Scenic views, nice lush green gardens with various pools for all age groups. Staff offered great service.
The rooms are quite big but the furniture are old dated; the problem with the shower (with drine pipe -in this class hotel it shouldn't be). A wide variety of breakfast (but repetitve) was served with great views of the Red Sea. Sala thai was fantastic and Cascades Reaturant was also very good- prices you can find on hotel webside (they are high but we were shure that our health will be ok)

The beach is exclusive for hotel guests, reef in 50% is dead but fishes are amazing. We will return.

First class hotel. Excellent snorkeling, an abundance of fish to see on the reef right in front of the hotel, where numerous boats on snorkeling trips came every day. The Regency Club section of the hotel is highly recommended by us and is the place to stay for those who are able to afford the additional cost. Our room was right on the sea front and both the room and bathroom were large, very well maintained and always kept clean by housekeeping. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent and always most attentive. Plenty of sun loungers and towels available. Service in the Regency Club outstanding. Some of the Cafe Fresco buffet food was barely adequate so we avoided - on the first visit took advantage of the a-la-carte menu, but a cafe atmosphere was not the right setting in which to enjoy this food. The Cascades fine dining restaurant was unfortunately closed for most of our stay (urgent maintenance?) - this was very disappointing and it would have been so easy for the Management to have transferred their fine dining experience to the Beach House restaurant that is closed in the evenings - they in my mind have missed making one of their best located restaurants available for a-la-carte food in the evenings when the Cascades restaurant is unavailable or fully booked. We would suggest hotel guests book Bed & Breakfast only and pay for food as they go along. The half board could not be used at lunch time. Any unspent money from the half board food allowance of EGP 480 per room for dinner was lost if this was not spent at the Sala Thai restaurant or Cascades (both excellent food) and only coins retained if dining at the Souk could be held onto to spend if you could on another evening. The weather was excellent and perfect for UK visitors 30 degrees C. and a dry heat perfect for what we required and only a five hour flight. We had six excellent massages at the spa that was very well equipped and the staff were very well trained and certainly knew what they were doing. All in all an excellent holiday and we would recommend to our family and friends especially if booking a Regency Club room.

Room Tip: Regency Club room on the seafront.

Very good room with excellent sea view. Kept spotlessly clean & tidy. Linen changed daily.
Ground layout with extensive and intricate gardens & pools & walkways leading down to super private beach on Gardens Bay......where the best scuba & snorkelling are found.
4 excellent established restaurants serving good food.
Service from staff excellent and delivered in friendly manner - faultless .. nothing was too much trouble.
Good perimeter security.
So good we didn't leave the resort the whole week - for a chill-out break this hotel complex a.k.a "resort" combined with the guaranteed sunshine can't be beaten.
A few minor shortcomings.....a) bathrooms though well equiped and clean were a little "tired", b) the Souk dining complex (in addition to the 4 restaurants earlier mentioned) didn't work for us....they need to rethink the whole process there and c) they charge for Wi Fi access (£E51 for 30 minutes)....greedy really.....nowadays Wi Fi access is so extensive it should be a free service.
But these shortcomings were of minor significance only.......everything else was so good here it didn't impact on our enjoyment of our holiday here.
Overall......good value.
I would have NO HESITATION in holidaying at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a front sea view..........its really worth it.

This is a very good compromise hotel in Sharm. Either they are too focused on diving and are basic or are comfortable but struggle with diving bags in reception. This was a happy blend for my 18 year son and myself (divers) and my wife (hates diving loves luxury). We had a royal villa that was a n excellent layout with good living space and better than usual Sharm service. This wasn't Asian or UAE standard but very, very good for Egypt. The place was spotless, the beach and jetty good (apart from some very rude Russians) and the multi-tierd pool great fun. We wre ther just outside school holiday season so the place was quiet and civilised.

My wife and I were back again in early November 2012 having already been in May 2012 and Christmas 2011 with our family so our third visit in less than a year.
We are repeat visitors to the Regency club at the Hyatt and this was either our 8th or 9th visit.
As usual the Regency club and all it's staff under the guidance of the Regency Club Manager were excellent not something I can say about the rest of the hotel but lets details good and not so good.
NOT SO GOOD.
1, The rather poor attitude of a lot of the front of Hotel staff in the main Hotel.
2, A rather restricted dining option although breakfast is OK and the Cascades restraunt is very very good.
3, The hotel seems to be losing a lot of it's quality staff who always made you feel so at home.
4, It is obvious staff levels have been greatly reduced so quality of service is down but not the prices to reflect the reduction in service.
5, My main complaint though is the presence at the Club Beach and Club area of the owner's Ukranian wife . Her attitude and open aggression and superior attitude towards the staff is terrible and all carried out in full view and hearing of the Club guests, she seems to view guests at the club beach as an irratation despite the fact we contribute to her lifestyle.
This issue really needs resolution as I find her rude and annoying, as do other guests, good manners cost nothing and demonstrates a bit of class. On our last visit we witnessed her friends or family so drunk on the club beach they could not stand and this was on an almost daily basis.
GOOD
1, The reef and it's extensive collection of fish, rays and corralls.
2, Eating at the Cascades restraunt excellent food and service.
3, The excellent Regency club and all it's management and staff at the club and the beach.
4, Always Mr Gaessler for taking a personal interest.
5 , Young Abduhl Monseff excuse spelling
As you will see we are still fans and will be going back again and again God willing, but quality of service is dropping due to staff reductions and the issues of the owners wife really does need resolution it is highly embarrasing for guests to have to witness her appalling behaviour.
These comments may not go down well with the owner but if it's a big problem let us know and we will go elsewhere, I hope this is not the case as we love this place and pay a large amount of money out on an annual basis.
Anyway enough now, Mr Gaessler will know who wrote this review so if comments about wife not appreciated we can go back to using the 4 Seasons although prefer to come home to the Regency, just sort this issue.

Room Tip: Regency club suites are best

This will have been our 8 th trip to this hotel- a wonderful relaxing resort with exceptional staff, great food, beautiful gardens, and wonderful snorkelling off the pontoon on the beach. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a restful relaxing holiday in the sun. The regency club is well worth the upgrade with drinks around the pool all day and before dinner. Just never want to go home! The staff could not be better- extremely polite and helpful- many have become friends .well worth a visit and 85% of guests are returnees!

Our family 2 adults two children 11 and 14 girls. We have just spent a wonderful relaxing half term week at the Hyatt. We booked with best at travel. Their rep Bassem met us very promptly as soon as we were off the plane. sorted visas out and had us swept through passport and baggage collection in record time. Short transfer to the hotel. We were staying in 2 connecting regency club rooms. We were taken to the club to check in and then taken to our rooms. After reading some reviews they said the rooms were in need of a referb which they are but not as bad as we were expecting. Just a bit dated. Large pool areas plenty of sun loungers and the staff couldn't do enough for you in all areas of the hotel. We'd staying the the Ritz Carlton a few years ago and the staffing was definitely an issue there.
My 11 year old took full advantage of the water slide and made a few friends lots of English and Russian families staying that week.
We were their to dive. The dive centre was very helpful and both girls had a taster dive. You can dive straight from the shore or the jetty. My husband and I dived nearly everyday its a large reef with so much to see we saw something different every time, just fantastic.
Restaurants were good we liked the Thai. Souk had entertainment on every night belly dancing, fire eater etc We did go out of the hotel twice once to Soho sq my husband has tailored shorts so was refused inside the restaurant we just had to sit outside. Which sounds very odd but it was really smokey with everyone around us smoking. Food wasn't that great (Indian). Went to Nairma bay ate at the Hard rock cafe which was totally awful. Food was late and really dried up.
My husband, my daughter and I had massages which were really good too. Used the Gym most days. Got most cardio machines you'd use at home and a few weights.

We'd gone for a week of sun and to relax and thats what we got beautiful sunshine everyday!

Oct half term.
