“Great entertainment and location, pity about the condition.”
Reviewed 16 March 2014

I have just got back from 2 weeks in the Ghazala Beach hotel. What I have to say is the location was great, 2 minutes from the centre, the hotel has a fab beach and beach entertainment. Its a real pity that the hotel needs refurbishment as it is all a bit tatty and was a bit on the dirty side. On the plus side, the food has really improved since we stayed there 3 years ago and we really enjoyed that.

Thanks so much to Olivia for talking us into going out, Tyler for looking after me so carefully, Chris for taking me outside my comfort zone, Mezo for going out of his way to help, Valentina for your kindness, Lauren for making me crack up a lot, Sophie and Jenny, would like to get the chance to know you both better :) thanks so much animation team, for making our stay totally fun and different to any one we had before. I look forward to seeing you guys again.

Room Tip: Don't go in one of the little hut thingies, they look cute but are a bit stuffy!!

The Ghazala Beach has a prime location sitting between the Movenpick/Maritim and the Hilton on Naama Bay. In my opinion the owners are milking every last euro from the location with out investing the money that the hotel very obviously needs to bring it up to standard. The rooms are just tired and worn out with dodgy electrics and an old musty smell, much like the rest of the hotel. The staff (cleaners and reception) are good and helpful, the breakfasts are ok if a bit sparse, the breakfast room is a disgrace for a hotel being a combination of a worn out building and a large tent.

I would say the authorities need to inspect the hotel and say to the owners invest the money that very obviously needs investing or sell up and get out. New owners can then make the best of the prime location and present a true 4/5 star hotel for customers.

The hotel currently (putting the location to one side) is at best a 3 star. Ignore the official Egyption rating of 4 star as that is a nonsense.

This is a great 4* hotel. Its in a great location with its own private beach aswell as private pools at the hotel site for adults and kids. Friendly staff and great service. Free wifi at reception and room cleaning daily. And on top of all this its just a 5 minutes walk from the Naama bay market and restaurants. Me and my family loved it here and I would highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a great deal and service at a very low price.

The hotel looked too good to be true for the amount we paid but I could not fault anything. Very lucky to be situated beachside with the glorious sea on the hotels doorstep. The beach attendants were very attentive and extremely chatty and friendly.
The hotel is well located; close enough to walk to the main central area but slightly further away so noise is not a problem.
We had bed and breakfast and although slightly disappointed with the selection of breakfast items, there is a chef on hand to cater for any egg, omelette, pancake requests.
Swimming pools were great, we preferred the one that was not beachside as it was a lot quieter in the evenings and during the day.

Room was fine - everything you expect to find in a hotel room, furnishings very average but adequate by no means.

Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking to come here again.

I went here with my family and the hotel was very well situated. It was on the beach side, close to the local entertainment and in a reasonably lively area. However, it was quite and peaceful at the same time. You can enjoy a good night sleep and still be close to all the local entertainment.

The staff are very welcoming and attentive. We had a two bedrooms both were of a good size, clean and comfortable with a complimenting bathroom/shower.

There is a great pool but we spent most of our time in the clear sea where, if you go deep enough you can see some amazing fishes. There are life guards on duty all the time and they do keep an eye out to make sure you don't venture out too far. Always good to know you are safe.

The hotel restaurant has a good variety of food to pick from. The portion sizes were adequate for an individual and very tasteful.

I would say the hotel is suited for couples, families and friends.

A great 7 nights stay at the Ghazala Beach Hotel although they were a few flaws. It was our first time staying here and we were welcomed well by staff. The room furnishings were average. The bathroom wasn't very clean but we managed. In my opinion, I think the hotel was slightly over rated as a 4 star hotel. The rooms were not up to standard and could definitely be improved. The staff were certainly very friendly and helped us in every way they could. The biggest problem we found was the food. The variety of food was poor and there wasn't much choice for children. We never went to bed starving so the food was OK but could be improved massively. The location was the best. It was right near to the shops and food places for kids. The thing we enjoyed most was the private beach. It was so nice and relaxing. Great for kids to swim in the sea. Great holiday overall and i would recommend it to anyone else looking for a week in the sun!
