc. the hotel, pool, beach, reception, restaurants etc were all exceptionally clean, food was amazing in all restaurants and soho square felt very safe. We had a standard room which was spacious, clean and very comfortable and we were able to see the sea from our balcony. Excellent value for money and will 100% stay at the Savoy again.

The only very minor negatives are no wifi in rooms, it is available in other areas but is a very weak signal. The service EVERYWHERE is very relaxed (slow!) which isn't a problem if you are prepared for it and lastly the gala dinner is a little bit like a boring wedding reception so I wouldn't advise wasting an evening at the gala as there are so many other lovely places to eat.

Thanks to everyone at the Savoy for such a wonderful holiday. Hopefully we will be back again soon!

Dear Reviewer,

I would like to cordially thank you for your very positive summary referring to your recent stay in our Resort. It’s nice to read that our S-Class concept was a perfect choice for you and you enjoyed the package concept. Please note that for our guests who choose not to stay S-class, a very acceptable glass of local wine starts at 50 LE which, at today’s exchange rate, is £4.70 sterling.

Thank you for highlighting how safe the destination is, particularly at Soho Square. Everybody enjoys a high standard of recreational facilities, bowling alley, billiards, tennis and ice-skating access including a variety of international entertainment on the stage and in the Crystal Lounge plus hassle-free shopping in one safe, managed resort.

I would like to assure you that we are taking into consideration all our guests feedback but this is the first time we have received a negative comment about the Gala dinner which is only for our S-Class guests.
We lay on a special set menu and entertainment program (live band, belly dancer) in one of our best ballrooms.

Thank you again for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share it on this forum. The Savoy Team is looking forward to welcoming you back soon

Kind regards,

Jacques PETER

This was our first time at The Savoy and I have to say it was exactly what we wanted and much more than we expected. The people, location and facilites were outstanding and we will return as soon as we can. The S class package is a must and we did not even leave the complex as it had everything we needed. The only comment I will make is the sun shades on the beach, the lifeguards sneakily put people under your shade while you are distracted and then you look up and have another family literally under your shade, it creates tension and arguments when you should be relaxing without a care in the world. I think its a real problem and they need to address this.

A great first experience to Sharm and we will be going back !
The hotel is co located with the Royal Savoy and Soho square is just outside the main entrance and its alll a 10 min taxi ride from the airport (we didn't hear any aircraft noise !). We were on an all inclusive package (S class) that allowed us to eat anywhere in any of the restaurants in the hotel or Soho square. From the moment we arrived to the time we left I found the staff to be polite, friendly and helpful. All the restaurants were good and had a high standard of food with a wide range of wines and drinks, I would highly recommend 'Hot rocks" and the sea food island prawns. The room we had was clean, cool and the beds were particularly comfortable. If I had a criticism it was the lack of space around the sun shades both at the pool and the beach, the beach is shared with another complex (Sierra) and guests from the other complex appear to pich the shades !!, however the pool staff were fantastic especially Mohamed (Mohamed El Hardy) who went out of his way to make sure we had a couple of sun-beds in the shade !!.... All in all a fab holiday.

Room Tip: Go all inclusive (S class)

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for choosing the Savoy Hotel for your recent holiday and for writing such a positive review of the resort.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed our S-Class Concept and your recommendation of the Seafood restaurant and Caligula (Hot Rock) are much appreciated.

indeed, We have very spacious, luxurious rooms and suites furnished with hard wood furniture (sycamore) designed to give guests a restful experience. They have very large balconies or terraces overlooking the grounds in the tranquil Red Sea ambience.

Your comments about our employees’ service are also very welcome and will be passed on to all Savoy Team members. It’s a good opportunity to thank Mohamed Abdel Hady who always does a great job. There are occasions when someone like Mohamed is needed to move the loungers around or help find some shade or sun and we always ensure that we have several people like Mohamed to assist around the beach and the pools.

It has been a pleasure to host you at the Savoy and we look forward to your next trip.

Kind regards,

Jacques PETER

The Savoy Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Sharm. We had fantastic holiday . The location is very close to airport and the night life if SoHo square is amazing. Lots of entertainment within the hotel as well as the Soho square. The beach is huge with areas for snorkeling, but did not find the beach good to swim though. Lots of great and all types of water sports are available. The food was a delight with all types of International flavors, we enjoyed the Indian food at the Bombay restaurant too much. Savoy is a great place for kids as it has lots of games and rides in the kids area. The 3 pools are amazing and caters to all types of swimmers . There was free shuttle to Nama bay area at thrice a day. Though we did not really feel the need to go anywhere because the whole soho square was so entertaining and lively. The morning breakfast was loaded with variety and the service was efficient and the food was delectable. So all thumbs up for Savoy hotel and we wish to come back here again. Its a great value for money and fun to stay. Satisfied travellers.

Fantastic holiday-everything was perfect from start to finish! This was our first trip to Egypt we stayed from 22-29 April, and will now be the first of many! How surprised were we by the charm, helpfulness and beauty of The Savoy Hotel.
We have been on 8 holidays together to various countries and this was by far the best one. I wanted a holiday without hassle-a relaxing break for myself and my partner to celebrate his 40th Birthday. I booked through Fleetway Travel, the Half Board Deluxe.
We got swiftly picked up at the airport, shown to our room within 20 minutes from landing! The staff welcomed us and were extremely friendly without fishing for tips.
Our room was huge-everything worked perfectly. The whole hotel was much more than we anticipated-really, really lovely place. Our Half Board Deluxe meant we got a breakfast every morning-the choice was amazing, and we also got a 3-course meal in the evening at any of the 13 restaraunts. We had to buy drinks seperately but I found
as we usually only have one or two drinks a night that this cost was less than going S-Class. Due to the huge breakfasts we were not hungry for lunch, and would work up an appetite for tea so this suited us to the ground. We also got free vouchers to have a glass of champagne in the Crystal Lounge in Soho Square every night. I was worried that the amount of people who say All Inclusive S-Class is the way to go...I found the Half Board Deluxe to be great as we took 3 bottles of wine in our suitcase and just had a glass or two every evening and this cost was a lot lower than going All-Inclusive.
So, on the day my other half was 40 we went out and the staff decorated the bed with flowers, balloons, drink vouchers and petals-really lovely touch-he also got a hotel cap to wear! In the evening when we returned to the room from having tea, there was a birthday cake waiting for him! Such thoughtfulness and timing was lovely.
At The Savoy we felt we were treated like a King and a Queen-nothing was any trouble-everyone was there to help. I like the 'finer' things in life shall we say-and I like a good customer service...the Savoy totally blew me away. The food was some of the best I have ever tasted-the presentation, the speed of service, the taste was just brilliant. I have never returned from a holiday and gotten on the internet so quickly to try and book to go again! We stayed in Pool View room 1103 which was just great in terms of location. We did a lot of snorkelling and excursions via Spring Tours who were based at The Savoy. All excursions were safe, fun and great value for money.
I can not wait to return here-and all the staff really, really know how to look after their guests. Two very happy travellers!
