“Wonderful Holiday~”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014

It's hard to pick the best thing about this hotel. The food was lovely, especially in the three a la carte restaurants (one visit to each per week), which were Thai (My favourite), Italian and Egyptian. The hotel go completely out there for all of the themes, which was different every night. Everything was decorated spectacularly, and there was always something for everyone. There is a section of the restaurant for vegan food, diabetics etc.

The entertainment was another very strong point, though not all of the evening shows were great. In particular the Millennium show was quite good, however the Back To The Future show was quite repetitive and dull. During the day there was lots to do, sports, games, snorkelling, trips...

The teens club was a great way for teenagers to meet up, as was the kids' club, however there is a gap with the clubs as many eleven and twelve year olds had to tag along with the teens' club but weren't allowed to take part in the activities because they were too old for the kids' club.

The staff were very friendly and always say hello. The room was always very clean and tidy. One fault was that we asked for a Seaview room, though we could see the sea it certainly wasn't very close and we could only see a little bit of it, so that was a little disappointing. However we were offered to move rooms if we so desired, but it wasn't necessary. The rooms were still very nice and bigger than we had expected. One other problem was that our bathroom (room 14322) did not have hot water in the sink. It wasn't really a big problem until we had to wash our clothes. Sometimes the shower did run cold too, I think there may have been a problem with the water in our room because the room next door had no problem at all.

The pool area was always kept lovely and clean, though the floor was incredibly slippy so be very careful. The beach area was also very clean and tidy. The drinks served were very nice, with a lot of choice especially for kids.

The only disappointment of the hotel was the wi-fi, not only was it slow and unreliable, it was not available in the room or very far away from the terrace. Also, a password and username had to be acquired from reception every hour, and it was a bit of a pain. It wasn't a massive issue because we didn't need to be on the internet all that much since we were on holiday, however my friend was away from her parents for the first time and it would have been nice if she could have emailed without so much trouble.

The trips were very good, I recommend the water park for children especially. A word of advice though- the trip to Soho square is not really necessary. We took the trip to Soho square and then a few nights later returned ourselves, just going by taxi. Much cheaper and it means you do not need to stop off at any other hotels, you have unlimited time and you don't need to leave at a specific time to get the coach. Soho square is lovely, pricey and very very busy around 9/10pm, but still a great visit and would definitely return. The old market trip isn't great, though I would recommend going on the trip and not on your own, simply because the guide was able to show everyone some shops that don't hassle you, and they ended up being the best shops to buy in, really.

I would strongly recommend going to the Hard Rock Cafe in Nabq, it can be walked in about 15/20 minutes and a taxi only costs about £5. The food was fantastic, the service was the best I'd ever had and the whole place had a great atmosphere. The Rock shop was pricey, but full of tshirts that say 'Nabq' on them which will be hard to find anywhere else. There is also a Starbucks, Mcdonalds, Burger King, TJI Fridays etc. I was a bit disappointed at how commercial that area was, but it is all a tourist area so it is expected. Still, Hard Rock Cafe seems to be the best place to be. There are plenty of more traditional Egyptian places around the area.

Some advice, especially in places like the Old Market, the best way to check if the water is purified or not is to see if it has a little hole in it. If it is a full square with no dip or anything, then it is not filtered. The hotel only uses filtered water and there is always plenty available.

Overall, it was an excellent hotel and I would strongly recommend it.

Room Tip: Seaview rooms are not guaranteed a great view. Top floor rooms often have high ceilings which are ve...

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

This was our fourth time in Eygpt and couldn’t wait to start our holiday at Magic Life after all the fantastic reviews. We chose this holiday to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our 50th birthdays. We stayed for two weeks from 3rd August.

THE TRAGIC
Well on arrival nobody to meet guests off coach and the driver had to go and find people to help with the luggage etc. Booking in was very quick after filling in forms and offered drinks and flannels for freshening up we were taken to our room. We had emailed in advance to request a top floor room over looking a pool (we had already paid for pool views on booking). When we were taken to our room it was on the top floor but unfortunately over looked the restaurants and seating areas , also the drinks in the fridge had been drank, leaving half filled bottles in the fridge. So we went to reception and were told they couldn’t do anything until the morning. Also the restaurant was opened up at 11.30 for us to have something to eat but it was extremely limited. So we didn’t get anything to eat that night. Also we couldn’t sleep due to the horrendous noise of the all night bar where certain people have no respect for others and continue to shout and holler to each other across the complex, this went on until 4.30 in the morning when we eventually managed a little sleep. Not the start we had hoped for.

THE MAGIC !!!!!!!!
As it was our anniversary the hotel had given us a basket of assorted fruits and a bottle of chilled white wine accompanied with a card also we had bathroom robes for our use. We decided we would go and see the Thomson rep Ahmed about the room, who was absolutely brilliant he was so apologetic after we showed him the picture of our view from the room and explained we had paid for a pool view. He spoke to management who said we could look at another room. This was by the relax pool on the ground floor but was not for us, so he rang the manager later that evening who said we could look at two more rooms the next day one was on the second floor the other on the third floor by the relax pool. Well we chose the third floor pool view which was amazing as we could also see the sea and Tiran Island in one direction and just part glimpses of the sea over other rooms. It was perfect. Also it was so quiet. The room has a small fridge which has water coke and fanta replenished daily on the all inclusive also coffee, tea and sugar also creamers to make drinks and there is a good sized kettle. There is also a hair dryer in the bathroom. The rooms are a good size with a massive comfortable bed we slept better here than we have in any other hotels. The only negative I would say is that you need more lighting in the rooms. Excellent air con and shower hot water all the time. A very large balcony with washing line two chairs and table. (just take a few pegs as only four on line). You have towel cards to get pool towels which get changed daily.

Ahmed, the Thomson rep arranged for us to have a cake and special table for us at the al a carte restaurant because of the mix up with the room. This rep really cares and wants to help make the holiday special, Thomson are so lucky to have such a fantastic rep. As he’s worth his weight in gold as we saw him helping other guests as well and genuinely wants to help.
Our room cleaner Amir room 21307 was excellent every day clean bedding and towels and always left fantastic towel art.
RELAX POOL
We were in block 21b where we could always get a sun bed with no problems the staff that run the bar here OSAMA and KHALED are absolutely amazing they don’t stop from early till late Osama will basically run around the pool delivering drinks without you even having to ask as he remembers everybody’s orders and will place drinks down even when you haven’t asked for them, he even remembers when you switch your drinks after lunch. In the afternoons both bar staff will bring around fruits on sticks or cocktail drinks to try, and even lovely cold flannels to cool off with. Also lovely fresh rolls all afternoon they were yummy. Both Osama and Khaled have a sense of humour and you could have a good joke with them. Good luck Khaled on your wedding in September and also Osama on your wedding in January.
Mohammed the towel man also works really hard putting out towels putting up umbrellas and moving them when needed. He is always sweeping and cleaning floors around the pools and also helps collect glasses from tables. He will also have a joke with you.Make sure you keep wearing your hat to keep the sun off your head Mohammed.
ACTIVITY POOL
We went there first day but didn’t like the noise but there was lots of activities for all age groups we just preferred the relax pool. It has three pools with a child splash pool and a bar in the middle where you can get food and drinks all day.
BEACH
Plenty of beds and parasols all with comfy cushions as around the pools but not many people there as temperature was high 40’s and as the sea is as hot as a bath you can’t cool down unless you go to the showers. The jetty is amazing as you can see all kinds of fish in amazing colours we saw box fish sword fish angel fish. There is a life guard at end of jetty if you choose to snorkel who is excellent, watching all the time and blows his whistle if not happy about something. There are two large camels and a baby camel at end of jetty the men don’t bother you and the baby camel is really cute. The beach bar is also really good with another happy chap called Mohammed Adel who also remembers your drinks even if you don’t go there everyday.
FOOD
Magico restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner always plenty of choice if people can’t find things to eat they must have something wrong with them. Lovely ice creams as lunch time as well. Each evening there are different themes and waiters decorate restaurant to suit theme and dress accordingly to the theme. The food is always piping hot and constantly replenished.

AL A CARTE
You book at 9 am day before your chosen meal at guest reservations
WOW!!! MI THAI the food here was amazing could have eaten there every night. We went there lots at lunch times for fajitas they are out of this world they also had pastas and salads. We also celebrated our wedding anniversary here where the table was decorated and we received a cake it was really big with a candle in the top. Service was outstanding at all times.
EYGPYTIAN first meal not so good but second meal much better Mohammed who was in charge of staff here made sure everything went really well they replenish bottles of wine constantly.
ITALIAN again Mohammed was in charge of staff here as well and always made sure everything was ok he would check with you all the time that we were happy with everything. He is a first class manager, and an absolute asset to the hotel.
GARDENS
The staff who work on the gardens do an amazing job they are beautiful with ornaments and different plants around also dates were being picked from the trees whilst we were there and to watch the gardeners climb the trees to cut them down was amazing as they only had a rope and bare feet.
EAGLES BAR
Fab cocktails and crisps the staff in this hotel have amazing memories and remember your drinks every day considering when full the hotel caters for 1100 people.
LOBBY BAR
This is where evening entertainment is and you can drink and watch shows but it is very hot,Michael Jackson show was fab.
INTERNET
As other guests say its hit and miss but we weren’t really that bothered.
SHOPS
Be careful here as it all depends on who serves you as one man tells you the price is Sterling and the other man tells you it’s Euros we got caught a couple of times paying Sterling which cost more than Euros. When spoke to owner he made out this didn’t happen but we weren’t the only people this happened to.
WELLNESS TEAM
We were only approached twice and said a polite no thank you and we were left alone.

We didn’t do trips, as have done before, but we were never bored. We didn’t even leave complex as always found something to do and had lots of walks, we would go both ways along the beach path and could see other hotels, none of which matched up to cleanliness and tidiness of Club Magic Life..

To sum up this holiday, best holiday in Egypt, neither of us were ill, which normally happens when we’ve been to other hotels.
Would we return? YES without a doubt, the staff really make this hotel OSAMA AND KHALED by the relax pool deserve medals but saying that, all the staff are friendly and happy and hard working. Nobody waits for tipping but you want to do it as they give such excellent service.
If you are thinking of booking this hotel do it you won’t regret it.

THE MAGIC Lovely hotel, lovely staff and we met some lovely fun people. We had an excellent holiday.

Our whole week was fantastic in every single way. The complex was always very clean and well maintained. The staff were outstanding so very friendly. The food was super and the main restaurant had different themes each evening. There were 3 a la carte restaurants which the food and service especially was outstanding. Would highly recommend this as an ideal holiday to either relax or be as active as you chose.

Well where do I start-amazing from start to finish!!!!!!!!
On arrival we were given a cool drink and flannel and asked to tag our bags and then told that the restaurant will be open at 11.30, (I thought that this was for us as we arrived around 10pm - its not it opens again at 11.30 every evening). We were then taken to our room and less than 5 minutes later our bags arrived.
Hotel -Staff friendly and genuine, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. People moan about the spa staff but we had no problem with them. Location was directly on the beach with beach bar and own jetty. The gardens are beautiful and a delight to stroll round.
Food and drink- If you can't find anything to eat here you need to see a doctor as you must have an eating disorder. The beach restaraunt is a must for lunch for freshly made fajitas. There are 3 al a carte restaurants that we didn't go in but will the next time. There is a cake and coffee shop that is also a must in the afternoon when your ready to chill before the evening. Every night in the main restaurant was a different theme and the decor and waiters outfits fitted accordinglyto the theme. The cocktails are not mixed out of a machine they are lush, so much so that I drank my way through the whole list whlst trying to find a favourite. They also have a whole menu for different types of hot chocolate which is great to take back to your room at the end of the evening.
Rooms - We had a junior suite overlooking the relax pool that was fantastic for us and would have been big enough for a family. The cleanliness is second to none. There are tea and coffe making facilities in the rooms that are replenished when required.
Entertainment - There was a great deal of entertainment to choose from so it's down to personal choice.
If you are not a beach person you can clearly see the fish from the jetty so you don't have to get wet. The reps at this hotel actually live on site but we had no need to bother them, just asked for advice.
We took 2 trips whilst here, one was the adult boat trip, make sure you take money as they have a photographer on board and for £20.00 he takes pictures all day and pops them on to a CD for you (we were a little sceptical) and they create memories, we also went to Soho square, just eat before you go as you will spend time in the ice bar and no hassle shopping.
People will always find somthing to moan about - its human nature but you will be very hard pushed to moan about this hotel.
We couldn't fault this hotel or it's staff in any way, so much so that by the time my husband reads this review I will have booked a surpise holiday back here to celebrate his birthday.
A big thanks go to all the hotel staff and the Thomson reps for making this stay a memorable one.

Room Tip: Any room would be ok as this is a great hotel.

Lovely 10 night stay, a little nervous to be going to Egypt but all put to sleep when arrived at club magic life. Yes room a little dated agreed but they were spotlessly clean as was the whole complex. The staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. Food fabulous and so much choice. Could be kept busy from morning till night if you wanted too with activities, entertainment staff were brilliant.

A party of 9 including 3 couples 2x 16 yr old boys and a ten year old girl, we stayed at club magic life for 2wks and couldn't fault it. The food was amazing, despite the fact that we didn't visit the a la carte restaurants. The entertainment team were brilliant especially Luis and Zizo, they catered for all ages and didn't push people who didn't want to join in. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, with mini bar stocked daily. Special thanks to Wael Mamdoh and Mohammad Adel two waiters who made our holiday fun, and my birthday extra special. The pool party and beach party were great and there was plenty of other night time entertainment. The beach was beautiful and snorkelling easy to do from the jetty. The only suggestion we would make would be to put some pool/ snooker tables upstairs in the American fun pub and play music videos rather than football. We had a brilliant holiday here and are hoping to return with more of our family next year .

Room Tip: Block 14 overlooks pool but heard no noise
