“Nothing has Changed (thankfully)”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

We have just arrived back from the Baron Palms, this was our third stay in as many years and i want to say that nothing has changed.

On our arrival, we were upgraded to a pool view room, (112) which was very nice, at this point though i have to say that we do prefer the garden side, that is just our personal preference, as it is much quieter on that side, we go to bed quite early and get up very early, although i must stress that is by no means noisy on the pool side, you can hear the live music till about midnight.

The Hotel Manager, Mr Ismail Kalinci, took over from "The Hoff" on Tuesday 15th May and i thought he would have a real job on his hands stepping into those shoes, BUT, he is really nice and is often seen around the hotel, speaking to the guests, on one occasion, we saw him in the restaurant clearing dishes!!! i was very impressed with him. He always went to the hotel lobby to wave off the guests who were leaving, a very nice personal touch.

Reception Staff are very helpful, always smiling and ready to assist should you need anything.

Bell captain, aww, Hassan, he is so lovely, he was there for the 3 years we have been going and always remembers us.

Rooms are pretty much all the same, very clean and comfy, beds are changed every day, i asked for a mattress topper and it was there when we got back from our evening meal, bathroom facilities are great, a little basket containing shampoo, shower gel, nail file, shower cap, ear buds, soap powder, hand and body lotion and clean towels every day.

Restaurants are spotless, food is great, always found something to eat and if not you can ask the chef to make you something, he will be delighted.

Beach, our favourite place, the bar staff are great, special hello to Shriff and Saleh, always smiling and wanting to chat about the footie.

Animation, oh my god, Alex is the funniest guy, but watch him if you play connect four with him as he tries to take your attention away and then beats you when you least expect it. Ask him about NINA from ITALY, with the long hair. He will know who you mean...................

there is not anything else to say really except that we had an amazing time and will be back next year.

oh p.s we got to keep the room till 5 at no extra cost, very welcome touch for us as we wern't leaving till 6.00pm

keep up the good work everyone, and the very best of luck to Ismail Kalinci, we will see you all next year.

My husband and I arrived at the Baron Palms on 14th May 2012. At first it was slightly daunting because it really is in the middle of no-where but we soon realised we were close by to other resorts and amenities. We received an exceptional welcome before being taken to our exceptionally clean and bright suite which had everything we needed in it. We could even choose what type of pillows we liked! We had a welcome tour the following morning where our friendly holiday rep explained where things were and what was on offer in the resort. From day one we noticed that the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We soon got to know some of the staff and they made our holiday extra special. There's nothing they won't do for you! The hotel and it's grounds are beautiful and impeccably clean. The pool area is stunning. I am writing this sitting on Le Veranda Terrace overlooking the pool and it's lovely waterfall feature. The hotel is about a two minute walk from the beautiful private beach. We went snorkelling off the private jetty and were amazed by the experience! The fish and coral are beautiful! We ate in every restaurant and found no complaints with the food. The chefs really go all out every day in the Tiran Restaurant. The environment is very relaxed but the opportunity is there to participate in more active activities. We watched a couple of shows in their ampetheatre which were very good. The animation team were a brilliant source of entertainment every day. The shopping boulevard is close by and has a few beautiful shops and a pharmacy for the essentials. I had 2 massages, a manicure, pedicure and 2 facials at the spa in the resort all for very reasonable prices. The staff in the spa are fantastic and always make you feel relaxed and pampered. I could go on for ages about this resort and it's staff and there would be no complaints whatsoever. The weather complimented our holiday beautifully and we hope to return here next year. I would highly recommend this hotel to people of all ages. The service and quality are second to none! We couldn't have hoped for a better place to take our honeymoon!!

Just returned from a fantastic holiday, management and staff are the best, hotel is keep spotless, including all outside toilets, rooms are a good size and have nice little touches, dressing gowns and flip flops also provided, no need to take shower gel, shampoo, soap , even washing powder provided in rooms. Iron and iron board also supplied if asked. Always something nice to eat, but remember you are in egypt and not benidorm!! just a small tip, if you are a whiskey drinker buy some at the airport - not nice at hotel!!!! What return and recommend.

Room Tip: To be honest we had a garden view room 322 and our friends were in room 316 - nice and quiet - excel...

Just spent 11 days at this hotel and had a great time. It's small for an all inclusive but with all the facilities of a larger one which is what makes it charming. The staff genuinely care that you have a great holiday. Ignore any negative comments about this hotel because it's changing any weaknesses and making improvements everyday. Management constantly check that guests are happy so there is always an opportunity to say if you are not happy with something.
ROOMS
The rooms are nice and have all the facilities of a good quality hotel. Comfy bed, spacious balcony, bathrobes, complimentary shampoo etc, cleaned to a high standard (if having a  view is important then go for a pool view but all the rooms are the same, shade on the balcony in the morning with garden view) we upgraded to pool view.
FOOD
Choice of 3 - buffet (good choice and some well presented deserts-chefs take great pride)  Paradise (next to the pool) best food in my opinion. If you want anything a bit different, ask Moshin he is always keen to help.
Egyptian has a great starter and the kebabs are grilled in front of you.
BEACH
Lovely! great beds, big towels, personal service with a big smile from Saleh and Sherif. We had some great lunches on the beach.
Check out the boat trips if you want to see some dolphins and try other places to snorkel.
To get to the beach you pass some shops (including a chemist and supermarket) on site. Some of the shop owners cant help but shout out to you, which we hate, so we went into the one that didn't  (Ali Baba-very funny).
ENTERTAINMENT
There is a very enthusiastic animation team offering lots of different activities during the day but don't worry if you don't want it, it's not in your face. Even in the evening the entertainment is in a closed off makeshift amphitheatre (it's there if you want it but unlike some places it can be avoided if you prefer a quiet night). There is something for all ages. Day and night. I never thought I would say this but I actually played in a beach darts tournament set up by Igor (great guy-seek him out) and it was a great laugh.
BEAUTY
I didn't try the spa but I did have a fantastic facial, manicure and pedicure when I first got there. So if you don't have time before you leave uk then try the beauty salon when you get there. Thanks for making me look a little younger Mohammed.
CONCIERGE and RECEPTION
Anything you need or if you want a taxi anywhere then ask these, they are always really helpful.
PRE-DINNER
Go to the Lounge bar for a cocktail and some nibbles. No matter how busy it is, the staff there are quick and efficient.

If like me you prefer a smaller hotel with five star facilities, great food, peaceful beach and a more personal touch then try this hotel.

Several things stand out about this hotel.
All the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful, honest and generally seemed to be much more happy than when we last visited Egypt before the revolution.
Secondly, the cleanliness of the whole site, including the beach and underwater is first class.
But for us, being able to drop in to such an amazing 'world class' reef from one of three floating jetties really made the holiday. No need to take a boat trip, you can have a warm swim for an hour in the morning and afternoon 'all inclusive'. Take your own fins and mask or buy one from the hotel shop which had cheap and good quality items.
Our first 'all inclusive' was certainly a success. A week with low occupancy, outside of school holidays was enough and extremely good value with Thomas Cook.
You can get tired of buffet food, but there is enough here to make up practically any combination of dish that you might want with excellent Mediterranean and Egyptian salads and the two 'A la carte' restaurants.
We had some suggestions for the new manager - Ishmail Mehmet which he received very considerately, including the price of the Spa, but generally its a tight and well run ship.
Definitely recommend and be coming back.

My sister and I went there for a relaxing week and that is exactly what we got. The resort is by the beach and was spotless. There was always someone cleaning and maintaining which was reassuring. The pool was lovely and was very clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful from the maintenance men to the managers. The service was excellent and we enjoyed meals in the buffet and also in the Egyptian restaurant and the poolside bar. The food on the beach was not as comprehensive but before we left we were told that this had been addressed and improved. We had a family room to ourselves which had two toilets and washbasins and one shower. It was a generous size and was very comfortable. The rooms could do with a bit of updating but we did not spend much time there. The food was plentiful and well presented and very variable with something for everyone. You get beach towels provided. There was a machine in the lobby which changed English and other currencies into Egyptian pounds. This was really useful. The trips we booked from our rep were good. We went to Petra in Jordan in 24 hours which was a bit gruelling but very interesting. It meant however that we could go a bit further afield without taking too much of our week up and exhausting ourselves. The snorkelling trip we went on was good with a full day,not too many people on the boat, and a surprising attention to health and safety. We were well looked after and would not hesitate to return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: The garden view rooms at the back are very quiet with no noise from the hotel activities.

This review relates to the Baron Palms Hotel not the Baron Palms Resort. Visited March/April 2012. What a brilliant all inclusive holiday - this hotel was recommended by several people and we were not disappointed. The hotel, staff (especially Lauren and Alexandra - guest relations) and animation team (especially Bob, Aliona (she is gorgeous) and Sasha) were just first rate and this is easily one of the best hotels we have experienced for so many reasons. We would definitely re-visit in the future and would recommend most heartily.

Room Tip: Pool view room was very good.
