Hotel was nice food was average but overall unless you were Russian staff would only attend to your needs if you made a fuss,overall the holiday was great but only because the people we were there with made it so

Room Tip: Ask for room 206/207 best pool view and far enough away from restaurant and bar at night

my husband and I keep goin back ever year to mexicana we find the staff very helpful and always smiling even management met a lovely woman in June cath Robinson who is customer relations she was brilliant easy to talk to and very help full hope to see her in September thank to everyone at mexicana we call our second home xx

Similar to others, the intial impression was good - staff seemed very attentive, they took our bags to the room and switched on the air-con (for this there is an expectation of a tip straight away..) The room was good, it was as advertised and even had a second WC, which was a bonus. The air con didnt work too well but they fixed it straight away. There after we were left to work out what was what ourselves, not brilliant but wasnt too hard to do. The staff in the main seemed to be a little late in almost every way, apart from the towel man, who was a real early bird!. The bar never opened on time unless Kath, more on her later, got involved. The restuarant was late in opening on more than one occasion, and to be blunt standing waiting in the glaring heat wasnt fun. The food was edible for sure, there was always chicken, slightly dry, and rice on offer, with pasta too......there was fish too but i stayed away from it so cant comment.
Around the pool there was a fairly constant stream of "offers" which even a polite no didnt always head off, things from diving trips to cruises, massages to beauty treatments...Its very tricky when you are there to relax and you feel you have to constantly bat them away.
the bar staff in the main didnt seem to like the idea of people enjoying a drink, and went out of their way to pour the lager into the smallest beaker i have seen in a long time, and to pour it with the biggest head possible - if you are going to offer all inclusive, then you have to let folks at least have a half pint whenever they want one, as opposed to the 75/100mls they rather grudgingly served up.

The local staff seemed to favour the other nationalities over the british, so be aware!

some of the other residents seemed to have a real issue with people enjoying themselves, to the extent that we twice had a childs tiny sports ball thrown from the pool area, once into a hedge and the second time onto a roof - the lesson to take from that, watch out for the people who think the pool is solely for themselves at all times, the kids did their best to avoid them but these folks went out of their way to get in the way!

They also decided on more than one occasion to drown out the hotels music, with a ridiclously loud boom box - rude is the work i would use for these people

Kath - she was a real star, she is the guest relations, and was great at making sure everything was done quickly and well whenever she was about - she, as i mentioned earlier, jumped in and served in the bar for the first 15/20 mins most moring whilst the staff slowly stocked up, she helped us all - without her being there i would probably be marking this down by at least one mark

We stayed 6 nights in the resort. We had a warm welcome, got showed our room and they made sure on our late arrival we could have something to eat in the restaurant.
Unfortunately none of the staff showed us around where everything was and how breakfast, lunch, coffee time and dinner worked.
As all inclusive guest all soft drinks and local alcoholic drinks are included in your package, these are served in the smallest cups that can be found.
During our stay only one evening of entertainment was provided.
It was lovely that this resort has two swimming pools, but they need to be cleaned more regularly as all the sun cream is floating in the water and tiles are dirty. The beds round the pools are comfortable. Mexicana Sharm has a towel service, when observing the corner where these towels get handed out I saw that many towels at the end of the day go back in the storage box, instead of being cleaned.
We came to relax and be away from the daily hassle at work. Instead of enjoying the weather and relaxing near the pool or on the beach we got a lot of hassle from various people ( excursions, spa, paper boy, photographer). Even after asking nicely to be left alone they kept coming back ( photographer at the beach especially).
Some of the staff were really nice and polite and made us feel comfortable, while other members of staff spoke in their own language and made us feel uncomfortable as they were talking about us.
During mealtimes plates get cleared away from the tables, sometimes even when you are not finished. During quieter moments staff took their time and even served drinks.
The room was clean well kept by housekeeping. The room and bathroom are both specious. Although clean, some tiles are broken and no toilet brushes are available in the toilets.
We had some problems with the telephone, especially during the night time, when the phone rang a few times and after answering no one spoke.
This could be a lovely resort when staff are better trained and everything is better kept.

Just got home from the Mexicana I love this hotel my holiday was amazing my family had a great time meet some lovely people who will stay friends 4 long time 2 come was sad 2 come home all the staff at the Mexicana are great see you all soon love the walker family x

This hotel was a very good and clean hotel in our first look, I heard about the creatures, my partner and me would encounter before I we arrived in sharm el sheikh, so I expected the obvious rodents then one day I asked another guess is this normal and if the was having the same problem with the ants I was shocked to find out it wasn't happening to no one else but us, so I complained and was kindly and immediately offered a new room which me and my partner thought was the best and most positive outcome having spent most of our stay at the mexicana in a infested room, however the new room which we moved into was now infested by cockroaches which my partner hated as well as me, We're not complainers but we knew of a England lady which was working closely with the hotel named Cathy we told her and kindly was allowed a all inclusive last day which when we think about it was nice but we paid money to live in conditions which were extremely poor, we agreed to have a all inclusive meal which wasn't worth the agreement however my partner was asked to sign a disclosed form preventing her from speaking on this issue but I didn't hence my exposure of our situation, the all around report of this hotel is it was a good stay and we did love our time in sharm however the food in the restaurant and the drinks by the pool wasn't up to scratch we spent most of the time dinning out even though we was half board we found eating outside the resort prevented us sitting on the toilet for hours, I would go back to the mexicana but I won't be staying in the room one night if there is a infestation, demand a new room ASAP, over wise bring your own bug spray cause all the had was fly spray for all the creatures running about,.

having been staying at this hotel many times with my children family and friends its kinda gone down hill, the staff are great always clean sheets towels not a problem there, its the entertainment theres none at all on the odd occasion they get a belly dancer in but once you've seen one you've seen them all the belly dancer starts around 10.30 but the all inclusive drinks finish at 11! we had to tell the reception about the aircon in the up stairs room and the reception its self if you didn't ask they would keep if off! and its really hot over there, theres a woman called cath who recently started working there lovely woman who helps and listerns to what needs doing and improving hopefully the management take these on board. be careful when out and about they try ripping you off with every thing!! other then that its a beautiful place good for a relaxation holiday and a good tan
