Just returned from here and after reading reviews we were a bit concerned, the complex is as you would expect in Egypt not quite a 5 star but room was lovely clean towels every day, (bath robe and slippers when asked the male maid), the fridge in room had 1 bottle of water and 2 cans which we could have asked to be replenished if we wanted. The food was as you find in most places not piping hot but perfectly cooked and edible, sometimes a bit of a strange plateful ( no chips) but potatoes, pasta, chicken, beef most days no need to go hungry as long as you dont mind mixing up your food a bit.

The staff were very friendly, there are a lot of quite rude russian guests getting drunk and eating enourmous amounts of food but they did not bother us and the nicce waiters had our table ready each time we went to the dining room.

The only critisisms are that there was only certain bars for all inclusive drinks and the main evening one is outdoors, the indoor bars you pay for drinks, there are several pools which some are for paying guests so it is not quite a fully all inclusive resort. I would not recommend it for kids who want lots of entertainment etc but for a chilled out holiday with fabulous jetty to snorkel off and lovely spacious beach then its for you. Block 34 rooms are central to everything as there are a lot of steps although they have a bus that will take you around the resort. There are also several paying restaurants and we used Ernestos' which was fabulous set menu and only £15 each including drinks for 3 course.

Room Tip: Block 34.216 has lovely sea views

The Domina Coral Bay Oasis is part of a huge complex consiting of numerous hotels as well as privately owened units within the complex. We travelled in January 2012. To be fair it wasn't the worst holiday we have ever had but certainly wasn't the best either. As with previous reviews we found being anything but Russian, Ukranian or Italian meant you were in a minority, athough this did not spoil our holiday. We felt that the hotel was not geared up for All Inclusive - although they advertised 5 bars, only one stayed open until midnight. This was esssentailly a beach bar and very chilly at night, which made it uncomfortable. There was a lovely bar in the main hotel which was off limits to AI residents. The same could be said about the resturants. We had a communal main eating area, which was fine, but across the complex numerous other eateries were available all at a high price.

The complex was very clean and tidy, rooms made up every day and staff friendly, it was just a shame about lack of facilities.

We spent few days there, lots of things to do, we loved the locals very nice people, did few tours, liked the Sahara tour on bikes a lot of fun( take your own goggles and hattah) as they sell them to you...pricey...and don't tell you need them for the ride!!! the submarine ride is also nice we got to see some sting ray fish. the para sailing is fun,

While their is a lot of things to do, the hotel staff seemed to be reluctant to say anything about the tours! it turns we had to wait for tour company representative to assist us with what we need, wasted two days, if you are interested in doing tours do your best to set up your tours as soon as you arrive, the tours are worth doing.
Note, the towel card YOU SHOULD NOT LOSE, they will charge a silly amount for the cards if you loose them we paid almost $75 for towels that you can buy for $10!!

We got terribly sick from the food, eat out if you can, or avoid the meat as a rule.
I will go back but stay some where else.

Hotel is not new anymore, but at least people try to give their best. Big and usually lot of people (approxm. 3000) in resort.

Room Tip: Most of rooms are seaview.

Great holiday, i would go back any day. staff very kind especially with children. lots of animation and its impossible to get bored. food is great especially with the various different restaurants. bus service (taff taff) around the village is amazing very well organized. good rooms with mini bar and cleaned daily. the best part is that its relatively cheap to what is offered. the only weak points are the spa and the lack of english speakers in the staff. i would not hesitate to stay another month. lots of single hot russians too :)

We stayed there 1st week in november and had a great holiday the staff were friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed etc. there were alot of rude russians and italians but they didnt really bother us. they do eat alot though, you would of thought that they have never seen food before!! we had a bit then went up for more if required they just mounted up plates and plates of food, think they were worried the food will run out.

The food overall was nice you could always find something to eat, they would always cook ommelettes and eggs for breakfast and fresh pasta etc for dinner along with all kinds of meats and vegetables.

Dissapointed that we couldnt use the saltlake as we didnt have the correct coloured bands which was not told to us on booking our holiday also you get 20% discount from the onsite restaurants (italian, mexican & steak house) but if your eating in these on your last night they demand you pay cash and you dont get the 20% discount.

We stayed here in March on a girlie holiday as part of an Expedia package inc flights. I looked on trip advisor and the reviews are so mixed that I didn't know what to think. As a general rule though, if someone has had a bad experience, it's not going to be the best place to stay. But we had no idea how bad it could get. Our flight was a night flight and we arrived very early to the hotel, but were told we would have to wait the 5 hours until check in time! We were exhausted and had to sleep in the hotel lobby. They didn't like this so promptly moved us outside! At least a member of staff brought us some breakfast to eat, but only after we asked. We were then taken to our room (only after a ridiculously lengthy check in process) on a golf buggy thing cos the place is like a small country and at least the guy helped us with our bags. Our room was nice enough, balcony, sea view etc. Bit dated, but fine for what it was. Breakfast is a huge free for all - filling up bottles of water from the cooler is a daily battle against members of staff who actually physically assault you in order to stop you doing this. It's absolutely disgraceful. We weren't on a fully inclusive deal (thank god), but surely fresh drinking water is a basic human right? The beach is also another ordeal. You can only go on certain bits of it. For example at the fresh water lake they will literally throw you off your beach loungers unless your room overlooks it. At no point were we told you couldn't use this - it says nothing about it on the map/surrounding area/at check in. You can also only use 1 pool that your room is near - none of the others, so don't think you'll have loads of choice of places to go. It's a nightmare. The worst day was when our room had no running water. I was ill with Egyptian belly (probably from Domina food) and could not even flush the toilet after being sick! When I rung reception they said it was being dealt with, but nothing was fixed until the following day. DISGUSTING! We should have been given a refund for this night's stay. Another basic human right ignored. Towels are rarely replaced either - we resorted to stealing off the housekeeping trolley in order to get replenishments (including toilet roll)!!! When we were given the bill whilst checking out (you can't pay for anything in cash, it's all on the room), we tried to argue for a discount due to our horrific experience. We didn't ask for much off literally £30 or something, but we were shouted at by a whole host of managers. This ended with us leaving the money less the discount and walking out whilst they argued amongst themselves. They were absolutely hideous people. All in all a shocking experience. Less like a hotel and more like a prison. If you want a relaxing holiday then please don't stay here!

Room Tip: Tip: DON'T STAY HERE, but if you do make sure you don't use the hotel taxis - walk to outsid...
