“A good hotel to enjoy Sharm El Sheikh in.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2011

First impressions were good with a nice reception filled with greenery and a comfy bar. The pool area includes goal for those wanting to play some water sports though I’m more of a sunbather with a drink.

The room was a good size with tv and a nice veranda to sit out in in the morning. The bathroom was nicely decorated with regularly fresh towels.

The restaurant had a good selection of food with a chef cooking the food in front of you to taste which is good if you have any specific requirements.

Luna Sharm is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are big, airy and clean and the pool area is lovely. There is a very good spa facility and shops on site and a restaurant that does good food three times a day. The bar is open from 10 - 10 and has a great selection of drinks available.

What really makes this hotel fantastic is the staff - the receptionists, the bar and restaurant staff, the cleaners and everyone else are so friendly and professional - they made this a really brilliant holiday. They all speak excellent English. The service is absolutely fabulous all the time.

I really enjoyed this holiday - 10 / 10 to everyone at Luna! :) x

The hotel was amazing, great quality for the price, the staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming and went out of their way to help and advise on any issue regarding my holiday from prices for taxi fares through to the best places to go.

Special mentions go to the barstaff, reda, mahmud, mortada, and abu dab (spellings may be wrong my writing is illegible, and i apologise greatly for it), who went to great lengths to make my stay enjoyable and fun.

The resteraunt served excellent food and the staff were also helpfull and welcoming.

We've just spent a week at the Luna Sharm with my partner and my 4month old daughter, after reading reviews before we went we were dreading going and were ready to go to our rep to move hotel. On arrival we were expecting the worst and it was the complete oppistie we were greeted with glasses of orange juice and biscuts. After a lovely arival we got showed to our room and we were excpecting hell and they were the complete oppsite to what we read, yes if you are very pickey and pick up on the slitest things then it would bother you but they were just your ,avarage room queen bed, tv, fridge with free water, shower n toilet, everything you need. The food is good got no bad stomach or anything all i would say is it is the same food everyday rice pasta chicken and beef so if your expecting english food you will be disappoint. The bar staff are great and will make any drink for you. There is noise for the night entertainment but not loud like other reports. But if your just wanting a cheap holiday get away this is your place, for a peaceful get away and for heat al year round this is your place, your 2mins taxi ride from namma bay and 5mins walk to a new done up street where mcdonnal buger king starbucks, mothercare, and loads more stuff very nice xxxx

In the last 2 years we have read reviews on 8 hotels and apartments we have booked, and pretty much travelled with an open mind ( budget travel if you want 4 breaks a year). Some reviews are true but most bad ones seem to written by people who should have stayed in the uk with their maccy d's and bingo, and not visited a third worid country.
\getting back to the Luna Sharm thoroughly enjoyed our stay we didn't go for the things above as you can guess but hard a warm relaxing holiday attended to by really friendly staff. only moans yesa/i bar closes early (solved by ultra upgrade for a couple of quid)
food a bit samey but always something, and the pool must be refridgerated it was Baltic (also think they kept the breakfast butter in there).
As others have said you only get what you pay for and this was great value for money.

i was really worried about staying here after reading the bad reviews but guess thats just trip advisor. the hotel was actually better than i expected. thomas cook rate it as a 3 star and i beleive it is, if they sorted the food issue out maybe could be a 4... well its lovely and big the staff are so welcoming all inclusive is 10-10 as many people have complained about, i never. the food is pretty boring but you will find something to eat. its mainly tea time, i thought breakfast was pretty good. but you dont have to eat in all the time. the location not far from from naama only 30 egp in a taxi about 10 min drive if that, i liked the location it was away from the hustle, locations good if u like to walk. they do have entertainment but being in january is out of season so its not as busy so some entertainment will be cancelled but you can always go to naama or the tavern next door. the hotel has a lovely little spa upstairs try it out very relaxing. the rooms are cleaned daily well mine was, if it isnt just ask they will do it. the pool was nice but too cold. take repelant spray there is flies but there everywhere in sharm so dont worry. enjoy your holiday i did and dont please dont let these bad reviews ruin your holiday

I had a lovely 2 week stay at luna sharm, you get what you pay for, you cant expect to turn up at an amazing lush hotel when only paying a cheap price. People were moaning about the quality of the hotel but if you want an amazing hotel then pay double or treble the amount and go 5*. The hotel is clean, the staff are a great laf and very hard working especially Reda he is a credit to the place. My only complaint was the food it was very nice but very repetitive but this is understandable as they have to suit everyones needs.
